1 Bwerani, tiyeni timuyimbire Yehova mwachimwemwe, tiyeni tifuwule kwa Thanthwe la chipulumutso chathu
Oh come, let’s sing to Adonai. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our yesha' ·salvation·!
2 Tiyeni tibwere pamaso pake ndi chiyamiko ndipo mupembedzeni Iyeyo ndi zida zoyimbira ndi nyimbo.
Let’s come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let’s extol him with songs!
3 Pakuti Yehova ndi Mulungu wamkulu, mfumu yayikulu pamwamba pa milungu yonse.
For Adonai is a great God, a great King above all deities.
4 Mʼmanja mwake muli maziko ozama a dziko lapansi, ndipo msonga za mapiri ndi zake.
In his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the mountains are also his.
5 Nyanja ndi yake, pakuti anayilenga ndi Iye, ndipo manja ake anawumba mtunda wowuma.
The sea is his, and he made it. His hands formed the dry land.
6 Bwerani, tiyeni tiwerame pomulambira, tiyeni tigwade pamaso pa Yehova Mlengi wathu;
Oh come, let’s worship and hawa ·bow low, prostrate·. Let’s kneel before Yahweh 'Oseinu [Yahweh our Maker],
7 pakuti Iye ndiye Mulungu wathu ndipo ife ndife anthu a pabusa pake, ndi nkhosa za mʼdzanja lake. Lero ngati inu mumva mawu ake,
for he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, and the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would sh'ma ·hear obey· his voice!
8 musawumitse mitima yanu monga momwe munachitira pa Meriba, monga munachitira tsiku lija pa Masa mʼchipululu.
Don’t harden your heart, as at Meribah [Quarreling], as in the day of Massah [Testing] in the wilderness,
9 Kumene makolo anu anandiyesa ndi kundiputa, ngakhale anaona zimene Ine ndinazichita.
when your fathers tempted me, tested me, and saw my work.
10 Kwa zaka makumi anayi ndinali wokwiya ndi mʼbado umenewo; ndipo ndinati, “Iwo ndi anthu amene mitima yawo imasochera ndipo sanadziwe njira zanga.”
Forty long years I loathed that generation, and said, “This is a people that errors in their heart. They have not known my ways.”
11 Choncho ndili chikwiyire, ndinalumbira kuti, “Iwowa sadzalowa ku malo anga a mpumulo.”
Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They won’t enter into my rest.”
