1 Ndakatulo ya Etani, wa banja la Ezara. Ndidzayimba za chikondi chachikulu cha Yehova kwamuyaya; ndi pakamwa panga ndidzachititsa kuti kukhulupirika kwanu kudziwike ku mibado yonse.
An Instructive Psalm, by Ethan the Ezrahite. The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh, age-abidingly will I sing, To generation after generation, will I make known thy faithfulness with my mouth.
2 Ndidzalalikira kuti chikondi chanu chidzakhazikika mpaka muyaya, kuti Inu munakhazikitsa kukhulupirika kwanu kumwamba kwenikweniko.
For I said, To times age-abiding, shall lovingkindness be built up, As for the heavens, thou wilt establish thy faithfulness therein.
3 Inu munati, “Ndachita pangano ndi wosankhidwa wanga, ndalumbira kwa Davide mtumiki wanga kuti,
I have solemnised a covenant, for my chosen one, I have sworn unto David my servant:
4 ‘Ndidzakhazikitsa zidzukulu zako mpaka muyaya. Ndidzachititsa kuti mpando wako waufumu ukhazikike ku mibado yonse,’” (Sela)
Unto times age-abiding, will I establish thy seed, And will build up, unto generation after generation, thy throne. (Selah)
5 Mayiko akumwamba amatamanda zozizwitsa zanu Yehova, kukhulupirika kwanunso, mu msonkhano wa oyera mtima anu.
So shall the heavens praise thy wondrousness, O Yahweh, —Yea, thy faithfulness, in the convocation of holy ones.
6 Pakuti ndani mu mlengalenga angalingane ndi Yehova? Ndani wofanana ndi Yehova pakati pa zolengedwa zakumwamba?
For whom, in the skies, can one compare unto Yahweh? [Or] can one liken unto Yahweh, among the sons of the mighty?
7 Mu msonkhano wa oyera mtima Mulungu amaopedwa kwambiri; Iye ndiye wochititsa mantha kupambana onse amene amuzungulira.
A GOD inspiring awe in the circle of the holy ones, exceedingly, And to be reverenced above all who are round about him.
8 Inu Yehova Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse, ndani wofanana nanu? Yehova ndinu wamphamvu ndipo kukhulupirika kwanu kwakuzungulirani.
O Yahweh, God of hosts! Who, like thee, is mighty, O Yah! With thy faithfulness round about thee:
9 Mumalamula nyanja ya mafunde awukali; pamene mafunde ake awundana Inu mumawakhalitsa bata.
Thou, rulest over the swelling of the sea, When the rolling waves thereof lift themselves, Thou, dost bid them be still:
10 Munaphwanya Rahabe monga munthu wophedwa; ndi dzanja lanu lamphamvu munabalalitsa adani anu.
Thou, hast crushed—as one slain—Rahab, With thy strong arm, hast thou scattered thy foes.
11 Mayiko akumwamba ndi anu ndiponso dziko lapansi ndi lanu; munapanga dziko lonse ndi zonse zili mʼmenemo.
Thine, are the heavens, Yea, thine, the earth, The world and the fulness thereof, Thou, didst found them;
12 Munalenga Kumpoto ndi Kummwera; Tabori ndi Herimoni akuyimba ndi chimwemwe pa dzina lanu.
The north and the south, Thou, didst create them, —Tabor and Hermon, with thy Name, shall shout for joy:
13 Mkono wanu ndi wamphamvu; dzanja lanu ndi lamphamvu, dzanja lanu lamanja ndi lopambana.
Thine is an arm with might, Strong is thy hand, High is thy right hand;
14 Chilungamo ndi chiweruzo cholungama ndiye maziko a mpando wanu waufumu; chikondi ndi kukhulupirika zimayenda patsogolo panu.
Righteousness and justice, are the establishing of thy throne, Lovingkindness and faithfulness, go before thy face.
15 Ndi odala amene aphunzira kuyamika Inu, amene amayenda mʼkuwunika kwa nkhope yanu Yehova.
How happy are the people who know the joyful sound! O Yahweh! in the light of thy countenance, shall they firmly march along;
16 Amakondwera mʼdzina lanu tsiku lonse lathunthu; amasangalala koposa mʼchilungamo chanu.
In thy Name, shall they exult all the day, And, in thy righteousness, shall they be exalted.
17 Pakuti Inu ndiye ulemerero wawo ndi mphamvu yawo ndipo mwa kukoma mtima kwanu Inu mumakweza nyanga yathu.
For, the beauty of their strength, thou art, And, in thine acceptance, shall our horns be exalted.
18 Ndithudi, chishango chathu ndi cha Yehova, Mfumu yathu kwa Woyerayo wa Israeli.
For, to Yahweh, belongeth our Shield, And, to the Holy One of Israel, belongeth our King.
19 Kale munayankhula mʼmasomphenya, kwa anthu anu okhulupirika munati, “Ndapatsa mphamvu wankhondo; ndakweza mnyamata wochokera pakati pa anthu.
Then spakest thou in vision of thy men of lovingkindness, and saidst—I have laid help upon a mighty one, I have exalted one chosen from among the people;
20 Ndamupeza mtumiki wanga Davide; ndamudzoza ndi mafuta opatulika.
I have found David my servant, With mine own holy oil, have I anointed him;
21 Dzanja langa lidzamuchirikiza; zoonadi, mkono wanga udzamupatsa mphamvu.
With whom my hand shall be firm, Yea, mine arm, shall strengthen him;
22 Adani sadzamulamula kuti apereke msonkho; anthu oyipa sadzamusautsa.
No foe shall make exactions on him, Nor shall, a son of perversity, humiliate him;
23 Ndidzaphwanya adani ake pamaso pake ndi kukantha otsutsana naye.
And I will shatter, from before him, his adversaries, And, them who hate him, will I smite;
24 Chikondi changa chokhulupirika chidzakhala naye, ndipo kudzera mʼdzina langa nyanga yake idzakwezedwa.
And, my faithfulness and my lovingkindness, shall be with him, And, in my Name, exalted shall be his horn;
25 Ndidzayika dzanja lake pa nyanja, dzanja lake lamanja pa mitsinje.
And I will set, in the sea, his hand, And, in the rivers, his right hand;
26 Iyeyo adzafuwula kwa Ine kuti, ‘Ndinu Atate anga, Mulungu wanga, Thanthwe ndi Chipulumutso changa.’
He, shall cry out unto me, My Father, thou art, My GOD, and my Rock of Salvation!
27 Ndidzamuyika kuti akhale mwana wanga woyamba kubadwa; wokwezedwa kwambiri pakati pa mafumu a dziko lapansi.
Yea, I, will appoint him, firstborn, Most High to the kings of the earth!
28 Ndidzamusungira chifundo changa kwamuyaya, ndipo pangano langa ndi iye silidzatha.
Age-abidingly, will I keep for him my lovingkindness, And, my covenant, hath been made steadfast for him;
29 Ine ndidzakhazikitsa zidzukulu zake mpaka muyaya, mpando wake waufumu ngati masiku a miyamba.
Therefore will I appoint, to futurity, his seed, And his throne as the days of the heavens.
30 “Ngati ana ake adzataya lamulo langa ndi kusatsatira malangizo anga,
If his sons forsake my law, And, in my regulations, do not walk;
31 ngati adzaswa malamulo anga ndi kulephera kusunga ziphunzitso zanga,
If, my statutes, they profane, And, my commandments, do not keep:
32 Ine ndidzalanga tchimo lawo ndi ndodo, mphulupulu zawo powakwapula.
Then will I punish, with a rod, their transgression; And, with stripes, their iniquity:
33 Koma sindidzachotsa chikondi changa pa iye, kapena kukhala wosakhulupirika kwa iyeyo.
But, my lovingkindness, will I not frustrate from them, Neither will I falsify my faithfulness;
34 Sindidzaswa pangano langa kapena kusintha zimene milomo yanga yayankhula.
I will not violate my covenant, And that which hath proceeded out of my lips, will I not alter:
35 Ndinalumbira kamodzi mwa kuyera kwanga ndipo sindidzanama kwa Davide,
One thing, have I sworn by my holiness, Verily, to David, will I not lie;
36 kuti zidzukulu zake zidzakhale kwamuyaya ndipo mpando wake waufumu udzakhazikika pamaso panga ngati dzuwa;
His seed, age-abidingly, shall remain, And, his throne, be like the sun before me;
37 udzakhazikika kwamuyaya monga mwezi, mboni yokhulupirika mʼmitambo. (Sela)
Like the moon, shall it be established unto times age-abiding, And, a witness, in the skies, hath been made sure. (Selah)
38 “Koma tsopano Inu mwamukana, mwamutaya, mwamukwiyira kwambiri wodzozedwa wanu.
Yet, thou thyself, hast cast off, and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine Anointed One!
39 Mwakana pangano ndi mtumiki wanu ndipo mwadetsa mʼfumbi chipewa chake chaufumu.
Thou hast cast down the covenant of thy Servant, Thou hast profaned, to the earth, his crown;
40 Inu mwagumula makoma ake onse ndipo mwasandutsa bwinja malinga ake.
Thou hast broken down all his defenses, Thou hast laid his fortresses in ruins;
41 Onse amene amadutsa amalanda zinthu zake; iye wakhala chotonzedwa cha anansi ake.
All the passers by the way, have plundered him, He hath become a reproach to his neighbours;
42 Mwakweza dzanja lamanja la adani ake; mwachititsa kuti adani ake akondwere.
Thou hast raised the right hand of his adversaries, Thou hast gladdened all his enemies;
43 Mwabunthitsa lupanga lake, simunamuthandize pa nkhondo.
Yea thou hast turned the edge of his sword, Neither hast thou caused him to stand in the battle;
44 Inu mwathetsa kukongola kwa ulemerero wake ndipo mwagwetsa pansi mpando wake waufumu.
Thou hast brought to an end his splendour, And, his throne—to the ground, hast thou hurled;
45 Mwachepetsa masiku a unyamata wake; mwamuphimba ndi chofunda chochititsa manyazi. (Sela)
Thou hast shortened the days of his youths, —Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
46 “Mpaka liti Yehova? Kodi mudzadzibisa mpaka kalekale? Mpaka liti ukali wanu udzayaka ngati moto?
How long, O Yahweh, Wilt thou hide thyself utterly? Shall thine indignation, burn like fire?
47 Kumbukirani kuti masiku a moyo wanga ndi ochepa pakuti munalenga kwachabe anthu onse!
Remember how short-lived, I, am, Wherefore, in vain, hast thou created all the sons of Adam?
48 Kodi ndi munthu uti angakhale ndi moyo ndi kusaona imfa? Kapena kudzipulumutsa yekha ku mphamvu ya manda? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
Who is the man that shall live, and not see death? That can deliver his soul from the hand of hades. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Inu Ambuye kodi chili kuti chikondi chanu chachikulu choyamba chija, chimene mwa kukhulupirika kwanu munalumbira kwa Davide?
Where are thy former lovingkindnesses, O My Lord? Thou didst swear unto David, in thy faithfulness!
50 Kumbukirani, Ambuye momwe mtumiki wanu wanyozedwera, momwe ndakhalira ndi kusunga mu mtima mwanga mawu a pangano a anthu a mitundu yonse,
Remember, O My Lord, the reproach of thy servants, I have carried in my bosom the insult of the peoples:
51 mawu achipongwe amene adani anu akhala akunyoza, Inu Yehova, ndi mawu amene akhala akunyoza mayendedwe onse a wodzozedwa wanu.
In that thy foes have reproached, O Yahweh, In that they have reproached the footsteps of thine Anointed One!
52 “Matamando akhale kwa Yehova mpaka muyaya!”
Blessed be Yahweh to times age-abiding, Amen, and Amen!
