1 Pemphero la Davide. Ndimvereni Yehova ndipo mundiyankhe, pakuti ndine wosauka ndi wosowa.
Yahweh, listen [IDM] to what I say and answer me, because I am weak and needy.
2 Yangʼanirani moyo wanga, pakuti ndine wodzipereka kwa Inu. Inu ndinu Mulungu wanga; pulumutsani mtumiki wanu amene amadalira Inu. Inu ndinu Mulungu wanga.
Prevent me from dying now, because I (am loyal to/continue to believe in) you; save/rescue me, because I serve you and I trust in you, my God.
3 Mundichitire chifundo, Inu Ambuye, pakuti ndikuyitana Inu tsiku lonse.
Lord, be kind to me, because I cry out to you all during the day.
4 Bweretsani chimwemwe kwa mtumiki wanu, Ambuye, pakuti ndimadalira Inu.
Lord, cause me to be glad, because I (pray to/worship) [IDM] you.
5 Inu Ambuye, ndinu wokhululuka ndi wabwino, wodzaza ndi chikondi kwa onse amene amayitana Inu.
Lord, you are good [to us], and you forgive [us]; you faithfully love very much all those who (pray/call out) to you.
6 Yehova imvani pemphero langa; mvetserani kulira kwanga kofuna chifundo.
Lord, listen to my prayer; hear me when I cry out to you to help me.
7 Pa tsiku la mavuto anga ndidzayitana Inu, pakuti Inu mudzandiyankha.
When I have troubles, I call out to you, because you answer me.
8 Pakati pa milungu palibe wina wofanana nanu Ambuye; palibe ntchito zolingana ndi ntchito zanu.
Lord, among all the gods [whom the heathen nations worship], there is no one like you; not one of them has done [the great things] that you have done.
9 Mitundu yonse ya anthu imene munayipanga idzabwera ndi kudzalambira pamaso panu Ambuye; iwo adzabweretsa ulemerero pa dzina lanu.
Lord, [some day, people from] all the nations that you have established will come and bow down in front of you and they will praise you [MTY].
10 Pakuti ndinu wamkulu ndipo mumachita zodabwitsa; Inu nokha ndiye Mulungu.
You are great, and you do wonderful/marvelous things; only you are God.
11 Ndiphunzitseni njira yanu Yehova, ndipo ndidzayenda mʼchoonadi chanu; patseni mtima wosagawikana kuti ndilemekeze dzina lanu.
Yahweh, teach me what you want me to do in order that I may conduct my life according to what you say, which is true. Cause/Teach me to revere you.
12 Ndidzakutamandani Ambuye Mulungu wanga, ndi mtima wanga wonse; ndidzalemekeza dzina lanu kwamuyaya.
Lord, my God, I [will] thank you with all my inner being, and I will praise you forever.
You faithfully love me very much; you have prevented me from [dying and going to] the place where dead people are. (Sheol h7585)
14 Inu Mulungu wanga, anthu odzikuza akundithira nkhondo; anthu ankhanza akufuna kundipha, amene salabadira za Inu.
But God, proud men are [trying to] attack me; a gang/group of cruel men are wanting to kill me; they are men who do not have any (respect for/interest in) you.
15 Koma Ambuye ndinu Mulungu wachifundo ndi wokoma mtima, wosakwiya msanga, wodzaza ndi chikondi ndi wokhulupirika.
But Lord, you always are mercifully and kind; you do not become angry quickly, you faithfully love us very much and always do for us what you have promised to do.
16 Tembenukirani kwa ine ndipo ndichitireni chifundo; perekani mphamvu zanu kwa mtumiki wanu ndipo pulumutsani mwana wa mdzakazi wanu.
Look down toward me and be merciful to me; cause me to be strong and save/rescue me who serves you [faithfully] like my mother did.
17 Mundionetse chizindikiro cha ubwino wanu kuti adani achione ndi kuchititsidwa manyazi, pakuti Yehova mwandithandiza ndi kunditonthoza.
Yahweh, do something to show me that you are being good to me in order that those who hate me will see that you have encouraged me and helped me, and as a result they will be ashamed.
