1 Nyimbo. Salimo la Asafu. Inu Mulungu musakhale chete; musangoti phee, Mulungu musangoti duu.
A Song, — A Psalm of Asaph. O God, let there be no silence to Thee, Be not silent, nor be quiet, O God.
2 Onani adani anu akuchita chiwawa, amene amadana nanu autsa mitu yawo.
For, lo, Thine enemies do roar, And those hating Thee have lifted up the head,
3 Mochenjera iwo akukambirana za chiwembu kutsutsana ndi anthu anu; Iwo akukonzekera kutsutsana ndi omwe mumawakonda.
Against Thy people they take crafty counsel, And consult against Thy hidden ones.
4 Iwo akunena kuti, “Bwerani” akutero, “Tiyeni tiwononge mtundu wonsewu kuti dzina la Israeli lisakumbukikenso.”
They have said, 'Come, And we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered any more.'
5 Ndi mtima umodzi akukonzekera chiwembu; Iwo achita mgwirizano kutsutsana nanu:
For they consulted in heart together, Against Thee a covenant they make,
6 Matenti a Edomu ndi Aismaeli, Mowabu ndi Ahagiri,
Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
7 Agebala, Aamoni ndi Aamaleki, Afilisti, pamodzi ndi anthu a ku Turo.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
8 Ngakhalenso Aasiriya aphatikizana nawo kupereka mphamvu kwa ana a Loti. (Sela)
Asshur also is joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Muwachitire zomwe munachitira Amidiyani, monga munachitira Sisera ndi Yabini ku mtsinje wa Kisoni.
Do to them as [to] Midian, As [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the stream Kishon.
10 Amene anawonongedwa ku Endori ndi kukhala ngati zinyalala.
They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
11 Anthu awo otchuka muwachite zomwe munachita Orebu ndi Zeebu ana a mafumu muwachite zomwe munachita Zeba ndi Zalimuna,
Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes,
12 amene anati, “Tiyeni tilande dziko la msipu la Mulungu.”
Who have said, 'Let us occupy for ourselves The comely places of God.'
13 Muwasandutse fumbi lowuluka, Inu Mulungu wanga, ngati mankhusu owuluka ndi mphepo.
O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind.
14 Monga moto umatentha nkhalango, kapena malawi a moto kuyatsa phiri,
As a fire doth burn a forest, And as a flame setteth hills on fire,
15 kotero muwathamangitse ndi mphepo yamkuntho, ndi kuwachititsa mantha ndi namondwe.
So dost Thou pursue them with Thy whirlwind, And with Thy hurricane troublest them.
16 Muphimbe nkhope zawo ndi manyazi kuti adzafunefune dzina lanu Yehova.
Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Thy name, O Jehovah.
17 Achite manyazi ndi mantha nthawi zonse; awonongeke mwa manyazi.
They are ashamed and troubled for ever, Yea, they are confounded and lost.
18 Adziwe kuti Inu amene dzina lanu ndi Yehova, ndinu nokha Wammwambamwamba pa dziko lonse lapansi.
And they know that Thou — (Thy name [is] Jehovah — by Thyself, ) [Art] the Most High over all the earth!
