2 kwa Efereimu, Benjamini ndi Manase. Utsani mphamvu yanu; bwerani ndi kutipulumutsa.
Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, stir up your might! Come to save us!
3 Tibwezereni mwakale Inu Mulungu; nkhope yanu itiwalire kuti tipulumutsidwe.
Turn us again, God. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
4 Inu Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse, mpaka liti mkwiyo wanu udzanyeka kutsutsana ndi mapemphero a anthu anu?
LORD God of Hosts, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?
5 Mwawadyetsa buledi wa misozi; mwachitisa iwo kumwa misozi yodzaza mbale.
You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
6 Mwachititsa kuti tikhale gwero la mikangano pakati pa anansi athu, ndipo adani athu akutinyoza.
You make us a source of contention to our neighbours. Our enemies laugh amongst themselves.
7 Tibwezereni mwakale Inu Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse, nkhope yanu itiwalire kuti tipulumutsidwe.
Turn us again, God of Hosts. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
8 Munatulutsa mpesa kuchoka ku Igupto; munathamangitsa anthu a mitundu ina ndi kuwudzala mpesawo.
You brought a vine out of Egypt. You drove out the nations, and planted it.
9 Munawulimira munda wamphesawo, ndipo unamera ndi kudzaza dziko.
You cleared the ground for it. It took deep root, and filled the land.
10 Mapiri anaphimbidwa ndi mthunzi wake, mikungudza yamphamvu ndi nthambi zake.
The mountains were covered with its shadow. Its boughs were like God’s cedars.
11 Unatambalitsa nthambi zake mpaka ku nyanja, mphukira zake mpaka ku mtsinje.
It sent out its branches to the sea, its shoots to the River.
12 Chifukwa chiyani mwagwetsa makoma ake kuti onse amene akudutsa athyole mphesa zake?
Why have you broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
13 Nguluwe zochokera mʼnkhalango zikuwononga ndipo zirombo za mthengo zimawudya.
The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.
14 Bweraninso kwa ife Inu Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse! Yangʼanani pansi muli kumwambako ndipo muone! Uyangʼanireni mpesa umenewu,
Turn again, we beg you, God of Hosts. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,
15 muzu umene dzanja lanu lamanja ladzala, mwana amene inu munamukuza nokha.
the stock which your right hand planted, the branch that you made strong for yourself.
16 Mpesa wanu wadulidwa ndi kutenthedwa ndi moto; pakudzudzula kwanu anthu anu awonongeka.
It’s burnt with fire. It’s cut down. They perish at your rebuke.
17 Dzanja lanu likhale pa munthu amene ali ku dzanja lanu lamanja, mwana wa munthu amene mwalera nokha.
Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.
18 Ndipo ife sitidzatembenukira kumbali kuchoka kwa Inu; titsitsimutseni ndipo tidzayitana pa dzina lanu.
So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name.
19 Tibwezereni mwakale Inu Yehova Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse nkhope yanu itiwalire kuti tipulumutsidwe.
Turn us again, LORD God of Hosts. Cause your face to shine, and we will be saved.
