1 Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Pa zoyimbira za zingwe. Salimo la Asafu. Mulungu amadziwika mu Yuda; dzina lake ndi lotchuka mu Israeli.

For the end, among the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian. God is known in Judea: his name is great in Israel.

2 Tenti yake ili mu Salemu, malo ake okhalamo mu Ziyoni.

And his place has been in peace, and his dwelling-place in Sion.

3 Kumeneko Iye anathyola mivi yowuluka, zishango ndi malupanga, zida zankhondo. (Sela)

There he broke the power of the bows, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. (Pause)

4 Wolemekezeka ndinu, wamphamvu kuposa mapiri amene ali ndi nyama zambiri.

You do wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.

5 Anthu owuma mtima amagona atalandidwa chuma, Iwowo amagona tulo tawo totsiriza; palibe mmodzi wamphamvu amene angatukule manja ake.

All the simple ones in heart were troubled; all the men of wealth have slept their sleep, and have found nothing in their hands.

6 Pa kudzudzula kwanu, Inu Mulungu wa Yakobo, kavalo pamodzi ndi galeta zimakhala chete zitagona pansi.

At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, the riders on horses slumbered.

7 Inu nokha ndiye muyenera kuopedwa. Angathe kuyima pamaso panu ndani mukakwiya?

You are terrible; and who shall withstand you, because of your anger?

8 Kuchokera kumwamba Inu munalengeza chiweruzo, ndipo dziko linaopa ndi kukhala chete,

You did cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

9 pamene Inu Mulungu munadzuka kuti muweruze, kupulumutsa onse osautsidwa mʼdziko. (Sela)

when God arose to judgment, to save all the meek in heart. (Pause)

10 Zoonadi, ukali wanu pa anthu umakubweretserani matamando ndipo opulumuka ku ukali wanu mumawasunga pafupi nanu.

For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to you: and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to you.

11 Chitani malumbiro kwa Yehova Mulungu wanu ndipo muwakwaniritse; anthu onse omuzungulira abweretse mphatso kwa Iye amene ayenera kuopedwa.

Vow, and pay [your vows] to the Lord our God; all that are round about him shall bring gifts, [even] to him that is terrible,

12 Iye amaswa mzimu wa olamulira; amaopedwa ndi mafumu a dziko lapansi.

and that takes away the spirits of princes; to him that is terrible among the kings of the earth.
