1 Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe, potsata mayimbidwe a “Musawononge.” Salimo la Asafu. Nyimbo. Tikuthokoza Inu Mulungu, tikuthokoza, pakuti dzina lanu lili pafupi nafe, anthutu amafotokoza za ntchito zanu zodabwitsa.
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, A Psalm [or] Song of Asaph. To thee, O God, do we give thanks, [to thee] do we give thanks: for [that] thy name is near, thy wondrous works declare.
2 Mumati, “Ine ndimayika nthawi yoyenera, ndine amene ndimaweruza mwachilungamo.
When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
3 Pamene dziko lapansi ndi anthu ake onse anjenjemera, ndine amene ndimagwiriziza mizati yake molimba. (Sela)
The earth and all its inhabitants are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. (Selah)
4 Kwa odzitama ndikuti, ‘Musadzitamenso,’ ndipo kwa oyipa, ‘Musatukulenso nyanga zanu.
I said to the fools, Deal not foolishly; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
5 Musatukule nyanga zanu motsutsana ndi kumwamba; musayankhule ndi khosi losololoka.’”
Lift not up your horn on high: speak [not with] a stiff neck.
6 Kugamula milandu sikuchokera kummawa kapena kumadzulo kapena ku chipululu.
For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 Koma ndi Mulungu amene amaweruza: Iyeyo amatsitsa wina, nakwezanso wina.
But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
8 Mʼdzanja la Yehova muli chikho chodzaza ndi vinyo wochita thovu, wosakanizidwa ndi zokometsera; Iye amamutsanulira pansi ndipo onse oyipa a dziko lapansi amamwa ndi senga zake zonse.
For in the hand of the LORD [there is] a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs of it all the wicked of the earth shall wring [them] out, [and] drink [them].
9 Kunena za ine, ndidzalengeza izi kwamuyaya; ndidzayimba matamando kwa Mulungu wa Yakobo.
But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 Ndidzadula nyanga za onse oyipa koma nyanga za olungama zidzakwezedwa.
All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
