1 Sigioni wa Davide, amene anayimbira Yehova zokhudza Kusi, wa fuko la Benjamini. Inu Yehova Mulungu wanga, Ine ndikuthawira kwa Inu; pulumutseni ndi kundilanditsa kwa onse amene akundithamangitsa,
Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto Jehovah, concerning the words of Cush a Benjamite. O Jehovah my God, in thee do I take refuge: Save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me,
2 mwina angandikadzule ngati mkango, ndi kundingʼamba popanda wondipulumutsa.
Lest they tear my soul like a lion, Rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
3 Inu Yehova Mulungu wanga, ngati ndachita izi ndipo ndapezeka wolakwa,
O Jehovah my God, if I have done this; If there be iniquity in my hands;
4 ngati ndachita zoyipa kwa iye amene ndili naye pa mtendere, kapena popanda chifukwa ndalanda mdani wanga,
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me (Yea, I have delivered him that without cause was mine adversary);
5 pamenepo lolani adani anga andithamangitse ndi kundipitirira, lolani kuti moyo wanga aupondereze pansi ndipo mundigoneke pa fumbi. (Sela)
Let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it; Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, And lay my glory in the dust. (Selah)
6 Nyamukani Yehova, mu mkwiyo wanu; nyamukani kutsutsana ndi mkwiyo wa adani anga. Dzukani Mulungu wanga, lamulirani chilungamo chanu.
Arise, O Jehovah, in thine anger; Lift up thyself against the rage of mine adversaries, And awake for me; thou hast commanded judgment.
7 Lolani gulu la anthu a mitundu ina lisonkhane mokuzungulirani. Alamulireni muli kumwambako;
And let the congregation of the peoples compass thee about; And over them return thou on high.
8 Yehova aweruzeni anthu a mitundu inayo. Ndiweruzeni Yehova, monga mwa chilungamo changa, monga mwa moyo wanga wangwiro, Inu Wammwambamwamba.
Jehovah ministereth judgment to the peoples: Judge me, O Jehovah, according to my righteousness, and to mine integrity that is in me.
9 Inu Mulungu wolungama, amene mumasanthula maganizo ndi mitima, thetsani chiwawa cha anthu oyipa ndipo wolungama akhale motetezedwa.
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish thou the righteous: For the righteous God trieth the minds and hearts.
10 Chishango changa ndi Mulungu Wammwambamwamba, amene amapulumutsa olungama mtima.
My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart.
11 Mulungu amaweruza molungama, Mulungu amene amaonetsa ukali wake tsiku ndi tsiku.
God is a righteous judge, Yea, a God that hath indignation every day.
12 Ngati munthu satembenuka, Mulungu adzanola lupanga lake, Iye adzawerama ndi kukoka uta.
If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; He hath bent his bow, and made it ready;
13 Mulungu wakonza zida zake zoopsa; Iye wakonzekera mivi yake yoyaka moto.
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He maketh his arrows fiery [shafts].
14 Taonani, munthu woyipa amalingalira zoyipa zokhazokha nthawi zonse. Zochita zake ndi zosokoneza ndi zovutitsa anthu ena.
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity; Yea, he hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
15 Iye amene akumba dzenje ndi kulizamitsa amagwera mʼdzenje limene wakumbalo.
He hath made a pit, and digged it, And is fallen into the ditch which he made.
16 Mavuto amene amayambitsa amamubwerera mwini; chiwawa chake chimatsikira pa mutu wake womwe.
His mischief shall return upon his own head, And his violence shall come down upon his own pate.
17 Ine ndidzayamika Yehova chifukwa cha chilungamo chake; ndipo ndidzayimba nyimbo zamatamando pa dzina la Yehova Wammwambamwamba.
I will give thanks unto Jehovah according to his righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of Jehovah Most High.
