Masalimo 59
1 Kwa mtsogoleri wa mayimbidwe. Potsata mayimbidwe a “Musawononge.” Ndakatulo ya Davide. Pamene Sauli anatumiza anthu kuti akalondere nyumba ya Davide ndi cholinga choti amuphe. Landitseni kwa adani anga, Inu Mulungu; munditeteze kwa anthu amene auka kutsutsana nane.
For the end. Destroy not: by David for a memorial, when Saul sent, and watched his house to kill him. Deliver me from mine enemies, O God; and ransom me from those that rise up against me.
2 Landitseni kwa anthu ochita zoyipa ndipo mundipulumutse kwa anthu okhetsa magazi.
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3 Onani momwe iwo akundibisalira! Anthu owopsa agwirizana zolimbana nane; osati chifukwa cha mlandu kapena tchimo langa, Inu Yehova.
For, behold, they have hunted after my soul; violent men have set upon me: neither [is it] my iniquity, nor my sin, O Lord.
4 Ine sindinachite cholakwa, koma iwo ndi okonzeka kundithira nkhondo. Dzukani kuti mundithandize; penyani mavuto anga!
Without iniquity I ran and directed [my course aright]: awake to help me, and behold.
5 Inu Yehova Mulungu Wamphamvuzonse, Mulungu wa Israeli, dzidzutseni nokha kuti mulange anthu a mitundu ina yonse; musaonetse chifundo chanu kwa anthu oyipa achinyengowa.
And you, Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, draw near to visit all the heathen; pity not any that work iniquity. (Pause)
6 Iwo amabweranso madzulo akuchita phokoso ngati agalu ndi kumangoyendayenda mu mzinda.
They shall return at evening, and hunger like a dog, and go round about the city.
7 Onani zomwe amalavula mʼkamwa mwawo; iwo amalavula malupanga kuchokera pa milomo yawo, ndipo amanena kuti, “Ndani angatimve?”
Behold, they shall utter a voice with their mouth, and a sword is in their lips; for who, [say they], has heard?
8 Koma Inu Yehova, mumawaseka, mumayinyoza mitundu yonseyo.
But you, Lord, will laugh them to scorn; you will utterly set at nothing all the heathen.
9 Inu mphamvu yanga, ine ndiyangʼana kwa inu; Inu Mulungu, ndinu linga langa.
will keep my strength, [looking] to you; for you, O God, are my helper.
10 Mulungu wanga wachikondi. Mulungu adzapita patsogolo panga ndipo adzandilola kunyada pa iwo amene amandinyoza.
[As for] my God, his mercy shall go before me: my God will show me [vengeance] on mine enemies.
11 Koma musawaphe, Inu Ambuye chishango chathu, kuopa kuti anthu anga angayiwale. Mwa mphamvu zanu, lolani kuti azingoyendayenda ndipo muwatsitse.
Slay them not, lest they forget your law; scatter them by your power; and bring them down, O Lord, my defender.
12 Chifukwa cha machimo a pakamwa pawo chifukwa cha mawu a milomo yawo, iwo akodwe mʼkunyada kwawo. Chifukwa cha matemberero ndi mabodza amene ayankhula
[For] the sin of their mouth, [and] the word of their lips, let them be even taken in their pride.
13 muwawononge mu ukali (wanu) muwawononge mpaka atheretu. Pamenepo zidzadziwika ku malekezero a dziko lapansi kuti Mulungu amalamulira Yakobo.
And for [their] cursing and falsehood shall utter destruction be denounced: [they shall fall] by the wrath of utter destruction, and shall not be; so shall they know that the God of Jacob is Lord of the ends of the earth. (Pause)
14 Iwo amabweranso madzulo, akuchita phokoso ngati agalu ndi kumangoyenda mu mzinda.
They shall return at evening, and be hungry as a dog, and go round about the city.
15 Iwo amayendayenda kufuna chakudya ndipo amawuwa ngati sanakhute.
They shall be scattered hither and there for meat; and if they be not satisfied, they shall even murmur.
16 Koma ine ndidzayimba za mphamvu yanu, mmawa ndidzayimba zachikondi chanu; pakuti ndinu linga langa, pothawirapo panga mʼnthawi ya mavuto.
But I will sing to your strength, and in the morning will I exult [in] your mercy; for you have been my supporter, and my refuge in the day of mine affliction.
17 Inu mphamvu yanga, ndiyimba matamando kwa inu; Inu Mulungu, ndinu linga langa, Mulungu wanga wachikondi.
[You are] my helper; to you, my God, will I sing; you are my supporter, O my God, [and] my mercy.
