Masalimo 37
1 Salimo la Davide. Usamavutike chifukwa cha anthu oyipa kapena kuchitira nsanje amene akuchita cholakwa;
[A Psalm] of David. Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, and be not envious of them that work unrighteousness;
2 pakuti monga udzu iwo adzafota msanga, ngati mbewu zobiriwira adzanyala msanga.
for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and fade as the green herb.
3 Khulupirira Yehova ndipo uzichita zabwino; khazikika mʼdziko ndi kutsata zokhulupirika.
Confide in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness;
4 Udzikondweretse wekha mwa Yehova ndipo Iye adzakupatsa zokhumba za mtima wako.
and delight thyself in Jehovah, and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
5 Pereka njira yako kwa Yehova; dalira Iye ndipo Iyeyo adzachita izi:
Commit thy way unto Jehovah, and rely upon him: he will bring [it] to pass;
6 Iye adzachititsa chilungamo chako kuwala ngati mʼbandakucha, chiweruzo chako ngati dzuwa la masana.
and he will bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Khala chete pamaso pa Yehova ndipo umudikire mofatsa; usavutike pamene anthu apambana mʼnjira zawo, pamene iwo achita zinthu zawo zoyipa.
Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him that prospereth in his way, because of the man that bringeth mischievous devices to pass.
8 Pewa kupsa mtima ndipo tembenuka kuchoka ku ukali, usavutike chifukwa zimenezi zimatsogolera ku zoyipa.
Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself: it [would be] only to do evil.
9 Pakuti anthu oyipa adzachotsedwa, koma iwo amene amayembekeza mwa Yehova adzalandira dziko.
For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait on Jehovah, they shall possess the land.
10 Kwa kanthawi oyipa sadzapezekanso; ngakhale muwafunefune, sadzapezekanso.
For yet a little while, and the wicked is not; and thou considerest his place, but he is not.
11 Koma ofatsa adzalandira dziko ndipo adzasangalala ndi mtendere waukulu.
But the meek shall possess the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of prosperity.
12 Oyipa amakonza chiwembu kutsutsana ndi olungama ndipo amawakukutira mano;
The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth his teeth against him.
13 koma Ambuye amaseka oyipa pakuti Iye amadziwa kuti tsiku lawo likubwera.
The Lord laugheth at him; for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 Oyipa amasolola lupanga ndi kupinda uta kugwetsa osauka ndi osowa, kupha iwo amene njira zawo ndi zolungama.
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the afflicted and needy, to slay those that are upright in [the] way:
15 Koma malupanga awo analasa mitima yawo yomwe, ndipo mauta awo anathyoka.
their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 Zabwino zochepa zimene olungama ali nazo ziposa chuma cha anthu oyipa ambiri;
The little that the righteous hath is better than the abundance of many wicked;
17 pakuti mphamvu ya oyipa idzasweka, koma Yehova amasunga olungama.
for the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Jehovah upholdeth the righteous.
18 Masiku a anthu osalakwa amadziwika ndi Yehova, ndipo cholowa chawo chidzakhala mpaka muyaya.
Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever:
19 Pa nthawi ya mavuto iwo sadzafota; mʼmasiku a njala adzakhala ndi zinthu zambiri.
they shall not be ashamed in the time of evil, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 Koma oyipa adzawonongeka; adani a Yehova adzakhala ngati kukongola kwa kuthengo, iwo adzazimirira ngati utsi.
For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume, like smoke shall they consume away.
21 Oyipa amabwereka ndipo sabweza koma olungama amapereka mowolowamanja.
The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; but the righteous is gracious and giveth:
22 Iwo amene Yehova amawadalitsa adzalandira dziko, koma amene Iye amawatemberera adzachotsedwa.
for those blessed of him shall possess the land, and they that are cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 Ngati Yehova akondwera ndi njira ya munthu, amakhazikitsa mayendedwe ake;
The steps of a man are established by Jehovah, and he delighteth in his way:
24 ngakhale atapunthwa sadzagwa, pakuti Yehova amamutchinjiriza ndi dzanja lake.
though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Jehovah upholdeth his hand.
25 Ine ndinali wamngʼono ndipo tsopano ndakalamba koma sindinaonepo olungama akusiyidwa kapena ana awo akupempha chakudya.
I have been young, and now am old, and I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread:
26 Iwo ndi owolowamanja nthawi zonse ndipo amabwereketsa mwaufulu; ana awo adzadalitsika.
all the day he is gracious and lendeth, and his seed shall be a blessing.
27 Tembenuka kuchoka ku zoyipa ndipo chita zabwino; pamenepo udzakhazikika mʼdziko kwamuyaya.
Depart from evil, and do good, and dwell for evermore;
28 Pakuti Yehova amakonda wolungama ndipo sadzasiya okhulupirika ake. Iwo adzatetezedwa kwamuyaya, koma zidzukulu za oyipa zidzachotsedwa;
for Jehovah loveth judgment, and will not forsake his saints: They are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 olungama adzalandira dziko ndipo adzakhazikikamo kwamuyaya.
The righteous shall possess the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30 Pakamwa pa munthu wolungama pamayankhula za nzeru, ndipo lilime lake limayankhula zolungama.
The mouth of the righteous proffereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh judgment;
31 Lamulo la Mulungu wake lili mu mtima mwake; mapazi ake saterereka.
the law of his God is in his heart; his goings shall not slide.
32 Oyipa amabisala kudikira olungama; kufunafuna miyoyo yawoyo;
The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him:
33 koma Yehova sadzawasiya pansi pa mphamvu yawo kapena kuti atsutsidwe pamene abweretsedwa pa milandu.
Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 Khulupirira Yehova, ndipo sunga njira yake; Iye adzakukweza ndipo udzalandira dziko kuti likhale lako; udzaona anthu oyipa akuwonongeka.
Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to possess the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].
35 Ine ndinaona munthu woyipa ndi munthu wopanda chifundo akupeza bwino ngati mtengo wobiriwira pa nthaka ya makolo ake.
I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading like a green tree in its native soil:
36 Koma sanachedwe kumwalira ndipo sanaonekenso; ngakhale ndinamuyangʼanayangʼana, sanapezekenso.
but he passed away, and behold, he was not; and I sought him, but he was not found.
37 Ganizira za munthu wosalakwa, yangʼanitsitsa munthu wolungama; udzaona kuti ali ndi tsogolo labwino ndipo ali ndi zidzukulu zambiri.
Mark the perfect, and behold the upright, for the end of [that] man is peace;
38 Koma anthu ochimwa adzawonongeka; iwowo pamodzi ndi zidzukulu zawo zomwe.
but the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 Chipulumutso cha olungama chimachokera kwa Yehova; Iye ndiye linga lawo pa nthawi ya masautso.
But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 Yehova amawathandiza ndi kuwalanditsa; Iye amawalanditsa kwa oyipa ndi kuwapulumutsa, pakuti amathawira kwa Iye.
And Jehovah will help them and deliver them: he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them; for they trust in him.
