< Masalimo 2 >
1 Nʼchifukwa chiyani anthu a mitundu ina akufuna kuchita chiwembu? Akonzekeranji zopanda pake anthu?
Wherefore have nations assembled in tumult? Or should, peoples, mutter an empty thing?
2 Mafumu a dziko lapansi akugwirizana nazo; ndipo olamulira asonkhana pamodzi kulimbana ndi Ambuye ndi wodzozedwa wakeyo.
The kings of earth take their station, and, grave men, have met by appointment together, —against Yahweh, and against his Anointed One [saying]:
3 Iwo akunena kuti, “Tiyeni timasule magoli awo ndipo titaye zingwe zawo.”
Let us break asunder their bonds, —and cast from us their cords!
4 Wokhala mmwamba akuseka; Ambuye akuwanyoza iwowo.
He that sitteth in the heavens, will laugh, —My Lord, will mock at them:
5 Ndipo iye awadzudzula mu mkwiyo wake ndi kuwaopseza mu ukali wake, kunena kuti,
Then, will he speak unto them in his anger, and, in his wrath, confound them:
6 “Ine ndakhazikitsa mfumu yanga pa Ziyoni, phiri langa loyera.”
Yet, I, have installed my king, —on Zion my holy mountain.
7 Ine ndidzalengeza zimene Yehova walamula: Iye anati kwa Ine, “Iwe ndiwe mwana wanga; lero Ine ndakhala Atate ako.
Let me tell of a decree, —Yahweh, hath said unto me, My son, thou art, I, to-day, have begotten thee:
8 Tandipempha, ndipo ndidzachititsa kuti mitundu ya anthu ikhale cholowa chako; malekezero a dziko lapansi kuti akhale chuma chako.
Ask of me, and let me give nations as thine inheritance, and, as thy possession, the ends of the earth:
9 Iweyo udzawalamulira ndi ndodo yaufumu yachitsulo; udzawaphwanya zidutswazidutswa ngati zowumba zadothi.”
Thou shalt shepherd them with a sceptre of iron, —as a potter’s vessel, shalt thou dash them in pieces.
10 Kotero, inu mafumu, chenjerani; chenjezedwani, inu olamulira a dziko lapansi.
Now, therefore, ye kings, show your prudence, Be admonished, ye judges of earth:
11 Tumikirani Yehova mwa mantha ndi kukondwerera ulamuliro wake monjenjemera.
Serve Yahweh with reverence, and exult with trembling:
12 Mpsopsoneni mwanayo kuti angakwiye; kuti mungawonongedwe mʼnjira zanu, pakuti ukali wake utha kuuka mʼkanthawi kochepa. Odala ndi onse amene amathawira kwa Iye.
Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish by the way, for soon might be kindled his anger, —How happy are all who seek refuge in him!
