1 Tamandani Yehova. Tamanda Yehova, iwe moyo wanga.

Praise ye Jah! Praise, O my soul, Jehovah.

2 Ndidzatamanda Yehova ndi moyo wanga wonse; ndidzayimba nyimbo zamatamando kwa Mulungu wanga nthawi yonse ya moyo wanga.

I praise Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist.

3 Musamadalire mafumu, anthu osakhalitsa, amene sangathe kupulumutsa.

Trust not in princes — in a son of man, For he hath no deliverance.

4 Pamene mizimu yawo yachoka, iwo amabwerera ku dothi; zimene ankafuna kuchita zimatha tsiku lomwelo.

His spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, In that day have his thoughts perished.

5 Wodala ndi amene thandizo lake ndi Mulungu wa Yakobo.

O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope [is] on Jehovah his God,

6 Wolenga kumwamba ndi dziko lapansi, nyanja ndi zonse zili mʼmenemo; Yehova, amene ndi wokhulupirika kwamuyaya.

Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that [is] in them, Who is keeping truth to the age,

7 Iye amachitira chilungamo anthu oponderezedwa ndipo amapereka chakudya kwa anthu anjala. Yehova amamasula amʼndende,

Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry.

8 Yehova amatsekula maso anthu osaona, Yehova amadzutsa onse amene awerama pansi, Yehova amakonda anthu olungama.

Jehovah is loosing the prisoners, Jehovah is opening (the eyes of) the blind, Jehovah is raising the bowed down, Jehovah is loving the righteous,

9 Yehova amasamalira alendo ndipo amathandiza ana ndi akazi amasiye, koma amasokoneza njira za anthu oyipa.

Jehovah is preserving the strangers, The fatherless and widow He causeth to stand, And the way of the wicked He turneth upside down.

10 Yehova ndiye Mfumu mpaka muyaya, Mulungu wako iwe Ziyoni, pa mibado yonse. Tamandani Yehova.

Jehovah doth reign to the age, Thy God, O Zion, to generation and generation, Praise ye Jah!
