1 Tamandani Yehova. Tamandani dzina la Yehova; mutamandeni, inu atumiki a Yehova,
Hallelujah. Praise ye the name of the Lord; praise him, O ye servants of the Lord;
2 amene mumatumikira mʼnyumba ya Yehova, mʼmabwalo a nyumba ya Mulungu wathu.
Ye that stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God.
3 Tamandani Yehova, pakuti Yehova ndi wabwino; imbani nyimbo zotamanda dzina lake, pakuti nʼkokoma kutero,
Hallelujah; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is lovely.
4 Pakuti Yehova wasankha Yakobo kuti akhale wake, Israeli kuti akhale chuma chake chapamtima.
For Jacob hath the Lord chosen unto himself, Israel, as his peculiar treasure.
5 Ndikudziwa kuti Yehova ndi wamkulu, kuti Ambuye athu ndi wamkulu kuposa milungu yonse.
For I well know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
6 Yehova amachita chilichonse chimene chimamukomera, kumwamba ndi dziko lapansi, ku nyanja zazikulu ndi ku malo ake onse akuya.
Whatsoever the Lord willeth, hath he done in the heavens, and on the earth, in the seas, and in all the deeps.
7 Iye amatulutsa mitambo kuchokera ku malekezero a dziko lapansi, amatumiza zingʼaningʼani pamodzi ndi mvula ndipo amatulutsa mphepo ku malo ake osungiramo.
He causeth clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with the rain; he bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.
8 Anakantha ana oyamba kubadwa a Igupto, ana oyamba kubadwa a anthu ndi nyama.
[He it is] who smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and of cattle;
9 Iye anatumiza zizindikiro zozizwitsa ndi zodabwitsa pakati pako, iwe Igupto, kutsutsana ndi Farao pamodzi ndi atumiki ake onse.
Who sent signs and wonderful tokens into the midst of thee, O Egypt, against Pharaoh, and against all his servants;
10 Iye anakantha mitundu yambiri ya anthu ndi kupha mafumu amphamvu:
Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings;
11 Sihoni mfumu ya Aamori, Ogi mfumu ya Basani, ndi maufumu onse a ku Kanaani;
Sichon the king of the Emorites, and 'Og the king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
12 ndipo anapereka dziko lawo ngati cholowa, cholowa cha anthu ake Aisraeli.
And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.
13 Dzina lanu, Inu Yehova, ndi losatha mpaka muyaya, mbiri yanu, Inu Yehova, idziwika mibado yonse.
O Lord, thy name [endureth] for ever: O Lord, thy memorial is throughout all generations.
14 Pakuti Yehova adzaonetsa kuti anthu ake ngosalakwa, ndipo adzachitira chifundo atumiki ake.
For the Lord will espouse the cause of his people, and concerning his servants will he bethink himself.
15 Mafano a mitundu ya anthu ndi siliva ndi golide, opangidwa ndi manja a anthu.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men.
16 Pakamwa ali napo koma sayankhula maso ali nawo, koma sapenya;
Mouths they have, but they speak not; eyes they have, but they see not;
17 makutu ali nawo, koma sakumva ndipo mʼkamwa mwawo mulibe mpweya uliwonse.
Ears they have, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.
18 Iwo amene amapanga mafanowo adzakhala ngati mafanowo, chimodzimodzinso iwo amene amadalira mafanowo.
Like them are those that make them, every one that trusteth in them.
19 Inu nyumba ya Israeli, tamandani Yehova; inu nyumba ya Aaroni, tamandani Yehova;
O house of Israel, bless ye the Lord; O house of Aaron, bless ye the Lord.
20 Inu nyumba ya Levi, tamandani Yehova; Inu amene mumaopa Iye, tamandani Yehova.
O house of Levi, bless ye the Lord; ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21 Wodalitsika ndi Yehova kuchokera mʼZiyoni, amene amakhala mu Yerusalemu. Tamandani Yehova.
Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, even he that resideth at Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
