1 Nyimbo yoyimba pokwera ku Yerusalemu. Salimo la Davide. Inu Yehova, mtima wanga siwodzikuza, maso anga siwonyada; sinditengeteka mtima ndi zinthu zapamwamba ndi zodabwitsa.

Lord, my heart is not exalted: nor are my eyes lofty. Neither have I walked in great matters, nor in wonderful things above me.

2 Koma moyo wanga ndawutontholetsa ndi kuwukhalitsa chete ngati mwana amene amayi ake amuletsa kuyamwa, moyo wanga mʼkati mwanga uli ngati mwana amene amuletsa kuyamwa.

If I was not humbly minded, but exalted my soul: As a child that is weaned is towards his mother, so reward in my soul.

3 Yembekeza Yehova, iwe Israeli, kuyambira tsopano mpaka muyaya.

Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth now and for ever.
