1 Tamandani Yehova. Mutamandeni, inu atumiki a Yehova, tamandani dzina la Yehova.

Alleluia. Praise the Lord, ye servants [of his], praise, the name of the Lord.

2 Yehova atamandidwe, kuyambira tsopano mpaka muyaya.

Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.

3 Kuyambira ku matulukiro a dzuwa mpaka ku malowero ake, dzina la Yehova liyenera kutamandidwa.

From the rising of the sun to his setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

4 Yehova wakwezeka pa anthu a mitundu yonse, ulemerero wake ndi woposa mayiko akumwamba.

The Lord is high above all the nations; his glory is above the heavens.

5 Ndani wofanana ndi Yehova Mulungu wathu, Iye amene amakhala mwaufumu mmwamba?

Who is as the Lord our God? who dwells in the high places,

6 amene amawerama pansi kuyangʼana miyamba ndi dziko lapansi?

and [yet] looks upon the low things in heaven, and on the earth:

7 Iye amakweza munthu wosauka kuchoka pa fumbi ndi kutukula munthu wosowa kuchoka pa dzala;

who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;

8 amawakhazika pamodzi ndi mafumu, pamodzi ndi mafumu a anthu ake.

to set him with princes, [even] with the princes of his people:

9 Amakhazikitsa mayi wosabereka mʼnyumba yake monga mayi wa ana wosangalala. Tamandani Yehova.

who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.
