Miyambo 3
1 Mwana wanga, usayiwale malangizo anga, mtima wako usunge malamulo anga.
My sonne, forget not thou my Lawe, but let thine heart keepe my commandements.
2 Ukatero zaka za moyo wako zidzachuluka ndipo udzakhala pa mtendere.
For they shall increase the length of thy dayes and the yeeres of life, and thy prosperitie.
3 Makhalidwe ochitira ena chifundo ndi owonetsa kukhulupirika asakuchokere. Uwamangirire mʼkhosi mwako ngati mkanda ndi kuwalemba pa mtima pako.
Let not mercie and trueth forsake thee: binde them on thy necke, and write them vpon the table of thine heart.
4 Ukatero udzapeza kuyanja ndi mbiri yabwino pamaso pa Mulungu ndi anthu.
So shalt thou finde fauour and good vnderstanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Uzikhulupirira Yehova ndi mtima wako wonse ndipo usadalire nzeru zako za kumvetsa zinthu.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome.
6 Pa zochita zako zonse uvomereze kuti Mulungu alipo, ndipo Iye adzawongola njira zako.
In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.
7 Usamadzione ngati wa nzeru. Uziopa Yehova ndi kupewa zoyipa.
Be not wise in thine owne eyes: but feare the Lord, and depart from euill.
8 Ukatero thupi lako lidzakhala la moyo wabwino ndi mafupa ako adzakhala olimba.
So health shalbe vnto thy nauel, and marowe vnto thy bones.
9 Uzilemekeza Yehova ndi chuma chako chonse; zokolola zonse zoyamba kucha uzilemekeza nazonso Yehova.
Honour the Lord with thy riches, and with the first fruites of all thine increase.
10 Ukatero nkhokwe zako zidzadzaza ndi zinthu zambiri, ndiponso mitsuko yako idzadzaza ndi vinyo.
So shall thy barnes be filled with abundance, and thy presses shall burst with newe wine.
11 Mwana wanga usanyoze malangizo a Yehova, ndipo usayipidwe ndi chidzudzulo chake.
My sonne, refuse not the chastening of the Lord, neither be grieued with his correction.
12 Paja Yehova amadzudzula amene amamukonda, monga abambo achitira mwana amene amakondwera naye.
For the Lord correcteth him, whome he loueth, euen as the father doeth the childe in whom he deliteth.
13 Wodala munthu amene wapeza nzeru, munthu amene walandira nzeru zomvetsa zinthu,
Blessed is the man that findeth wisedome, and the man that getteth vnderstanding.
14 pakuti phindu la nzeru ndi labwino kuposa la siliva, phindu lakelo ndi labwino kuposanso golide.
For the marchandise thereof is better then the marchandise of siluer, and the gaine thereof is better then golde.
15 Nzeru ndi yoposa miyala yamtengowapatali; ndipo zonse zimene umazikhumba sizingafanane ndi nzeru.
It is more precious then pearles: and all things that thou canst desire, are not to be compared vnto her.
16 Mʼdzanja lake lamanja muli moyo wautali; mʼdzanja lake lamanzere muli chuma ndi ulemu.
Length of dayes is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and glory.
17 Njira zake ndi njira zosangalatsa, ndipo mu njira zake zonse muli mtendere.
Her wayes are wayes of pleasure, and all her pathes prosperitie.
18 Nzeru ili ngati mtengo wopatsa moyo kwa oyigwiritsitsa; wodala munthu amene amayigwiritsa kwambiri.
She is a tree of life to them that lay holde on her, and blessed is he that retaineth her.
19 Yehova anakhazikitsa dziko lapansi pogwiritsa ntchito nzeru. Anagwiritsanso ntchito nzeru zakudziwa bwino zinthu pamene ankakhazikitsa zakumwamba.
The Lord by wisdome hath layde the foundation of the earth, and hath stablished the heauens through vnderstanding.
20 Mwa nzeru zake Yehova anatumphutsa madzi kuchokera mʼnthaka ndiponso mitambo inagwetsa mvula.
By his knowledge the depthes are broken vp, and the cloudes droppe downe the dewe.
21 Mwana wanga usunge nzeru yeniyeni ndi khalidwe lomalingarira zinthu bwino. Zimenezi zisakuchokere.
My sonne, let not these things depart from thine eyes, but obserue wisdome, and counsell.
22 Zimenezi zidzakupatsa moyo, moyo wake wosangalatsa ndi wabwino ngati mkanda wa mʼkhosi.
So they shalbe life to thy soule, and grace vnto thy necke.
23 Choncho udzayenda pa njira yako mosaopa kanthu, ndipo phazi lako silidzapunthwa;
Then shalt thou walke safely by thy way: and thy foote shall not stumble.
24 pamene ugona pansi, sudzachita mantha; ukadzagona pansi tulo tako tidzakhala tokoma.
If thou sleepest, thou shalt not bee afraide, and when thou sleepest, thy sleepe shalbe sweete.
25 Usaope tsoka lobwera mwadzidzidzi kapena chiwonongeko chimene chidzagwera anthu oyipa,
Thou shalt not feare for any sudden feare, neither for the destruction of the wicked, when it commeth.
26 pakuti Yehova adzakulimbitsa mtima ndipo adzasunga phazi lako kuti lisakodwe mu msampha.
For the Lord shall be for thine assurance, and shall preserue thy foote from taking.
27 Usaleke kuchitira zabwino amene ayenera kulandira zabwino, pamene uli nazo mphamvu zochitira zimenezi.
Withhold not the good from the owners thereof, though there be power in thine hand to doe it.
28 Usanene kwa mnansi wako kuti, “Pita, uchite kubweranso. Ndidzakupatsa mawa” pamene uli nazo tsopano.
Say not vnto thy neighbour, Go and come againe, and to morow wil I giue thee, if thou now haue it.
29 Usamukonzere chiwembu mnansi wako, amene anakhala nawe pafupi mokudalira.
Intend none hurt against thy neighbour, seeing he doeth dwell without feare by thee.
30 Usakangane ndi munthu wopanda chifukwa pamene iye sanakuchitire zoyipa.
Striue not with a man causelesse, when he hath done thee no harme.
31 Usachite naye nsanje munthu wachiwawa kapena kutsanzira khalidwe lake lililonse.
Bee not enuious for the wicked man, neither chuse any of his wayes.
32 Pakuti Yehova amanyansidwa ndi munthu woyipa koma amayanjana nawo anthu olungama.
For the frowarde is abomination vnto the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
33 Yehova amatemberera nyumba ya munthu woyipa, koma amadalitsa nyumba ya anthu olungama.
The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the righteous.
34 Anthu onyoza, Iye amawanyoza, koma amakomera mtima anthu odzichepetsa.
With the scornefull he scorneth, but hee giueth grace vnto the humble.
35 Anthu anzeru adzalandira ulemu, koma zitsiru adzazichititsa manyazi.
The wise shall inherite glorie: but fooles dishonour, though they be exalted.
