Numeri 34

1 Yehova anawuza Mose kuti,

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

2 “Lamula Aisraeli ndipo uwawuze kuti, ‘Pamene mulowa mʼdziko la Kanaani, dziko lomwe lidzaperekedwa kwa inu ngati cholowa chanu, lidzakhale ndi malire awa:

Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, when ye come into the land of Canaan, shall this be the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance: The land of Canaan according to its boundaries.

3 “‘Chigawo cha kummwera kwa dziko lanu chidzayambira ku chipululu cha Zini motsatana ndi malire a Edomu. Kummawa malire anu a kummwera adzayambira kummawa, kumathero a Nyanja ya Mchere.

And the southern side shall be unto you from the wilderness of Zin along by the boundary of Edom, and your southern border shall commence at the outmost edge of the Salt Sea on its east side.

4 Malirewo adzapita kummwera ndipo adzakwera phiri la Akirabimu mpaka ku Zini. Mathero ake adzakhala kummwera kwa Kadesi-Baranea. Ndipo adzapitenso ku Hazari Adari mpaka kukafika ku Azimoni,

And the border shall turn for you from the south of the ascent of 'Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin; and its terminating points shall be to the south of Kadesh-barnea', and shall go on to Chazar-addar, and pass on to Azmon;

5 kumene malirewo adzakhote kuchokera ku Azimoni mpaka ku khwawa la ku Igupto ndi kukathera ku Nyanja Yayikulu.

And the border shall turn from 'Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and its terminating points shall be at the sea.

6 “‘Malire anu a ku madzulo adzakhala ku gombe la Nyanja Yayikulu. Amenewo ndiwo adzakhale malire anu a ku madzulo.

And as the western border, shall ye have the Great Sea for a border: this shall be your western border.

7 “‘Malire anu a kumpoto, mzere wake uyambire ku Nyanja Yayikulu mpaka ku phiri la Hori

And this shall be unto you the northern border: from the Great Sea shall ye mark out for you [the boundary to] mount Hor;

8 ndi kuchokera ku phiri la Hori mpaka ku Lebo Hamati. Malirewa apite ku Zedadi,

From mount Hor shall ye mark out [the boundary] unto the entrance of Chamath; and the terminations of the border shall be toward Zedad;

9 ndi kupitirira mpaka ku Ziforoni ndi kukathera ku Hazari-Enani. Awa ndiwo adzakhale malire anu a kumpoto.

And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and its terminating points shall be at Chazar'-enan: this shall be unto you the northern border.

10 “‘Za malire anu a kummawa, mulembe mzere kuchokera ku Hazari-Enani mpaka kukafika ku Sefamu.

And ye shall turn yourselves to the eastern border, from Chazar-'enan to Shepham;

11 Malirewo adzatsikire ku Sefamu mpaka ku Ribila cha kummawa kwa Aini ndi kupitirira mpaka ku matsitso a cha kummawa kwa Nyanja ya Kinereti.

And the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, to the eastward of 'Ayin; and the boundary shall descend, and shall touch upon the coast of the sea of Kinnereth, eastward;

12 Tsono malirewo adzatsika motsatana ndi Yorodani ndi kukathera ku Nyanja ya Mchere. “‘Limeneli lidzakhala dziko lanu ndi malire ake mbali zonse.’”

And the border shall go down to the Jordan, and its terminating points shall be at the Salt Sea: this shall be your land after its boundaries round about.

13 Ndipo Mose analamula Aisraeli kuti, “Limeneli ndi dziko limene mudzalilandira pochita maere kuti likhale cholowa chanu. Yehova analamula kuti liperekedwe ku mafuko asanu ndi anayi ndi theka,

And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall divide among yourselves by lot, which the Lord hath commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe.

14 chifukwa mabanja a fuko la Rubeni, fuko la Gadi, ndi theka la fuko la Manase analandiriratu cholowa chawo.

For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their family divisions, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their family divisions, have received, —and the half of the tribe of Menasseh have received their inheritance;

15 Mafuko awiriwa pamodzi ndi theka la fuko la Manase analandiriratu cholowa chawo patsidya pa mtsinje wa Yorodani ku Yeriko cha kummawa kotulukira dzuwa.”

The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan opposite Jericho eastward, toward the rising of the sun.

16 Yehova anawuza Mose kuti,

And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,

17 “Awa ndi mayina a anthu amene adzakugawireni dzikoli kuti likhale cholowa chanu: wansembe Eliezara ndi Yoswa mwana wa Nuni.

These are the names of the men who shall parcel out unto you the land: Elazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

18 Musankhe mtsogoleri mmodzi kuchokera ku fuko lililonse kuti athandize kugawa dzikolo.

And one prince each from every tribe shall ye take to parcel out the land.

19 Mayina awo ndi awa: Kalebe mwana wa Yefune, wochokera ku fuko la Yuda,

And these are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Yephunneh:

20 Semueli mwana wa Amihudi, wochokera ku fuko la Simeoni;

And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of 'Ammihud;

21 Elidadi mwana wa Kisiloni, wochokera ku fuko la Benjamini;

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Kisslon;

22 Buki mwana wa Yogili, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Dani;

And of the tribe of the children of Dan the prince, Bukki the son of Yogli;

23 Hanieli mwana wa Efodi, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Manase, mwana wa Yosefe;

Of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Menasseh the prince, Channiel the son of Ephod;

24 Kemueli mwana wa Sifitani, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Efereimu, mwana wa Yosefe.

And of the tribe of the children of Ephraim the prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;

25 Elizafani mwana wa Parinaki, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Zebuloni;

And of the tribe of the children of Zebulun the prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;

26 Palitieli mwana wa Azani, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Isakara,

And of the tribe of the children of Issachar the prince, Paltiel the son of 'Azzan;

27 Ahihudi mwana wa Selomi, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Aseri;

And of the tribe of the children of Asher the prince, Achihud the son of Shelomi;

28 Pedaheli mwana wa Amihudi, mtsogoleri wochokera ku fuko la Nafutali.”

And of the tribe of the children of Naphtali the prince, Pedahel the son of 'Ammihud.

29 Awa ndiwo mayina a anthu amene Yehova analamula kuti agawe cholowa cha Aisraeli mʼdziko la Kanaani.

These are they whom the Lord hath commanded to divide out the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
