1 Malo otsatirawa ndi omwe Aisraeli anayima pa maulendo awo atatuluka mʼdziko la Igupto mʼmagulu awo motsogozedwa ndi Mose ndi Aaroni.
These are the lodging places of the sons of Israel, who departed from Egypt by their companies under the hand of Moses and Aaron,
2 Mose analemba malo amene anayambira maulendo awo molamulidwa ndi Yehova. Maulendo awo ndi malo omwe anayambira ndi awa:
which Moses wrote down according to the places of the encampments, which they changed upon the order of the Lord.
3 Aisraeli ananyamuka kuchokera ku Ramesesi pa tsiku la 15 la mwezi woyamba, itangotha Paska. Iwo anatuluka nayenda molimba mtima Aigupto onse akuona,
Thus the sons of Israel set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover, with an exalted hand, being seen by all the Egyptians.
4 pamene ankayika maliro a ana awo oyamba kubadwa, omwe Yehova anawakantha pakati pawo chifukwa Yehova anaweruza milungu yawo.
And these were burying their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down (for so, too, did he carry out retribution against their gods).
5 Aisraeli atachoka ku Ramesesi, anamanga misasa yawo ku Sukoti.
And they made camp at Soccoth.
6 Atachoka ku Sukoti anakamanga misasa yawo ku Etamu, mʼmbali mwa chipululu.
And from Soccoth they went to Etham, which is at the furthest limits of the wilderness.
7 Ndipo atachoka ku Etamu, anabwerera ku Pihahiroti, kummawa kwa Baala-Zefoni, ndipo anamanga misasa yawo pafupi ndi Migidoli.
Departing from there, they arrived opposite Pi-hahiroth, which looks out toward Baal-zephon, and they were encamped before Migdol.
8 Atachoka ku Pihahiroti anadutsa mʼkati mwa nyanja kupita ku chipululu ndipo atayenda masiku atatu mʼchipululu cha Etamu, anamanga misasa yawo ku Mara.
And setting out from Pi-hahiroth, they crossed through the middle of the Sea into the wilderness. And having walked for three days through the desert of Etham, they made camp at Marah.
9 Atachoka ku Mara anafika ku Elimu, kumene kunali akasupe a madzi khumi ndi awiri ndi mitengo ya migwalangwa 70 ndipo anamanga misasa yawo kumeneko.
And setting out from Marah, they arrived at Elim, where there were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees. And they set up camp there.
10 Atachoka ku Elimu anakamanga misasa yawo mʼmbali mwa Nyanja Yofiira.
But departing from there also, they fixed their tents above the Red Sea. And setting out from the Red Sea,
11 Atachoka ku Nyanja Yofiira anakamanga misasa yawo mʼchipululu cha Sini.
they were encamped in the desert of Sin.
12 Atachoka ku chipululu cha Sini anakamanga ku Dofika.
Departing from there, they went to Dophkah.
13 Atachoka ku Dofika anakamanga misasa yawo ku Alusi.
And setting out from Dophkah, they made camp at Alush.
14 Atachoka ku Alusi anakamanga misasa yawo ku Refidimu, kumene kunalibe madzi woti anthu ndi kumwa.
And departing from Alush, they fixed their tents at Rephidim, where the people lacked water to drink.
15 Atachoka ku Refidimu anakamanga ku chipululu cha Sinai
And setting out from Rephidim, they camped in the desert of Sinai.
16 Atachoka ku chipululu cha Sinai anakamanga misasa yawo ku Kiburoti-Hataava.
But departing also from the wilderness of the Sinai, they arrived at the Graves of Lust.
17 Atachoka ku Kiburoti-Hataava anakamanga misasa yawo ku Heziroti.
And setting out from the Graves of Lust, they were encamped at Hazeroth.
18 Atachoka ku Heziroti anakamanga ku Ritima.
And from Hazeroth, they went to Rithmah.
19 Atachoka ku Ritima anakamanga ku Rimoni-Perezi.
And setting out from Rithmah, they made camp at Rimmon-perez.
20 Atachoka ku Rimoni-Perezi anakamanga ku Libina.
And departing from there, they arrived at Libnah.
21 Atachoka ku Libina anakamanga ku Risa.
From Libnah, they made camp at Rissah.
22 Atachoka ku Risa anakamanga ku Kehelata.
And departing from Rissah, they went to Kehelathah.
23 Atachoka ku Kehelata anakamanga ku phiri la Seferi.
Setting out from there, they were encamped at mount Shepher.
24 Atachoka ku phiri la Seferi anakamanga ku Harada.
Departing from mount Shepher, they went to Haradah.
25 Atachoka ku Harada anakamanga ku Mekheloti.
Continuing on from there, they made camp at Makheloth.
26 Atachoka ku Mekheloti anakamanga ku Tahati.
And setting out from Makheloth, they went to Tahath.
27 Atachoka ku Tahati anakamanga ku Tera.
From Tahath, they made camp at Terah.
28 Atachoka ku Tera anakamanga ku Mitika.
Departing from there, they pitched their tents at Mithkah.
29 Atachoka ku Mitika anakamanga ku Hasimona.
And from Mithkah, they were encamped at Hashmonah.
30 Atachoka ku Hasimona anakamanga ku Moseroti.
And setting out from Hashmonah, they went to Moseroth.
31 Atachoka ku Moseroti anakamanga ku Beni Yaakani.
And from Moseroth, they made camp at Bene-jaakan.
32 Atachoka ku Beni Yaakani anakamanga ku Hori-Hagidigadi.
And setting out from Bene-jaakan, they went to mount Gidgad.
33 Atachoka ku Hori-Hagidigadi anakamanga ku Yotibata.
Setting out from there, they were encamped at Jotbathah.
34 Atachoka ku Yotibata anakamanga ku Abirona.
And from Jotbathah, they went to Abronah.
35 Atachoka ku Abirona anakamanga ku Ezioni-Geberi.
And departing from Abronah, they made camp at Eziongeber.
36 Atachoka ku Ezioni-Geberi anakamanga ku Kadesi, mʼchipululu cha Zini chimene ndi Kadesi.
Setting out from there, they went into the desert of Sin, which is Kadesh.
37 Anachoka ku Kadesi ndi kukamanga ku phiri la Hori, mʼmalire mwa dziko la Edomu.
And departing from Kadesh, they encamped at mount Hor, at the furthermost limits of the land of Edom.
38 Molamulidwa ndi Yehova, wansembe Aaroni anakwera ku phiri la Hori kumene anakamwalirira pa tsiku loyamba la mwezi wachisanu, mʼchaka cha makumi anayi, Aisraeli atatuluka mʼdziko la Igupto.
And Aaron the priest ascended onto mount Hor, by the order of the Lord. And there he died, in the fortieth year of the departure of the sons of Israel from Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month,
39 Aaroni anamwalira pa phiri la Hori ali ndi zaka 123.
when he was one hundred twenty-three years old.
40 Mfumu ya Akanaani ya ku Aradi yomwe inkakhala ku Negevi kummwera kwa Kanaani, inamva kuti Aisraeli akubwera.
And king Arad the Canaanite, who lived toward the south, heard that the sons of Israel had arrived in the land of Canaan.
41 Atachoka ku phiri la Hori anakamanga ku Zalimoni.
And setting out from mount Hor, they made camp at Zalmonah.
42 Atachoka ku Zalimoni anakamanga ku Punoni.
Departing from there, they went to Punon.
43 Atachoka ku Punoni anakamanga ku Oboti.
And setting out from Punon, they were encamped at Oboth.
44 Atachoka ku Oboti anakamanga ku Iye-Abarimu.
And from Oboth, they went to Iye-abarim, which is at the borders of the Moabites.
45 Atachoka ku Iye-Abarimu anakamanga ku Diboni Gadi.
And setting out from Iye-abarim, they fixed their tents at Dibon-gad.
46 Atachoka ku Diboni Gadi anakamanga ku Alimoni-Dibulataimu.
Departing from there, they made camp at Almon-diblathaim.
47 Atachoka ku Alimoni-Dibulataimu anakamanga mʼmapiri a Abarimu, pafupi ndi Nebo.
And departing from Almon-diblathaim, they went to the mountains of Abarim, opposite Nebo.
48 Atachoka ku mapiri a Abarimu anakamanga ku zigwa za Mowabu mʼmbali mwa Yorodani moyangʼanana ndi Yeriko.
And setting out from the mountains of Abarim, they crossed over to the plains of Moab, above the Jordan, opposite Jericho.
49 Ali ku zigwa za Mowabu anamanga mʼmbali mwa Yorodani kuchokera ku Beti-Yesimoti mpaka ku Abeli-Sitimu.
And they made camp there, from Beth-jeshimoth all the way to Abel-shittim, in the level places of the Moabites,
50 Pa zigwa za Mowabu, mʼmbali mwa Yorodani moyangʼanana ndi ku Yeriko, Yehova anawuza Mose kuti,
where the Lord said to Moses:
51 “Nena kwa Aisraeli kuti, ‘Pamene muwoloka Yorodani kulowa mʼdziko la Kanaani,
“Instruct the sons of Israel, and say to them: When you will have crossed over the Jordan, entering into the land of Canaan,
52 mukathamangitse nzika zonse za mʼdzikomo pamaso panu. Mukawononge mafano awo onse a miyala ndi osula ndi malo awo achipembedzo.
destroy all the inhabitants of that land. Break their monuments, and shatter their statues, and lay waste to every exalted thing,
53 Mukalande dzikolo ndi kukhalamo chifukwa ndakupatsani dziko limenelo kuti mukhalemo.
cleansing the land and living in it. For I have given it you as a possession,
54 Mukagawane dzikolo pochita maere monga mwa mafuko anu. Kwa omwe ali ambiri, cholowa chambiri, ndipo amene ali ocheperapo, chocheperanso. Chilichonse chimene chidzawagwere iwo mwa maere chidzakhala chawo. Mukaligawane monga mwa mafuko a makolo anu.
which you shall divide among you by lot. To the greater number you shall give more, and to the lesser number, less. To each one, just as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be distributed. The possession shall be divided by the tribes and families.
55 “‘Koma ngati simukathamangitsa nzika zimene zili mʼdzikomo, amene mukawalole kukhalamo adzakhala ngati zisonga mʼmaso mwanu ndi ngati minga mʼmbali mwanu. Adzakubweretserani mavuto mʼdziko limene mudzakhalemolo.
But if you are not willing to put to death the inhabitants of the land, those who remain shall be to you like spikes in your eyes and lances in your sides, and they shall be adversaries to you in the land of your habitation.
56 Ndipo pamenepo ndidzachitira inu zomwe ndinaganiza kuwachitira iwowo.’”
And whatever I had decided to do to them, I will do to you.”
