< Numeri 11 >
The people were complaining in the ears of Adonai. When Adonai sh'ma ·heard obeyed· it, his anger burned; and Adonai’s fire burned among them, and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.
2 Anthuwo analira kwa Mose ndipo Moseyo atapemphera kwa Yehova, motowo unazima.
The people cried to Moses [Drawn out]; and Moses [Drawn out] prayed to Adonai, and the fire abated.
3 Motero malowo anawatcha Tabera, chifukwa moto wa Yehova unayaka pakati pawo.
The name of that place was called Taberah, because Adonai’s fire burned among them.
4 Anthu ena osokoneza amene anali pakati pa Aisraeli anayamba kukhumba chakudya cha ku Igupto ndipo Aisraeli nawonso anayamba kufuwula kwambiri nʼkumati, “Tikanangopeza nyama yoti nʼkudya!
The mixed multitude that was among them lusted exceedingly: and the children of Israel [God prevails] also wept again, and said, “Who will give us meat to eat?
5 Tikukumbukira nsomba zaulere zimene tinkadya ku Igupto komanso nkhaka, mavwende, anyezi wamitundumitundu ndi adyo.
We remember the fish, which we ate in Egypt [Abode of slavery] for nothing; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic;
6 Koma tsopano chilakolako chathu chatha. Sitikuona kanthu kena kakudya koma mana basi!”
but now we have lost our appetite. There is nothing at all except this manna ·what is it· to look at.”
7 Mana ankafanana ndi mbewu zamapira ndipo maonekedwe ake anali ngati ulimbo wowuma.
The manna ·what is it· was like coriander seed, and its appearance like the appearance of bdellium.
8 Anthu ankapita kukatola manawo, nʼkumasinja mu mtondo kapena kupera. Ankawaphika mu mʼphika kapena kupanga makeke. Ndipo ankakoma ngati makeke ophikira mafuta a olivi.
The people went around, gathered it, and ground it in mills, or beat it in mortars, and boiled it in pots, and made cakes of it. Its taste was like the taste of fresh oil.
9 Mame akamagwa pa msasawo usiku ankagwera kumodzi ndi manawo.
When the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna ·what is it· fell on it.
10 Mose anamva anthu a banja lililonse akufuwula, banja lililonse pa khomo la tenti yake. Yehova anakwiya kwambiri ndipo Mose anavutikanso mu mtima.
Moses [Drawn out] sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the people weeping throughout their families, every man at the door of his tent; and Adonai’s anger burned greatly; and Moses [Drawn out] was displeased.
11 Mose anafunsa Yehova kuti, “Chifukwa chiyani mwabweretsa mavuto otere pa mtumiki wanune? Nʼchiyani chimene ndachita choti sichinakusangalatseni mpaka kundisenzetsa katundu wa anthu onsewa?
Moses [Drawn out] said to Adonai, “Why have you treated with your servant so badly? Why haven’t I found chen ·grace· in your sight, that you lay the burden of all this people on me?
12 Kodi Ndine amene ndinatenga pathupi pa anthu onsewa? Kodi ndinawabala ndine? Bwanji mukundiwuza kuti ndiwanyamule mʼmanja mwanga, monga momwe mlezi amanyamulira kamwana, kupita nawo ku malo omwe munalonjeza ndi lumbiro kwa makolo awo?
Have I conceived all this people? Have I brought them out, that you should tell me, ‘Carry them in your bosom, as a nurse carries a nursing infant, to the land which you swore to their fathers?’
13 Ndingayipeze kuti nyama yoti anthu onsewa adye? Iwowa akulirira ine kuti, ‘Tipatse nyama tidye!’
Where could I get meat to give to all this people? For they weep to me, saying, ‘Give us meat, that we may eat.’
14 Sindingathe kusamala anthu onsewa ndekha. Katundu ameneyu ndi wolemera kwambiri kwa ine.
I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.
15 Ngati umu ndi mmene muzichitira nane, chonde ingondiphani pompano. Koma ngati mwandikomera mtima ndiye ndisaonenso mavutowa.”
If you treat me this way, please kill me right now, if I have found chen ·grace· in your sight; and don’t let me see my wretchedness.”
16 Yehova anawuza Mose kuti, “Undibweretsere anthu 70 ochokera pakati pa akuluakulu a Aisraeli, amene umawadziwa kuti ndiwo atsogoleri komanso akuluakulu a mabanja. Abwere ku tenti ya msonkhano kuti ayime kumeneko pamodzi ndi iwe.
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel [God prevails], whom you know to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them to the Tent of Meeting, that they may stand there with you.
17 Ndidzatsika ndi kuyankhula nawe kumeneko, ndipo ndidzatenga mzimu umene uli pa iwe ndi kuyika pa iwowo. Adzakuthandiza kusenza nkhawa za anthuwa ndipo sudzasenzanso wekha.”
I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the breath mind Spirit which is on you, and will put it on them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you not bear it yourself alone.
18 “Uwawuze anthuwo kuti, ‘Mudziyeretse, kukonzekera mawa, pamene mudzadya nyama.’ Yehova anakumvani pamene munkalira kuti, ‘Zikanakhala bwino tikanapeza nyama yoti tidye! Tinkakhala bwino ku Igupto!’ Tsopano Yehova adzakupatsani nyama ndipo mudzayidyadi.
“Say to the people, ‘Sanctify yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, and you will eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of Adonai, saying, “Who will give us meat to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt [Abode of slavery].” Therefore Adonai will give you meat, and you will eat.
19 Simudzadya tsiku limodzi lokha, kapena masiku awiri, kapena asanu, khumi kapena masiku makumi awiri,
You will not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days,
20 koma mwezi wonse, mpaka itakukolani ndi kutopa nayo chifukwa mwakana Yehova yemwe ali pakati panu ndipo mwalira pamaso pake kuti, ‘Bwanji tinachoka ku Igupto?’”
but a whole month, until it comes out at your nostrils, and it is loathsome to you; because you have rejected Adonai who is among you, and have wept before him, saying, “Why did we come out of Egypt [Abode of slavery]?”’”
21 Koma Mose anati, “Taonani pano ndili pakati pa anthu 600,000 amene ndi kuyenda nawo ndipo Inuyo mukuti, ‘Ndidzawapatsa nyama kuti adye mwezi wathunthu!’
Moses [Drawn out] said, “The people, among whom I am, are six hundred thousand men on foot; and you have said, ‘I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month.’
22 Kodi ngakhale titapha nkhosa ndi ngʼombe, zingawakwanire? Ngakhale titagwira nsomba zonse za mʼnyanja, kodi zingawakwanire iwowa?”
Shall flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to be sufficient for them? Shall all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be sufficient for them?”
23 Yehova anayankha Mose kuti, “Kodi dzanja langa ndi lalifupi? Uwona tsopano ngati zimene ndanenazo zichitike kapena ayi.”
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Has Adonai’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not.”
24 Choncho Mose anatuluka nakawuza anthu zomwe Yehova ananena. Anasonkhanitsa pamodzi akuluakulu makumi asanu ndi awiri aja ndi kuwayimiritsa mozungulira Chihema.
Moses [Drawn out] went out, and told the people Adonai’s words; and he gathered seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them around the Tent.
25 Ndipo Yehova anatsika mʼmitambo ndi kuyankhula naye ndipo anatengako mzimu womwe unali pa Mose ndi kuwuyika pa akuluakulu makumi asanu ndi awiri aja. Pamene mzimuwo unakhazikika pa akuluakuluwo, anayamba kunenera koma sanapitirize.
Adonai came down in the cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the Spirit that was on him, and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but they did so no more.
26 Koma anthu ena awiri omwe mayina awo anali Elidadi ndi Medadi, anatsalira mu msasa. Anali nawo mʼgulu la olembedwa aja, koma sanapite nawo ku Chihema. Komabe mzimu unakhala pa iwo ndipo ananenera ali mu msasa.
But two men remained in the camp. The name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the breath mind Spirit rested on them; and they were of those who were written, but had not gone out to the Tent; and they prophesied in the camp.
27 Mnyamata wina anathamanga kudzawuza Mose kuti, “Elidadi ndi Medadi akunenera mu msasa.”
A young man ran, and told Moses [Drawn out], and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!”
28 Yoswa mwana wa Nuni, mtumiki wa Mose kuyambira ubwana wake, anayankha kuti, “Mbuye wanga Mose, aletseni!”
Joshua [Yah Salvation] the son of Nun, the servant of Moses [Drawn out], one of his chosen men, answered, “My lord Moses [Drawn out], forbid them!”
29 Koma Mose anati, “Kodi ukuchita nsanje chifukwa cha ine? Ndikanakonda kuti anthu onse a Yehova akhale aneneri ndi kuti Yehova ayike mzimu wake pa iwo!”
Moses [Drawn out] said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all Adonai’s people were prophets, that Adonai would put his breath mind Spirit on them!”
30 Mose ndi akuluakulu a Israeli aja anabwerera ku msasa.
Moses [Drawn out] went into the camp, he and the elders of Israel [God prevails].
31 Pamenepo Yehova anawutsa mphepo yochokera ku nyanja imene inabweretsa zinziri. Zinzirizo zinagwera pansi kuzungulira msasa, mtunda wa kilomita imodzi mbali zonse ndipo msinkhu wake unali mita imodzi.
A wind from Adonai went out and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, about a day’s journey [approximately 20 mi; 32.19 km] on this side, and a day’s journey [approximately 20 mi; 32.19 km]on the other side, around the camp, and about two cubits [36 in; 91.44 cm] above the surface of the earth.
32 Tsiku limenelo masana onse mpaka usiku ndiponso tsiku lotsatiralo, anthu anatuluka kunja kukatola zinziri. Palibe amene anasonkhanitsa zochepera makilogalamu 1,000 ndipo anaziyanika kuzungulira msasa wonse.
The people rose up all that day, and all of that night, and all the next day, and gathered the quails. He who gathered least gathered ten homers; and they spread them all out for themselves around the camp.
33 Koma pamene anthuwo ankadya nyamayo, asanayimeze nʼkomwe, ukali wa Yehova unafika pa iwo ndipo Iye anawakantha ndi mliri woopsa.
While the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, Adonai’s anger burned against the people, and Adonai struck the people with a very great plague.
34 Nʼchifukwa chake malowo anawatcha Kibiroti Hatava chifukwa pamenepo anakwirirapo anthu osusuka aja.
The name of that place was called Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who lusted.
35 Kuchoka pa Kibiroti Hatava anthuwo anayenda kupita ku Heziroti ndipo anakhala kumeneko kwa kanthawi.
From Kibroth Hattaavah the people traveled to Hazeroth; and they stayed at Hazeroth.
