Mateyu 26
1 Yesu atamaliza kuyankhula zonsezi, anati kwa ophunzira ake,
And it came to passe, when Iesus had finished all these sayings, he saide vnto his disciples,
2 “Monga mukudziwa, kwatsala masiku awiri kuti Paska ifike ndipo Mwana wa Munthu adzaperekedwa kuti apachikidwe.”
Ye know that after two dayes is ye Passeouer, and the Sonne of man shalbe deliuered to be crucified.
3 Pamenepo akulu a ansembe ndi akuluakulu anasonkhana ku nyumba ya mkulu wa ansembe dzina lake Kayafa,
Then assembled together the chiefe Priests, and the Scribes, and the Elders of ye people into the hall of the high Priest called Caiaphas:
4 ndipo anapangana kuti amugwire Yesu mobisa ndi kumupha.
And consulted together that they might take Iesus by subtiltie, and kill him.
5 Ndipo anati, “Osati nthawi yaphwando chifukwa pangabuke chipolowe pakati pa anthu.”
But they sayd, Not on the feast day, least any vprore be among the people.
6 Yesu ali ku Betaniya mʼnyumba Simoni Wakhate,
And when Iesus was in Bethania, in the house of Simon the leper,
7 mayi wina anabwera kwa Iye ndi botolo la mafuta onunkhira a mtengowapatali, amene anathira pa mutu pake Iye akudya pa tebulo.
There came vnto him a woman, which had a boxe of very costly oyntment, and powred it on his head, as he sate at the table.
8 Ophunzira ataona izi anayipidwa nafunsa kuti, “Chifukwa chiyani akuwononga chotere?
And when his disciples sawe it, they had indignation, saying, What needed this waste?
9 Mafuta amenewa akanatha kugulitsidwa pa mtengo waukulu, ndipo ndalama zake zikanaperekedwa kwa osauka.”
For this oyntment might haue bene solde for much, and bene giuen to the poore.
10 Yesu podziwa izi anawawuza kuti, “Chifukwa chiyani mukumuvutitsa mayiyu? Wandichitira Ine chinthu chabwino.
And Iesus knowing it, sayde vnto them, Why trouble yee the woman? for shee hath wrought a good woorke vpon me.
11 Osauka mudzakhala nawo nthawi zonse, koma simudzakhala ndi Ine nthawi zonse.
For yee haue the poore alwayes with you, but me shall yee not haue alwaies.
12 Pamene wathira mafuta onunkhirawa pa thupi langa, wachita izi kukonzekera kuyikidwa kwanga mʼmanda.
For in that shee powred this oyntment on my bodie, shee did it to burie me.
13 Zoonadi, ndikuwuzani kuti kulikonse kumene Uthenga Wabwinowu udzalalikidwa ku dziko lonse lapansi, zimene wachitazi zidzanenedwanso pomukumbukira.”
Verely I say vnto you, wheresoeuer this Gospel shall bee preached throughout all the worlde, there shall also this that shee hath done, be spoken of for a memoriall of her.
14 Pamenepo mmodzi wa khumi ndi awiriwo wotchedwa Yudasi Isikarioti anapita kwa akulu a ansembe
Then one of the twelue, called Iudas Iscariot, went vnto the chiefe Priestes,
15 nafunsa kuti, “Kodi mundipatsa chiyani ngati nditamupereka Iye kwa inu?” Pamenepo anamuwerengera ndalama zokwanira masiliva makumi atatu.
And said, What will ye giue me, and I will deliuer him vnto you? and they appoynted vnto him thirtie pieces of siluer.
16 Kuyambira pamenepo Yudasi anafunafuna nthawi yabwino yoti amupereke Yesu.
And from that time, he sought opportunitie to betraie him.
17 Pa tsiku loyamba laphwando la buledi wopanda yisiti, ophunzira anabwera kwa Yesu ndi kumufunsa kuti, “Kodi mukufuna tikakonze kuti malo odyera Paska?”
Nowe on the first day of the feast of vnleauened bread the disciples came to Iesus, saying vnto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eate the Passeouer?
18 Iye anayankha kuti, “Pitani mu mzinda kwa munthu wakutiwakuti ndipo kamuwuzeni kuti, ‘Aphunzitsi akuti, nthawi yanga yoyikidwa yayandikira. Ine ndidzadya phwando la Paska ndi ophunzira anga ku nyumba kwako.’”
And he said, Goe yee into the citie to such a man, and say to him, The master saieth, My time is at hande: I will keepe the Passeouer at thine house with my disciples.
19 Pamenepo ophunzira ake anachita monga momwe Yesu anawawuzira ndipo anakonza Paska.
And the disciples did as Iesus had giuen them charge, and made readie the Passeouer.
20 Kutada, Yesu ndi ophunzira ake khumi ndi awiriwo anakhala pa tebulo nʼkumadya.
So when the Euen was come, hee sate downe with the twelue.
21 Akudya, Iye anati, “Zoonadi, ndikuwuzani kuti mmodzi wa inu adzandipereka.”
And as they did eate, he sayde, Verely I say vnto you, that one of you shall betraie me.
22 Iwo anamva chisoni kwambiri ndipo anayamba kuyankhulana naye mmodzimmodzi nati, “Kodi nʼkukhala ine Ambuye?”
And they were exceeding sorowfull, and began euery one of them to say vnto him, Is it I, Master?
23 Yesu anayankha nati, “Iye amene akusunsa mʼmbale pamodzi ndi Ine, yemweyo adzandipereka.
And hee answered and sayde, Hee that dippeth his hande with me in the dish, hee shall betraie me.
24 Mwana wa Munthu adzaphedwa monga mmene kunalembedwera za Iye. Koma tsoka kwa munthu amene apereka Mwana wa Munthu! Kukanakhala bwino kwa iye akanapanda kubadwa.”
Surely the Sonne of man goeth his way, as it is written of him: but woe be to that man, by whom the Sonne of man is betrayed: it had bene good for that man, if hee had neuer bene borne.
25 Ndipo Yudasi amene anamupereka Iye anati, “Monga nʼkukhala ine Aphunzitsi?” Yesu anayankha nati, “Iwe watero.”
Then Iudas which betraied him, answered and sayde, Is it I, Master? He sayde vnto him, Thou hast sayd it.
26 Pamene ankadya, Yesu anatenga buledi, nayamika ndipo anamunyema nagawira ophunzira ake nanena kuti, “Tengani, idyani; ili ndi thupi langa.”
And as they did eate, Iesus tooke the bread, and when he had blessed, he brake it, and gaue it to the disciples, and sayd, Take, eate: this is my bodie.
27 Kenaka anatenga chikho, nayamika nachipereka kwa iwo nati, “Imwani nonsenu.
Also he tooke the cuppe, and when he had giuen thankes, he gaue it them, saying, Drinke ye all of it.
28 Awa ndi magazi anga a pangano amene akhetsedwa chifukwa cha ambiri kuti akhululukidwe machimo.
For this is my blood of the Newe Testament, that is shedde for many, for the remission of sinnes.
29 Ndikuwuzani kuti sindidzamwanso kuchokera ku chipatso cha mtengo wa mpesa kuyambira lero mpaka tsiku ilo pamene ndidzamwenso mwatsopano ndi inu mu ufumu wa Atate anga.”
I say vnto you, that I will not drinke henceforth of this fruit of the vine vntil that day, when I shall drinke it new with you in my Fathers kingdome.
30 Atayimba nyimbo, anatuluka kupita ku phiri la Olivi.
And when they had sung a Psalme, they went out into the mount of Oliues.
31 Pamenepo Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Usiku omwe uno inu nonse mudzandithawa, pakuti kwalembedwa: “‘Kantha mʼbusa, ndipo nkhosa zidzabalalika.’
Then saide Iesus vnto them, All yee shall be offended by me this night: for it is written, I wil smite the shepheard, and the sheepe of the flocke shalbe scattered.
32 Koma ndikadzauka, ndidzatsogola kupita ku Galileya.”
But after I am risen againe, I will go before you into Galile.
33 Petro anayankha nati, “Ngakhale onsewa atakuthawani, ine ndekha ayi.”
But Peter aunswered, and sayde vnto him, Though that al men should be offended by thee, yet will I neuer be offended.
34 Yesu anayankha nati, “Zoonadi, ndikukuwuza kuti usiku omwe uno, asanalire tambala, udzandikana Ine katatu.”
Iesus sayde vnto him, Verely I say vnto thee, that this night, before the cocke crow, thou shalt denie me thrise.
35 Koma Petro ananenetsa nati, “Ngakhale kutakhala kufa nanu pamodzi, sindidzakukanani.” Ndipo ophunzira onse ananena chimodzimodzi.
Peter saide vnto him, Though I should die with thee, I will in no case denie thee. Likewise also sayd all the disciples.
36 Kenaka Yesu anapita ku malo otchedwa Getsemani, ndipo anawawuza kuti, “Khalani pano pamene Ine ndikukapemphera apo.”
Then went Iesus with them into a place which is called Gethsemane, and said vnto his disciples, Sit ye here, while I goe, and pray yonder.
37 Anatenga Petro ndi ana awiri a Zebedayo, ndipo anayamba kumva chisoni ndi kuvutika mu mtima.
And hee tooke vnto him Peter, and the two sonnes of Zebedeus, and began to waxe sorowfull, and grieuously troubled.
38 Pamenepo anawawuza kuti, “Moyo wanga uli ndi chisoni chofa nacho. Khalani pano ndipo dikirani pamodzi ndi Ine.”
Then sayde Iesus vnto them, My soule is very heauie, euen vnto the death: tarie yee here, and watch with me.
39 Atapita patsogolo pangʼono, anagwa pansi chafufumimba napemphera kuti, “Atate anga, ngati ndikotheka, chikho ichi chichotsedwe kwa Ine. Koma osati monga mmene ndifunira, koma monga mufunira Inu.”
So hee went a litle further, and fell on his face, and praied, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup passe from me: neuerthelesse, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
40 Kenaka anabwera kwa ophunzira ake nawapeza ali mtulo. Iye anafunsa Petro kuti, “Kodi anthu inu, simukanakhala maso pamodzi ndi Ine kwa ora limodzi lokha?
After, hee came vnto the disciples, and founde them a sleepe, and sayde to Peter, What? coulde yee not watch with me one houre?
41 Khalani maso ndi kupemphera kuti musagwe mʼmayesero. Mzimu ukufuna koma thupi ndi lofowoka.”
Watch, and praie, that yee enter not into tentation: the spirit in deede is readie, but the flesh is weake.
42 Anachokanso nakapemphera kachiwiri kuti, “Atate anga, ngati chikhochi sichingandichoke, mpaka nditamwa, kufuna kwanu kuchitike.”
Againe he went away the second time, and praied, saying, O my Father, if this cuppe can not passe away from mee, but that I must drinke it, thy will be done.
43 Atabweranso anawapeza ali mtulo chifukwa zikope zawo zinalemedwa ndi tulo.
And he came, and founde them a sleepe againe, for their eyes were heauie.
44 Choncho anawasiya napitanso kukapemphera kachitatu nanenanso chimodzimodzi.
So he left them and went away againe, and praied the third time, saying the same woordes.
45 Kenaka anabwera kwa ophunzira ake nati kwa iwo, “Kodi mukanagonabe ndi kupumula? Taonani, ora layandikira ndipo Mwana wa Munthu akuperekedwa mʼmanja mwa ochimwa.
Then came he to his disciples, and said vnto them, Sleepe henceforth, and take your rest: behold, the houre is at hand, and the Sonne of man is giuen into the hands of sinners.
46 Imirirani, tiyeni tizipita! Wondipereka Ine wafika!”
Rise, let vs goe: beholde, hee is at hande that betraieth me.
47 Akuyankhula choncho, Yudasi mmodzi mwa khumi ndi awiriwo anafika. Pamodzi ndi iye panali gulu lalikulu la anthu ali ndi mikondo ndi zibonga otumidwa ndi akulu a ansembe ndi akuluakulu.
And while hee yet spake, loe Iudas, one of the twelue, came, and with him a great multitude with swordes and staues, from the high Priests and Elders of the people.
48 Womuperekayo anawawuziratu chizindikiro anthuwo kuti, “Amene ndidzapsompsona ndi iyeyo; mugwireni.”
Now he that betraied him, had giuen them a token, saying, Whomesoeuer I shall kisse, that is he, laie holde on him.
49 Pamenepo Yudasi anapita kwa Yesu nati, “Moni, Aphunzitsi!” Ndipo anapsompsona Iye.
And forthwith he came to Iesus, and sayd, God saue thee, Master, and kissed him.
50 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Bwenzi langa, chita chimene wabwerera.” Pamenepo anthuwo anabwera patsogolo namugwira Yesu ndi kumumanga.
Then Iesus sayde vnto him, Friende, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laide hands on Iesus, and tooke him.
51 Pa chifukwa ichi, mmodzi wa anzake a Yesu anagwira lupanga lake, nalisolola ndi kutema wantchito wa mkulu wa ansembe, nadula khutu lake.
And behold, one of them which were with Iesus, stretched out his hand, and drewe his sworde, and strooke a seruaunt of the high Priest, and smote off his eare.
52 Yesu anati kwa iye, “Bwezera lupanga lako mʼchimake, chifukwa onse amene amapha ndi lupanga adzafa ndi lupanga.
Then sayde Iesus vnto him, Put vp thy sworde into his place: for all that take the sworde, shall perish with the sworde.
53 Kodi mukuganiza kuti sindingathe kupempha Atate anga ndipo nthawi yomweyo nʼkundipatsa magulu a angelo oposa khumi ndi awiri?
Either thinkest thou, that I can not now pray to my Father, and he will giue me moe then twelue legions of Angels?
54 Koma nanga malemba akwaniritsidwa bwanji amene akuti ziyenera kuchitika motere?”
Howe then shoulde the Scriptures bee fulfilled, which say, that it must be so?
55 Pa nthawi yomweyo Yesu anati kwa gululo, “Kodi ndine mtsogoleri wa anthu owukira kuti mwabwera ndi malupanga ndi zibonga kudzandigwira? Tsiku ndi tsiku ndimakhala mʼNyumba ya Mulungu kuphunzitsa, koma simunandigwire.
The same houre sayde Iesus to the multitude, Ye be come out as it were against a thiefe, with swordes and staues to take mee: I sate daily teaching in the Temple among you, and yee tooke me not.
56 Koma zonsezi zachitika kuti zolembedwa ndi aneneri zikwaniritsidwe.” Pamenepo ophunzira anamusiya nathawa.
But all this was done, that the Scriptures of the Prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsooke him, and fled.
57 Iwo amene anamugwira Yesu anamutengera kwa Kayafa, mkulu wa ansembe, kumene aphunzitsi amalamulo ndi akuluakulu anasonkhana.
And they tooke Iesus, and led him to Caiaphas the hie Priest, where the Scribes and the Elders were assembled.
58 Koma Petro anamutsatira Iye patali, mpaka ku bwalo la mkulu wa ansembe. Analowa nakhala pansi pamodzi ndi alonda kuti aone zotsatira.
And Peter followed him a farre off vnto the hie Priestes hall, and went in, and sate with the seruants to see the ende.
59 Akulu a ansembe ndi akulu olamulira Ayuda amafunafuna umboni wonama wofuna kuphera Yesu.
Nowe the chiefe Priestes and the Elders, and all the whole councill sought false witnesse against Iesus, to put him to death.
60 Koma sanathe kupeza uliwonse, angakhale kuti mboni zambiri zabodza zinapezeka. Pomalizira mboni ziwiri zinabwera patsogolo.
But they founde none, and though many false witnesses came, yet founde they none: but at the last came two false witnesses,
61 Ndipo zinati, “Munthu uyu anati, ‘Ndikhoza kupasula Nyumba ya Mulungu ndi kuyimanganso mʼmasiku atatu.’”
And saide, This man saide, I can destroie the Temple of God, and build it in three daies.
62 Pamenepo mkulu wa ansembe anayimirira nati kwa Yesu, “Kodi suyankha? Kodi umboni umenewu ndi otani umene anthu awa akupereka kukutsutsa Iwe?”
Then the chiefe Priest arose, and sayde to him, Answerest thou nothing? What is the matter that these men witnesse against thee?
63 Koma Yesu anakhalabe chete. Mkulu wa ansembe anati kwa Iye, “Ndikulamulira Iwe ndi lumbiro pamaso pa Mulungu wa Moyo: utiwuze ife ngati ndiwe Khristu Mwana wa Mulungu.”
But Iesus helde his peace. Then the chiefe Priest answered, and saide to him, I charge thee sweare vnto vs by the liuing God, to tell vs, If thou be that Christ the Sonne of God, or no.
64 Yesu anayankha nati, “Mwanena ndinu. Koma ndikunena kwa inu nonse: mʼtsogolomo mudzaona Mwana wa Munthu atakhala kudzanja lamanja la Wamphamvuzonse ndipo akubwera ndi mitambo ya kumwamba.”
Iesus saide to him, Thou hast saide it: neuerthelesse I say vnto you, hereafter shall ye see the Sonne of man, sitting at the right hande of the power of God, and come in the cloudes of the heauen.
65 Pamenepo mkulu wa ansembe anangʼamba zovala zake nati, “Wanyoza Mulungu! Tifuniranji mboni zina? Taonani, tsopano mwamva mwano wake.
Then the hie Priest rent his clothes, saying, Hee hath blasphemed, what haue wee any more neede of witnesses? beholde: nowe yee haue heard his blasphemie.
66 Mukuganiza bwanji?” Iwo anayankha kuti, “Ayenera kuphedwa!”
What thinke yee? They answered, and said, He is guiltie of death.
67 Kenaka anamulavulira kumaso namumenya ndi zibakera. Ena anamumenya makofi.
Then spet they in his face, and buffeted him, and other smote him with roddes,
68 Ndipo anati, “Tanenera kwa ife, Khristu. Wakumenya ndani?”
Saying, Prophecie to vs, O Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
69 Tsopano Petro anakhala ku bwalo la nyumbayo, ndipo mtsikana wantchito anabwera kwa iye nati, “Iwenso unali ndi Yesu wa ku Galileya.”
Peter sate without in the hall, and a maide came to him, saying, Thou also wast with Iesus of Galile:
70 Koma iye anakana pamaso pawo nati, “Sindikudziwa chimene ukunena.”
But hee denied before them all, saying, I wote not what thou saiest.
71 Kenaka anachoka kupita ku khomo la mpanda, kumene mtsikana wina anamuonanso nawuza anthu nati, “Munthu uyu anali ndi Yesu wa ku Nazareti.”
And when hee went out into the porche, another maide sawe him, and sayde vnto them that were there, This man was also with Iesus of Nazareth.
72 Iye anakananso molumbira kuti, “Sindimudziwa munthuyu!”
And againe he denied with an othe, saying, I knowe not the man.
73 Patapita kanthawi pangʼono, amene anayimirira pamenepo anapita kwa Petro nati, “Zoonadi, ndiwe mmodzi wa iwo, popeza mayankhulidwe ako akukuwulula.”
So after a while, came vnto him they that stoode by, and sayde vnto Peter, Surely thou art also one of them: for euen thy speache bewraieth thee.
74 Pamenepo anayamba kudzitemberera ndipo analumbira kwa iwo nati, “Sindimudziwa munthu ameneyo!” Nthawi yomweyo tambala analira.
Then began hee to curse himselfe, and to sweare, saying, I knowe not the man. And immediately the cocke crewe.
75 Ndipo Petro anakumbukira mawu amene Yesu anayankhula kuti, “Tambala asanalire, udzandikana Ine katatu.” Ndipo anatuluka panja nakalira kwambiri.
Then Peter remembred the wordes of Iesus, which had sayde vnto him, Before the cocke crowe thou shalt denie me thrise. So he went out, and wept bitterly.
