< Mateyu 19 >

1 Yesu atatsiriza kunena zinthu zimenezi, anachoka ku Galileya ndi kupita ku chigawo cha Yudeya mbali ina ya mtsinje wa Yorodani.
It happened when Jesus had finished these words, he departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 Magulu akulu a anthu anamutsatira Iye, ndipo iwo anachiritsidwa pomwepo.
Large crowds followed him, and he healed them there.
3 Afarisi ena anabwera kwa Iye kudzamuyesa. Anamufunsa Iye nati, “Kodi ndikololedwa kuti mwamuna amuleke mkazi wake pa chifukwa china chilichonse?”
And Pharisees came to him, testing him, and saying to him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce a wife for any reason?"
4 Iye anayankha kuti, “Kodi simunawerenge kuti pachiyambi Mulungu analenga iwo, ‘mwamuna ndi mkazi?’
He answered, and said, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female,
5 Ndipo anati, ‘Pa chifukwa ichi mwamuna adzasiya abambo ake ndi amayi ake nakaphatikana ndi mkazi wake, ndipo awiriwo adzakhala thupi limodzi.’
and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife; and the two will become one flesh?'
6 Motero salinso awiri ayi koma mmodzi. Nʼchifukwa chake chimene Mulungu wachimanga pamodzi munthu wina asachilekanitse.”
So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no one separate."
7 Ndipo iwo anamufunsa nati, “Nanga nʼchifukwa chiyani Mose analamula kuti mwamuna azipatsa mkazi wake kalata ya chisudzulo ndi kumuchotsa?”
They asked him, "Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce, and divorce her?"
8 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Mose anakulolezani kuti muzisudzula akazi anu chifukwa cha kuwuma mitima kwanu. Koma sizinali chotere kuyambira pachiyambi.
He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.
9 Ine ndikuwuzani kuti aliyense amene asudzula mkazi wake, osati chifukwa cha chiwerewere nakakwatira mkazi wina, achita chigololo.”
I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery. And he who marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."
10 Ophunzira ake anati kwa Iye, “Ngati umu ndi mmene zilili pa mwamuna ndi mkazi, kuli bwino kusakwatira.”
The disciples said to him, "If this is the case of a husband with a wife, it is not expedient to marry."
11 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Si aliyense amene angavomere chiphunzitso ichi, koma kwa okhawo amene achimvetsetsa.
But he said to them, "Not everyone can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given.
12 Pakuti ena ndi akuti sangakwatire chifukwa anabadwa motero, ena ali motero chifukwa chofulidwa ndi anthu ndipo ena anawukana ukwati chifukwa cha ufumu wakumwamba. Iye amene angalandire ichi alandire.”
For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it."
13 Pamenepo anabwera nawo ana kwa Yesu kuti awasanjike manja ndi kuwapempherera. Koma ophunzira ake anadzudzula amene anabweretsa anawo.
Then little children were brought to him, that he should lay his hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
14 Yesu anati, “Lolani ana abwere kwa Ine, ndipo musawaletse pakuti ufumu wakumwamba ndi wa iwo onga anawa.”
But Jesus said, "Allow the little children, and do not forbid them to come to me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to ones like these."
15 Atasanjika manja ake pa anawo, anachokapo.
He placed his hands on them, and departed from there.
16 Taonani mnyamata wina anabwera kwa Yesu namufunsa kuti, “Aphunzitsi, ndi chinthu chiti chabwino chimene ndiyenera kuchita kuti ndipeze moyo wosatha?” (aiōnios g166)
And look, someone came to him and said, "Teacher, what good thing must I do, that I may have everlasting life?" (aiōnios g166)
17 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Ukundifunsiranji Ine za chinthu chimene ndi chabwino? Pali mmodzi yekha amene ndi wabwino. Ngati ukufuna kulowa mʼmoyo wosatha mvera malamulo.”
He said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? No one is good but one. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."
18 Mnyamatayo anamufunsa kuti, “Ndi ati?” Yesu anayankha kuti, “Usaphe, usachite chigololo, usabe, usapereke umboni onama,
He said to him, "Which ones?" And Jesus said, "'Do not murder.' 'Do not commit adultery.' 'Do not steal.' 'Do not offer false testimony.'
19 lemekeza abambo ako ndi amayi ako ndipo konda mnansi wako monga iwe mwini.”
'Honor your father and mother.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
20 Mnyamatayo anati, “Zonsezi ndimazisunga, nanga chatsala ndi chiyani?”
The young man said to him, "All these things I have kept. What do I still lack?"
21 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Ngati ukufuna kukhala wangwiro, pita kagulitse katundu wako ndi kupereka kwa osauka, ndipo udzakhala ndi chuma kumwamba. Ukakachita zimenezi, ukabwere udzanditsate Ine.”
Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
22 Mnyamatayo atamva zimenezi, anachoka mokhumudwa, chifukwa anali ndi chuma chambiri.
But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.
23 Pamenepo Yesu anati kwa ophunzira ake, “Zoonadi, ndikuwuzani kuti nʼkovuta kuti olemera akalowe mu ufumu wakumwamba.
Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I say to you, it is difficult for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 Komanso ndikuwuzani kuti, nʼkwapafupi kuti ngamira idzere pa kabowo ka zingano kusiyana ndi kuti wolemera akalowe mu ufumu wa Mulungu.”
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God."
25 Ophunzira atamva zimenezi, anadabwa kwambiri ndipo anamufunsa kuti, “Nanga angapulumuke ndani?”
When the disciples heard it, they were exceedingly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?"
26 Yesu anawayangʼana iwo nati, “Ndi anthu, izi nʼzosatheka, koma ndi Mulungu zinthu zonse zimatheka.”
Looking at them, Jesus said, "With humans this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
27 Petro anamuyankha Iye kuti, “Ife tinasiya zonse ndi kukutsatirani Inu! Nanga tsono ife tidzalandira chiyani?”
Then Peter answered, "Look, we have left everything, and followed you. What then will we have?"
28 Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Zoonadi, ndikuwuzani kuti pa nthawi yokonzanso zinthu zonse, pamene Mwana wa Munthu adzakhala pa mpando wake waufumu mu ulemerero wake kumwamba, inu amene mwanditsata Ine mudzakhalanso pa mipando khumi ndi iwiri yaufumu, kuweruza mafuko khumi ndi awiri a Israeli.
Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you that you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on the throne of his glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 Ndipo aliyense amene wasiya nyumba, kapena abale, kapena alongo, kapena bambo kapena mayi kapena mkazi, kapena ana, kapena minda chifukwa cha Ine adzalandira madalitso ochuluka ndi kulandiranso moyo wosatha. (aiōnios g166)
Everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, will receive one hundred times, and will inherit everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
30 Koma ambiri amene ali oyambirira adzakhala omalizira, ndipo ambiri amene ndi omalizira adzakhala oyambirira.”
But many will be last who are first; and first who are last.
