< Mateyu 15 >

1 Pamenepo Afarisi ena ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo anabwera kwa Yesu kuchokera ku Yerusalemu ndipo anamufunsa kuti,
Then the Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying,
2 “Chifukwa chiyani ophunzira anu amaphwanya mwambo wa akuluakulu? Iwo sasamba mʼmanja pakudya!”
"Why do your disciples disobey the Tradition of the Elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread."
3 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Nanga chifukwa chiyani inu mumaphwanya lamulo la Mulungu chifukwa cha mwambo wa makolo anu?
And he answered them, "Why do you also disobey the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 Pakuti Mulungu anati, ‘Lemekeza abambo ako ndi amayi ako’ ndipo ‘aliyense amene atemberera abambo ake kapena amayi ake ayenera kuphedwa.’
For God said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'
5 Koma inu mumati, ngati munthu anena kwa abambo ake kapena amayi ake kuti, ‘Thandizo lililonse mukalirandira kuchokera kwa ine ndi mphatso yoperekedwa kwa Mulungu,’
But you say, 'Whoever may tell his father or his mother, "Whatever help you might otherwise have gotten from me is a gift devoted to God,"
6 iye sakulemekeza nayo abambo ake ndipo ndi khalidwe lotere inu mumapeputsa nalo Mawu a Mulungu chifukwa cha mwambo wanu.
he is not to honor his father or his mother.' You have made the word of God void because of your tradition.
7 Inu anthu achiphamaso, Yesaya ananenera za inu kuti,
You hypocrites. Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8 “‘Anthu awa amandilemekeza Ine ndi milomo yawo, koma mitima yawo ili kutali ndi Ine.
'These people honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
9 Amandilambira Ine kwachabe ndi kuphunzitsa malamulo ndi malangizo a anthu.’”
And in vain do they worship me, teaching instructions that are the commandments of humans.'"
10 Yesu anayitana gulu la anthu nati, “Mverani ndipo zindikirani.
He summoned the crowd, and said to them, "Hear, and understand.
11 Chimene chimalowa mʼkamwa mwa munthu sichimuchititsa kukhala woyipa, koma chimene chimatuluka mʼkamwa mwake, icho ndi chimene chimamuchititsa kukhala woyipa.”
That which enters into the mouth does not defile the person; but that which proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the person."
12 Pamenepo ophunzira anabwera kwa Iye ndipo anamufunsa kuti, “Kodi mukudziwa kuti Afarisi anakhumudwa pamene anamva mawu aja?”
Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"
13 Iye anayankha kuti, “Mbewu iliyonse imene Atate anga akumwamba sanadzale idzazulidwa ndi mizu yomwe.
But he answered, "Every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted.
14 Alekeni, ndi atsogoleri osaona. Ngati munthu wosaona atsogolera wosaona mnzake, onse awiri adzagwera mʼdzenje.”
Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."
15 Petro anati, “Timasulireni fanizoli.”
And answering, Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."
16 Yesu anawafunsa kuti, “Kani ngakhale inunso simumvetsa?
So he said, "Do you also still not understand?
17 Kodi inu simudziwa kuti chilichonse cholowa mʼkamwa chimapita mʼmimba ndipo kenaka chimatuluka kunja kwa thupi?
Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the belly, and then out of the body?
18 Koma zinthu zimene zituluka mʼkamwa zimachokera mu mtima ndipo zimenezi zimamuchititsa munthu kukhala woyipa.
But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the person.
19 Pakuti mu mtima mumatuluka maganizo oyipa, zakupha, zachigololo, zadama, zakuba, zaumboni wonama ndi zachipongwe.
For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.
20 Izi ndi zimene zimachititsa munthu kukhala woyipa; koma kudya ndi mʼmanja mosasamba sikumuchititsa munthu kukhala woyipa.”
These are the things which defile the person; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the person."
21 Yesu atachoka kumalo amenewo anapita kudera la ku Turo ndi ku Sidoni.
Jesus went out from there, and withdrew into the region of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Mayi wa Chikanaani wochokera dera la komweko anabwera kwa Iye akulira, nati, “Ambuye, Mwana wa Davide, ndichitireni chifundo! Mwana wanga wamkazi akuzunzika kwambiri ndi chiwanda.”
And look, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and started shouting, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David. My daughter is severely demonized."
23 Yesu sanayankhe kanthu. Ndipo ophunzira ake anabwera namupempha Iye kuti, “Muwuzeni achoke chifukwa akulira mofuwula pambuyo pathu.”
But he did not answer her a word. His disciples came and pleaded with him, saying, "Send her away, for she keeps shouting at us."
24 Iye anayankha kuti, “Ine ndinatumidwa kwa nkhosa zotayika za Israeli zokha.”
But he answered, "I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
25 Mayiyo anabwera ndi kugwada pamaso pake, nati, “Ambuye ndithandizeni!”
But she came and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, help me."
26 Iye anayankha kuti, “Sibwino kutenga chakudya cha ana ndi kuponyera agalu.”
But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."
27 Mayiyo anati, “Inde Ambuye. Komatu ngakhale agalu amadya nyenyeswa zimene zimagwa kuchokera pa tebulo la mbuye wawo.”
But she said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."
28 Pomwepo Yesu anayankha kuti, “Mayi iwe uli ndi chikhulupiriro chachikulu! Pempho lako lamveka.” Ndipo mwana wake wamkazi anachira nthawi yomweyo.
Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith. Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29 Yesu anachoka kumeneko napita mʼmbali mwa nyanja ya Galileya. Ndipo anakwera ku phiri nakhala pansi.
Jesus departed there, and came near to the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30 Gulu lalikulu la anthu linabwera kwa Iye ndi anthu olumala, osaona, ofa ziwalo, osayankhula ndi ena ambiri nawagoneka pa mapazi ake ndipo Iye anawachiritsa.
Large crowds came to him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, crippled, and many others, and they put them down at his feet; and he healed them.
31 Anthu ataona osayankhula akuyankhula, ofa ziwalo akuchira, olumala miyendo akuyenda ndi osaona akuona anadabwa kwambiri. Ndipo analemekeza Mulungu wa Israeli.
So the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, crippled healthy, lame walking, and blind seeing—and they glorified the God of Israel.
32 Yesu anayitana ophunzira ake nati, “Ndili ndi chifundo ndi anthu awa; akhala kale ndi Ine masiku atatu ndipo alibe chakudya. Ine sindifuna kuti apite kwawo ndi njala chifukwa angakomoke pa njira.”
Jesus summoned the disciples and said, "I have compassion on the crowd, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away fasting, or they might faint on the way."
33 Ophunzira anayankha kuti, “Ndikuti kumene tingakapeze buledi mʼtchire muno okwanira kudyetsa gulu lotere?”
Then the disciples said to him, "Where should we get so many loaves in a deserted place as to satisfy so great a crowd?"
34 Yesu anawafunsa kuti, “Muli ndi malofu a buledi angati?” Iwo anayankha kuti, “Asanu ndi awiri ndi tinsomba pangʼono.”
Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven, and a few small fish."
35 Iye anawuza gululo kuti likhale pansi.
He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground;
36 Kenaka anatenga malofu asanu ndi awiri aja ndi tinsombato ndipo atayamika anagawa napatsa ophunzira ake ndipo iwo anagawira anthuwo.
and he took the seven loaves and the fish. He gave thanks and broke them, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds.
37 Onse anadya ndipo anakhuta. Pomaliza ophunzira anatolera zotsalira nadzaza madengu asanu ndi awiri.
They all ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
38 Chiwerengero cha anthu amene anadya chinali 4,000 kupatula amayi ndi ana.
Those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39 Yesu atatha kuwuza gululo kuti lipite kwawo, analowa mʼbwato ndipo anapita kudera la Magadala.
Then he sent away the crowds, got into the boat, and came into the borders of Magadan.
