< Marko 9 >
1 Ndipo anawawuza kuti, “Zoonadi, ndikuwuzani kuti ena amene ayimirira pano sadzafa asanaone ufumu wa Mulungu ukubwera mwa mphamvu.”
He said to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of you who are standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.”
2 Patatha masiku asanu ndi limodzi Yesu anatenga Petro, Yakobo ndi Yohane nawatsogolera kupita ku phiri lalitali, kumene anali okhaokha. Kumeneko maonekedwe ake anasinthika pamaso pawo.
Six days later, Jesus took Peter and James and John with him up a high mountain, alone by themselves. Then he was transfigured before them.
3 Zovala zake zinawala monyezimira kwambiri, kotero kuti palibe sopo wina aliyense amene angaziyeretse monyezimira chotere pa dziko la pansi.
His garments became radiantly brilliant, extremely white, whiter than any bleacher on earth could bleach them.
4 Ndipo anaonekera Eliya ndi Mose pamaso pawo, amene ankayankhulana ndi Yesu.
Then Elijah with Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5 Petro anati kwa Yesu, “Aphunzitsi, ndi kwabwino kuti ife tili pano. Tiyeni timange misasa itatu; umodzi wanu, wina wa Mose ndi wina wa Eliya.”
Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here, and so let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6 (Iye sanadziwe choti anene, anali ndi mantha akulu).
(For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.)
7 Pamenepo mtambo unaoneka ndi kuwaphimba, ndipo mawu anamveka kuchokera mu mtambo kuti, “Uyu ndi Mwana wanga wokondedwa. Mvereni Iye!”
A cloud came and overshadowed them. Then a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
8 Mwadzidzidzi, atayangʼanayangʼana, sanaonenso wina aliyense ali ndi iwo kupatula Yesu.
Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them, but only Jesus.
9 Pamene ankatsika kuchokera ku phiri, Yesu anawalamulira kuti asawuze aliyense zimene anaona mpaka Mwana wa Munthu atauka kwa akufa.
As they were coming down the mountain, he commanded them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10 Iwo anayisunga nkhaniyo nakambirana za tanthauzo lake la “Kuuka kwa akufa.”
So they kept the matter to themselves, but they discussed among themselves what “rising from the dead” could mean.
11 Ndipo anamufunsa Iye kuti, “Nʼchifukwa chiyani aphunzitsi amalamulo amati Eliya ayenera kuyamba wabwera?”
They asked him, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
12 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Kunena motsimikiza, Eliya ayeneradi kuyamba kubwera kudzakonzanso zinthu zonse. Nʼchifukwa chiyani tsono zinalembedwa, kuti Mwana wa Munthu ayenera kuvutika kwambiri ndi kukanidwa?
He said to them, “Elijah does come first to restore all things. Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be despised?
13 Koma ndikuwuzani, kuti Eliya wabweradi, ndipo amuchitira iye zonse zimene iwo anafuna, monga momwe zalembedwera za iye.”
But I say to you that Elijah has come, and they did whatever they wanted to him, just as scripture says about him.”
14 Atafika kwa ophunzira ena aja, anaona gulu lalikulu la anthu litawazungulira ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo akutsutsana nawo.
When they came to the disciples, they saw a great crowd around them and scribes were arguing with them.
15 Nthawi yomweyo anthu onse atamuona, anadabwa kwambiri ndipo anathamanga kukamulonjera.
As soon as they saw Jesus, the whole crowd was amazed and as they ran up to him they greeted him.
16 Iye anafunsa kuti, “Mukukangana nawo chiyani iwowa?”
He asked his disciples, “What are you arguing with them about?”
17 Munthu wina mʼgululo anayankha kuti, “Aphunzitsi, ndinakubweretserani mwana wanga wamwamuna, amene ndi ogwidwa ndi mzimu umene umamulepheretsa kuyankhula.
Someone in the crowd answered him, “Teacher, I brought my son to you. He has a spirit that makes him unable to speak.
18 Nthawi iliyonse ukamugwira umamugwetsa pansi. Amatuluka thovu kukamwa, amakukuta mano ake ndipo amawuma. Ndinapempha ophunzira anu kuti awutulutse mzimuwo, koma sanathe.”
It seizes him and it throws him down and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and he becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive it out of him, but they could not.”
19 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Haa! Mʼbado osakhulupirira, kodi ndidzakhala nanu mpaka liti? Mubweretseni kwa Ine mnyamatayo.”
He answered them, “Unbelieving generation, how long will I have to stay with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him to me.”
20 Ndipo anamubweretsa kwa Iye. Mzimu woyipawo utaona Yesu, nthawi yomweyo unamukomola mnyamatayo. Anagwa pansi ndi kumagubuduka, ndi kuchita thovu kukamwa.
They brought the boy to him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw him into a convulsion. The boy fell on the ground and foamed at the mouth.
21 Yesu anafunsa abambo a mnyamatayo kuti, “Kodi wakhala chotere nthawi yayitali bwanji?” Iye anayankha kuti, “Kuyambira ali wamngʼono,
Jesus asked his father, “How long has he been like this?” The father said, “Since childhood.
22 wakhala ukumuponya pa moto kapena mʼmadzi kuti umuphe. Koma ngati mungathe kuchita kanthu, tichitireni chifundo ndipo mutithandize.”
It has often thrown him into the fire or into the waters and tried to destroy him. If you are able to do anything, have pity on us and help us.”
23 Yesu anati, “‘Ngati mungathe!’ Zinthu zonse ndi zotheka kwa iye amene akhulupirira.”
Jesus said to him, “'If you are able'? All things are possible for the one who believes.”
24 Nthawi yomweyo abambo a mwanayo anafuwula kuti, “Ndikhulupirira; thandizani kusakhulupirira kwanga!”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe! Help my unbelief!”
25 Yesu ataona kuti gulu la anthu likuthamangira kumalowo, anadzudzula mzimu woyipawo kuti, “Iwe mzimu wolepheretsa kuyankhula ndi kumva, ndikulamulira tuluka mwa iye ndipo usadzalowenso.”
When Jesus saw the crowd running to them, he rebuked the unclean spirit and said, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter into him again.”
26 Mzimuwo unafuwula ndi kumugubuduza kwambiri ndipo unatuluka. Mnyamatayo anaoneka ngati mtembo ndipo ambiri anati, “Wafa.”
It cried out and convulsed the boy greatly and then came out. The boy looked like one who was dead, so that many said, “He is dead.”
27 Koma Yesu anamugwira dzanja ndipo anamuyimiritsa, ndipo anayimirira.
But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and the boy stood up.
28 Yesu atalowa mʼnyumba, ophunzira ake anamufunsa ali pa okha kuti, “Kodi ndi chifukwa chiyani ife sitinathe kutulutsa chiwandacho?”
When Jesus came into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”
29 Iye anayankha kuti, “Mtundu uwu umatuluka pokhapokha mwapemphera ndi kusala kudya.”
He said to them, “This kind cannot be cast out except by prayer.”
30 Anachoka malo amenewo nadutsa ku Galileya. Yesu sanafune kuti wina aliyense adziwe kumene anali,
They went out from there and passed through Galilee. He did not want anyone to know where they were,
31 chifukwa amaphunzitsa ophunzira ake. Anati kwa iwo, “Mwana wa Munthu adzaperekedwa mʼmanja mwa anthu. Adzamupha, ndipo patatha masiku atatu adzauka.”
for he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man will be delivered into the hands of men, and they will put him to death. When he has been put to death, after three days he will rise again.”
32 Koma sanazindikire chimene amatanthauza, ndipo anachita mantha kuti amufunse.
But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask him.
33 Anafika ku Kaperenawo. Pamene anali mʼnyumba, anawafunsa kuti, “Kodi mumatsutsana chiyani mʼnjira muja?”
Then they came to Capernaum. After he entered the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”
34 Koma anakhala chete chifukwa ali mʼnjira amatsutsana za kuti wamkulu kuposa onse ndani.
But they were silent. For they had been arguing with one with another on the way about who was the greatest.
35 Atakhala pansi, Yesu anayitana khumi ndi awiriwo nati, “Ngati wina aliyense afuna kukhala woyamba, ayenera kukhala wotsiriza ndi wotumikira onse.”
Sitting down, he called the twelve together and he said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
36 Anatenga kamwana nakayimiritsa pakati pawo ndipo anawawuza kuti,
He took a little child and placed him in their midst. He took him in his arms and said to them,
37 “Aliyense wolandira mmodzi wa ana angʼono awa mʼdzina langa alandira Ine; ndipo aliyense wolandira Ine salandira Ine koma amene anandituma.”
“Whoever receives such a child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, does not receive me but the one who sent me.”
38 Yohane anati, “Aphunzitsi, tinaona munthu akutulutsa ziwanda mʼdzina lanu ndipo ife tinamuwuza kuti aleke, chifukwa sanali mmodzi wa ife.”
John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we stopped him, because he does not follow us.”
39 Yesu anati, “Musamuletse, palibe amene amachita chodabwitsa mʼdzina langa ndipo kenaka nanena zoyipa za Ine,
But Jesus said, “Do not stop him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name and can soon afterwards say anything bad about me.
40 pakuti aliyense amene satsutsana nafe ali mbali yathu.
Whoever is not against us is for us.
41 Zoonadi, Ine ndikuwuzani kuti aliyense amene akupatsani chikho cha madzi mʼdzina langa chifukwa ndinu ake a Khristu, sadzataya konse mphotho yake.”
Whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.
42 “Ndipo ngati wina aliyense achimwitsa mmodzi wa ana angʼono awa amene akhulupirira Ine, kukanakhala bwino kwa iye kuti aponyedwe mʼnyanja atamangiriridwa mwala waukulu mʼkhosi mwake.
Whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a large millstone tied around his neck and be thrown into the sea.
43 Ngati dzanja lako likuchimwitsa, lidule. Ndi kwabwino kwa iwe kulowa mʼmoyo ndi dzanja limodzi kusiyana ndi kukhala ndi manja awiri ndi kupita ku gehena, kumene moto wake suzima. (Geenna )
If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than to have two hands and to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire. (Geenna )
44 (Kumene mphutsi zake sizifa ndipo moto wake suzima).
45 Ndipo ngati phazi lako likuchimwitsa, lidule. Ndi kwabwino kwa iwe kulowa mʼmoyo olumala kusiyana ndi kukhala ndi mapazi awiri ndi kuponyedwa mu gehena. (Geenna )
If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame than to have your two feet and be thrown into hell. (Geenna )
46 (Kumene mphutsi zake sizifa ndipo moto wake suzima).
47 Ndipo ngati diso lako likuchimwitsa, likolowole. Ndi kwabwino kwa iwe kulowa ufumu wa Mulungu ndi diso limodzi, kusiyana ndi kukhala ndi maso awiri ndi kuponyedwa mu gehena, (Geenna )
If your eye causes you to stumble, tear it out. It is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and to be thrown into hell, (Geenna )
48 kumene “‘mphutsi zake sizifa ndipo moto wake suzima.’
where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out.
49 Aliyense adzayesedwa ndi moto.
For everyone will be salted with fire.
50 “Mchere ndi wabwino, koma ngati utasukuluka, mungawukoleretsenso bwanji? Mukhale nawo mchere mwa inu nokha, ndipo mukhale pa mtendere wina ndi mnzake.”
Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
