< Luka 24 >

1 Pa tsiku loyamba la Sabata, mmamawa kwambiri, amayi anatenga zonunkhira napita ku manda.
On the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared, and some other women were with them.
2 Anaona mwala wa pa manda utagubuduzika
They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,
3 ndipo atalowamo sanapeze mtembo wa Ambuye Yesu.
but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 Pamene iwo ankadabwa za zimenezi, mwadzidzidzi, amuna awiri ovala zovala zonyezimira kwambiri anayimirira pambali pawo.
While they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothes.
5 Ndi mantha, amayiwo anaweramitsa nkhope zawo pansi, koma amunawo anawawuza kuti, “Nʼchifukwa chiyani mukufuna wamoyo pakati pa akufa?
The women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?
6 Iye sali muno ayi. Wauka! Kumbukirani zimene anakuwuzani pamene anali nanu ku Galileya:
He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,
7 ‘Mwana wa Munthu ayenera kuperekedwa mʼmanja mwa anthu ochimwa, napachikidwa ndipo tsiku lachitatu adzaukitsidwanso.’”
that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”
8 Ndipo anakumbukira mawu ake.
Then they remembered his words.
9 Atabwerera kuchokera ku mandako, anafotokoza zinthu zonse kwa khumi ndi mmodziwo ndi kwa ena onse.
When they returned from the tomb, they told all these things to the eleven and to all the others.
10 Amayi anali Mariya Magadalena, Yohana, Mariya amayi a Yakobo, ndi ena anali nawo amene anawuza atumwi.
It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles.
11 Koma iwo sanawakhulupirire amayiwa, chifukwa mawu awo amaoneka kwa iwo ngati opanda nzeru.
But their words came across to the apostles as nonsense, and they did not believe them.
12 Komabe Petro anayimirira ndi kuthamangira ku manda. Atasuzumira, anaona nsalu zimene anamukulungira zija zili pa zokha, ndipo iye anachoka, akudabwa ndi zimene zinachitikazo.
Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. When he stooped down to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there by themselves. So he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
13 Ndipo tsiku lomwelo, awiri a iwo ankapita ku mudzi wotchedwa Emau, pafupifupi makilomita khumi ndi imodzi kuchokera ku Yerusalemu.
That same day two of Jesus' disciples were going to a village called Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem.
14 Iwo ankayankhulana za zonse zimene zinachitikazo.
They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.
15 Pamenepo Yesu mwini wake anabwera ndi kuyenda nawo pamodzi;
As they were talking and discussing these things, Jesus himself drew near and went along with them,
16 koma iwo sanamuzindikire.
but their eyes were kept from recognizing him.
17 Iye anawafunsa kuti, “Kodi mukukambirana zotani mʼnjira muno?” Iwo anayima ndi nkhope zakugwa.
He said to them, “What are you discussing with each other as you walk along, looking downcast?”
18 Mmodzi wa iwo wotchedwa Kaliyopa anamufunsa kuti, “Kodi ndiwe wekha wokhala mu Yerusalemu amene sukudziwa zinthu zimene zachitika mʼmasiku awa?”
Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered him, “Are yoʋ the only visitor in Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these last few days?”
19 Iye anafunsa kuti, “Zinthu zotani?” Iwo anayankha nati, “Za Yesu wa ku Nazareti, Iye anali mneneri, wamphamvu mʼmawu ndi mu zochita pamaso pa Mulungu ndi anthu onse.
He said to them, “What things?” So they said to him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
20 Akulu a ansembe ndi oweruza anamupereka Iye kuti aphedwe, ndipo anamupachika Iye;
and how the chief priests and our rulers handed him over to a sentence of death and crucified him.
21 koma ife tinkayembekezera kuti Iye ndiye amene akanawombola Israeli. Ndipo kuwonjeza apo, lero ndi tsiku lachitatu chichitikireni izi.
But we had hoped that he was the one who would redeem Israel. And besides all this, today is now the third day since these things happened.
22 Kuwonjezanso apo, ena mwa amayi athu atidabwitsa ife. Iwo anapita ku manda mmamawa
Moreover, some women from our group amazed us. They were at the tomb early this morning,
23 koma sanakapeze mtembo wake. Iwo anabwera ndi kudzatiwuza ife kuti anaona masomphenya a angelo amene anati Yesu ali moyo.
and when they did not find his body, they came back saying that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.
24 Kenaka ena mwa anzathu anapita ku manda ndipo anakapeza monga momwe amayiwo ananenera, koma Iye sanamuone.”
Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it to be so, just as the women had said, but they did not see him.”
25 Iye anawawuza kuti, “Inu ndinu anthu opusa, osafuna kukhulupirira msanga zonse zimene aneneri ananena!
Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish men, how slow of heart you are to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Kodi Khristu sanayenera kumva zowawa izi ndipo kenaka ndi kulowa mu ulemerero wake?”
Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”
27 Ndipo kuyambira ndi Mose ndi aneneri onse Iye anawafotokozera zimene zinalembedwa mʼmalemba wonse zokhudzana ndi Iye mwini.
And beginning from Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them the things written about himself in all the Scriptures.
28 Atayandikira mudzi omwe amapitako, Yesu anachita ngati akupitirira.
As they drew near to the village where they were headed, Jesus acted as if he were going farther.
29 Koma iwo anamupempha Iye kwambiri kuti, “Mukhale ndi ife, popeza kwatsala pangʼono kuda, ndipo dzuwa lili pafupi kulowa.” Ndipo Iye anapita kukakhala nawo.
But they urged him not to do so, saying, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening, and the day is drawing to a close.” So he went in to stay with them.
30 Iye ali pa tebulo pamodzi nawo, anatenga buledi ndipo anayamika, nanyema nayamba kuwagawira.
As he was reclining at the table with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
31 Kenaka maso awo anatsekuka ndipo anamuzindikira Iye, ndipo anachoka pakati pawo.
Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight.
32 Iwo anafunsana wina ndi mnzake kuti, “Kodi mitima yathu sinali kutentha mʼkati mwathu pamene Iye ankayankhulana nafe pa njira ndi mmene anatitsekulira malemba?”
They said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as he spoke to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?”
33 Nthawi yomweyo iwo anayimirira ndi kubwerera ku Yerusalemu. Iwo anapeza khumi ndi mmodziwo ndi ena anali nawo nasonkhana pamodzi
So they rose that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, where they found the eleven gathered together with their companions,
34 ndipo anati, “Ndi zoonadi! Ambuye auka ndipo anaonekera kwa Simoni.”
saying, “The Lord is risen indeed and has appeared to Simon!”
35 Kenaka awiriwo anawawuza zimene zinachitika pa njira, ndi mmene iwo anamudziwira Yesu, Iye atanyema buledi.
Then they began describing what had happened on the road, and how Jesus had been made known to them when he broke the bread.
36 Akufotokoza zimenezi, Yesu mwini wake anayimirira pakati pawo ndipo anati, “Mukhale ndi mtendere.”
As they were saying these things, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
37 Koma chifukwa choti anathedwa nzeru ndi kuchita mantha, ankaganiza kuti akuona mzukwa.
But they were startled and terrified, thinking they had seen a spirit.
38 Iye anawafunsa kuti, “Nʼchifukwa chiyani mukuvutika? Nʼchifukwa chiyani mukukayika mu mtima mwanu?
Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why are doubts arising in your hearts?
39 Taonani manja anga ndi mapazi anga. Ine ndine amene! Khudzeni kuti muone. Mzukwa ulibe mnofu ndi mafupa monga mukuonera ndili nazo.”
Look at my hands and my feet and see that it is I myself. Touch me and look at me, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”
40 Iye atanena izi anawaonetsa manja ake ndi mapazi ake.
After saying this, he showed them his hands and his feet.
41 Ndipo pamene iwo samakhulupirirabe, chifukwa cha chimwemwe ndi kudabwa, Iye anawafunsa kuti, “Kodi muli ndi chakudya chilichonse pano?”
And while they were still amazed and in disbelief because of their joy, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
42 Iwo anamupatsa Iye kachidutswa ka nsomba yophika.
So they gave him a piece of broiled fish and some honeycomb.
43 Iye anakatenga ndi kukadya iwo akuona.
And he took them and ate in their presence.
44 Iye anawawuza kuti, “Izi ndi zimene ndinakuwuzani pamene ndinali nanu: chilichonse chiyenera kukwaniritsidwa chimene chinalembedwa cha Ine mʼbuku la Malamulo a Mose, Aneneri ndi Masalimo.”
Then he said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
45 Kenaka anawatsekula maganizo kuti azindikire Malemba.
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures
46 Iye anawawuza kuti, “Izi ndi zimene zinalembedwa: Khristu adzazunzika ndipo adzauka kwa akufa tsiku lachitatu.
and said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead on the third day,
47 Ndipo kutembenuka mtima ndi kukhululukidwa kwa machimo zidzalalikidwa mu dzina lake kwa anthu amitundu yonse kuyambira mu Yerusalemu.
and for repentance and remission of sins to be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
48 Inu ndinu mboni za zimenezi.
You are witnesses of these things.
49 Ine ndidzakutumizirani chimene Atate anga analonjeza. Koma khalani mu mzinda muno mpaka mutavekedwa mphamvu yochokera kumwamba.”
And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you, but stay in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”
50 Iye atawatengera kunja kwa mzindawo mpaka ku Betaniya, anakweza manja ake ndi kuwadalitsa.
Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them.
51 Iye akuwadalitsa, anawasiya ndipo anatengedwa kupita kumwamba.
While he was blessing them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
52 Pamenepo anamulambira Iye ndipo anabwerera ku Yerusalemu ndi chimwemwe chachikulu.
So they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.
53 Ndipo iwo anakhalabe ku Nyumba ya Mulungu, akulemekeza Mulungu.
And they were continually in the temple courts, praising and blessing God. Amen.
