< Luka 15 >
1 Tsopano amisonkho ndi “ochimwa” ankasonkhana kudzamvera mawu ake.
Now all the tax collectors and sinners were approaching him to hear him.
2 Koma Afarisi ndi aphunzitsi amalamulo amangʼungʼudza nati, “Munthu uyu amalandira ochimwa ndi kudya nawo.”
And the Pharisees and the scholars murmured, saying, This man receives sinners and eats with them.
3 Ndipo Yesu anawawuza fanizo ili:
And he spoke this parable to them, saying,
4 “Tiyerekeze kuti mmodzi mwa inu ali ndi nkhosa 100 ndipo imodzi yatayika, kodi iye sangasiye 99 zija kutchire ndi kupita kukafuna yotayikayo mpaka atayipeza?
What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave behind the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go for that which was lost until he finds it?
5 Ndipo iye akayipeza, amayinyamula pa phewa lake mwachimwemwe
And when he finds it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 ndi kupita kwawo. Kenaka amayitana anzake ndi anansi pamodzi, ndi kuti, ‘Kondwerani nane; ine ndayipeza nkhosa yanga yotayika ija.’
And when he comes to the house, he calls together his men friends and his men neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost.
7 Ine ndikukuwuzani kuti momwemonso kudzakhala chikondwerero chachikulu kumwamba chifukwa cha wochimwa mmodzi amene watembenuka mtima kusiyana ndi anthu olungama 99 amene ali otembenuka mtima kale.”
I say to you, that thus there will be joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous men who have no need of repentance.
8 “Kapena tiyeni tifanizire mayi amene anali ndi ndalama zasiliva khumi ndipo imodzi nʼkutayika, kodi sayatsa nyale ndi kusesa mʼnyumba ndi kufuna mosamalitsa mpaka atayipeza?
Or what woman having ten drachmas, if she lose one drachma, does not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she finds it?
9 Ndipo pamene wayipeza, amayitana anzake, ndi anansi pamodzi nati, ‘Kondwerani nane; ine ndayipeza ndalama yanga yotayika ija.’
And when she has found it, she calls together her lady friends and lady neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, because I found the drachma that I lost.
10 Momwemonso, Ine ndikukuwuzani kuti angelo a Mulungu amakondwera kwambiri chifukwa cha wochimwa mmodzi amene watembenuka mtima.”
Thus I say to you, there becomes joy in the presence of the agents of God over one sinner who repents.
11 Yesu anapitiriza kunena kuti, “Panali munthu amene anali ndi ana aamuna awiri.
And he said, A certain man had two sons,
12 Wamngʼonoyo anati kwa abambo ake, ‘Abambo, patseni gawo langa la chuma chanu.’ Ndipo iye anawagawira awiriwo chuma chawo.
and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. And he divided to them his living.
13 “Pasanapite nthawi, wamngʼonoyo anasonkhanitsa chuma chake chonse, napita ku dziko lakutali ndipo kumeneko anayamba kumwaza chuma chake mʼnjira zachitayiko.
And not many days after, the younger son, having gathered all together, journeyed into a distant country, and there he squandered his wealth living recklessly.
14 Iye atawononga zonse, kunagwa njala yoopsa mʼdziko lonselo ndipo anayamba kusauka.
And when he spent all, a mighty famine developed in that country, and he began to be in want.
15 Iye anapita kwa nzika ina ya dzikolo nakakhala naye ndi kumagwira ntchito, amene anamutumiza ku munda kukadyetsa nkhumba.
And having gone, he was joined to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 Iye analakalaka atakhutitsa mimba yake ndi makoko amene nkhumbazo zinkadya, koma panalibe wina amene anamupatsa kanthu.
And he longed to fill his belly from the husks that the swine ate, and no man gave to him.
17 “Maganizo ake atabweramo, iye anati, ‘Ndi antchito angati a abambo anga amene ali ndi chakudya chimene amadya nʼkutsalako ndipo ine ndili pano kufa ndi njala!
But when he came to himself, he said, How many hired men of my father's have abundance of loaves, but I am perishing with hunger.
18 Ine ndinyamuka ndi kubwerera kwa abambo anga ndipo ndikati kwa iwo: abambo, ine ndachimwira kumwamba ndi kwa inu.
After rising, I will go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight.
19 Ndine wosayeneranso kutchedwa mwana wanu; munditenge ngati mmodzi wa antchito anu.’
I am no more worthy to be called thy son. Make me as one of thy hired men.
20 Ndipo iye ananyamuka ndi kupita kwa abambo ake. “Koma iye akanali patali, abambo ake anamuona ndipo anamvera chisoni; anathamangira mwanayo, namukumbatira ndi kupsompsona.
And having risen, he went to his father. But while he was still distant, afar off, his father saw him and felt compassion. And having ran, he fell on his neck, and kissed him much.
21 “Mwanayo anati, ‘Abambo, ine ndachimwira kumwamba ndi inunso. Ine sindiyenera konse kutchedwa mwana wanu.’
And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight. I am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 “Koma abambowo anati kwa antchito ake, ‘Fulumirani! Bweretsani mkanjo wabwino kwambiri ndipo mumuveke. Muvekeni mphete ndi nsapato.
But the father said to his bondmen, Bring forth the best robe and clothe him, and give a ring for his hand, and shoes for his feet.
23 Bweretsani mwana wangʼombe wonenepa ndipo iphani. Tiyeni tikhale ndi phwando ndi kukondwerera.
And having brought the fatted calf, kill it, and having eaten, we will be cheerful,
24 Pakuti mwana wangayu anali wakufa, ndipo ali ndi moyonso; iye anatayika ndipo wapezeka.’ Chomwecho anayamba kukondwerera.
because this my son was dead, and became alive again. And he was lost, and is found. And they began to be cheerful.
25 “Nthawi imeneyi, mwana wake wamkulu uja anali ku munda. Iye atafika pafupi ndi nyumba, anamva anthu akuyimba ndi kuvina.
But his elder son was in a field. And while coming, having approached the house, he heard music and dancing.
26 Ndipo iye anayitana mmodzi wa antchito, namufunsa chimene chimachitika.
And having summoned one of the boys, he inquired what these things might be.
27 Iye anayankha kuti, ‘Mʼbale wako wabwera ndipo abambo ako apha mwana wangʼombe wonenepa chifukwa wabwera wamoyo ndipo ali bwino.’
And he said to him, Thy brother arrived, and thy father has killed the fatted calf, because he received him back healthy.
28 “Mwana wamkulu anakwiya ndipo anakana kulowa. Chomwecho abambo ake anatuluka ndi kumudandaulira.
But he was angry, and would not go in. Therefore, his father having come out, he called him.
29 Koma iye anayankha abambo ake kuti, ‘Taonani! Zaka zonsezi ndakhala ndikukutumikirani kugwira ntchito yowawa ndipo palibe pamene sindinamvere malamulo anu. Koma inu simunandipatse ngakhale mwana wambuzi kuti ine ndichite phwando ndi anzanga.
But having answered, he said to his father, Lo, so many years do I serve thee, and I never passed by a commandment of thine, and yet thou never gave me a goat that I might be merry with my friends.
30 Koma pamene mwana wanu uyu amene wawononga chuma chanu ndi achiwerewere wabwera ku nyumba, inu mwamuphera mwana wangʼombe wonenepa.’”
But when this thy son came, who has devoured thy living with harlots, thou killed for him the fatted calf.
31 Abambowo anati, “Mwana wanga, iwe umakhala ndi ine nthawi zonse ndipo zonse ndili nazo ndi zako.
And he said to him, Child, thou are always with me, and all my things are yours.
32 Koma tinayenera kukondwera ndi kusangalala, chifukwa mʼbale wako uyu anali wakufa ndipo ali ndi moyonso; iye anali wotayika ndipo wapezeka.”
But it was needful to make merry and be glad, because this thy brother was dead, and became alive again, and was lost, and was found.
