< Luka 14 >
1 Pa tsiku lina la Sabata, Yesu atapita kukadya ku nyumba ya Mfarisi wodziwika, Afarisi anamulonda mosamalitsa.
When he went into the house of one of the rulers of the Pharisees [Separated] on a Sabbath ·To cease· to eat bread, they were watching him.
2 Poteropo, patsogolo pake panali munthu amene anadwala matenda otupa mimba ndi miyendo.
Behold, a certain man who had dropsy was in front of him.
3 Yesu anafunsa Afarisi ndi akatswiri amalamulo kuti, “Kodi ndi zololedwa kuchiritsa pa tsiku la Sabata kapena ayi?”
Yeshua [Salvation], answering, spoke to the Torah-experts and Pharisees [Separated], saying, “Does the Torah ·Teaching· allow healing on the Sabbath ·To cease· or not?”
4 Koma iwo sanayankhe. Tsono atamutenga munthuyo, Iye anamuchiritsa ndipo anamuwuza kuti azipita.
But they were silent. He took him, and healed him, and let him go.
5 Kenaka Iye anawafunsa kuti, “Kodi ngati mmodzi mwa inu ali ndi mwana wamwamuna kapena ngʼombe imene yagwera mʼchitsime tsiku la Sabata, kodi simungamuvuwulemo tsiku lomwelo?”
He answered them, “Which of you, if your son or an ox fell into a well, wouldn’t immediately pull him out on a Sabbath ·To cease· day?”
6 Ndipo iwo analibe choyankha.
They couldn’t answer him regarding these things.
7 Iye ataona momwe alendo amasankhira malo aulemu pa tebulo, Iye anawawuza fanizo ili:
He spoke a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the best seats, and said to them,
8 “Pamene wina wakuyitanani ku phwando la ukwati, musakhale pa malo aulemu ayi, chifukwa mwina anayitananso munthu wina wolemekezeka kuposa inu.
“When you are invited by anyone to a marriage feast, don’t sit in the best seat, since perhaps someone more honorable than you might be invited by him,
9 Ngati zitatero, ndiye kuti munthu uja amene anakuyitani inu nonse awiri adzakuwuzani kuti, ‘Mupatseni munthu uyu malo anu.’ Pamenepo inu mudzachita manyazi, pokakhala malo wotsika.
and he who invited both of you would come and tell you, ‘Make room for this person.’ Then you would begin, with shame, to take the lowest place.
10 Koma akakuyitanani, khalani pa malo otsika, kuti amene anakuyitanani uja adzakuwuzeni kuti, ‘Bwenzi, bwera udzakhale pa malo aulemu pano.’ Pamenepo inu mudzalandira ulemu pamaso pa alendo anzanu onse.
But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes, he may tell you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.
11 Pakuti aliyense wodzikuza adzamuchepetsa, ndipo aliyense wodzichepetsa adzamukweza.”
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
12 Kenaka Yesu anati kwa mwini malo uja, “Ukakonza chakudya chamasana kapena chamadzulo, usamayitane abwenzi ako, abale ako, anthu afuko lako kapena anzako achuma; ngati iwe utero, iwo adzakuyitananso, choncho udzalandiriratu mphotho yako.
He also said to the one who had invited him, “When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also teshuvah ·completely return· the favor, and pay you back.
13 Koma ukakonza phwando, itana anthu osauka, ofa ziwalo, olumala ndi osaona.
But when you make a feast, ask the poor, the maimed, the lame, or the blind;
14 Pamenepo udzakhala wodala, chifukwa iwo sangakubwezere kanthu, koma Mulungu ndiye adzakubwezera pa chiukitso cha olungama.”
and you will be blessed, because they don’t have the resources to repay you. For you will be repaid in the resurrection of the upright.”
15 Mmodzi mwa amene amadya naye atamva izi, anati kwa Yesu, “Ndi wodala munthu amene adzadye nawo mu ufumu wa Mulungu.”
When one of those who sat at the table with him heard these things, he said to him, “Blessed is he who will feast in God’s Kingdom!”
16 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Munthu wina ankakonza phwando lalikulu ndipo anayitana alendo ambiri.
But he said to him, “A certain man made a great supper, and he invited many people.
17 Nthawi yaphwando itakwana anatuma wantchito wake kuti akawuze onse amene anayitanidwa kuti, ‘Bwerani, pakuti zonse zakonzeka.’
He sent out his servant at supper time to tell those who were invited, ‘Come, for everything is ready now.’
18 “Koma onse anayamba kupereka zifukwa mofanana. Woyamba anati, ‘Ine ndangogula kumene munda, ndipo ndikuyenera kupita kuti ndikawuone. Pepani mundikhululukire.’
They all as one began to make excuses. “The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please have me excused.’
19 “Wina anati, ‘Ndangogula kumene ngʼombe khumi zokoka ngolo ndipo kupita kukaziyesa. Pepani mundikhululukire.’
“Another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I must go try them out. Please have me excused.’
20 “Wina anatinso, ‘Ine ndangokwatira kumene, choncho sinditha kubwera.’
“Another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I can’t come.’
21 “Wantchitoyo anabwera ndikudzamuwuza bwana wakeyo zimenezi. Pamenepo mphwandoyo anapsa mtima ndipo analamula wantchito wakeyo kuti, ‘Pita msangamsanga kunja mʼmisewu ndi mʼmakwalala a mu mzinda ndipo ukabweretse osauka, ofa ziwalo, osaona ndi olumala.’
“That servant came, and told his lord these things. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor, maimed, blind, and lame.’
22 “Wantchitoyo anati, ‘Bwana, zimene munanena zachitika koma malo akanalipobe.’
“The servant said, ‘Lord, it is done as you commanded, and there is still room.’
23 “Ndipo mbuye uja anawuza wantchito wake kuti, ‘Pita kunja ku misewu ikuluikulu ndi kunja kwa mpanda ndipo ukawawuze kuti alowe, kuti nyumba yanga idzaze.
“The lord said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 Ine ndikukuwuzani inu kuti palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe mwa anthu amene anayitanidwa adzalawa phwandolo.’”
For I tell you that none of those men who were invited will taste of my supper.’”
25 Gulu lalikulu la anthu linkayenda naye Yesu ndipo atatembenukira kwa iwo anati,
Now great multitudes were going with him. He turned and said to them,
26 “Ngati wina aliyense abwera kwa Ine ndipo sadana ndi abambo ndi amayi ake, mkazi wake ndi ana, abale ake ndi alongo ake, inde ngakhale moyo wake omwe, iye sangakhale ophunzira wanga.
“If anyone comes to me, and does not disregard his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he can’t be my disciple.
27 Ndipo aliyense amene sasenza mtanda wake ndi kunditsata Ine sangakhale ophunzira wanga.
Whoever does not bear his own execution-stake, and come after me, can’t be my disciple.
28 “Taganizani, ngati wina mwa inu akufuna kumanga nsanja, kodi iye sayamba wakhala pansi ndi kuganizira za mtengo wake kuti aone ngati ali ndi ndalama zokwanira kuti atsirizire?
For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?
29 Pakuti ngati ayika maziko ndi kulephera kutsiriza, aliyense amene adzayiona adzamuseka,
Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him,
30 nanena kuti, ‘Munthu uyu anayamba kumanga koma sanathe kutsiriza.’
saying, ‘This man began to build, and was not able to finish.’
31 “Kapena mfumu imene ikupita ku nkhondo kukamenyana ndi mfumu ina, kodi siyamba yakhala pansi ndi kulingalira ngati ingathe ndi anthu 10,000 kulimbana ndi amene akubwera ndi 20,000?
Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?
32 Ngati singathe, idzatuma nthumwi pomwe winayo ali kutali ndi kukapempha mgwirizano wamtendere.
Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an envoy, and asks for conditions of peace.
33 Mʼnjira yomweyo, wina aliyense wa inu amene sasiya zonse ali nazo sangakhale ophunzira wanga.
So therefore whoever of you who does not renounce all that he has, he can’t be my disciple.
34 “Mchere ndi wabwino, koma ngati usukuluka adzawukoleretsanso ndi chiyani?
Salt is good, but if the salt becomes flat and tasteless, with what do you season it?
35 Suyeneranso ngakhale mʼnthaka kapena kudzala la manyowa; umatayidwa kunja. “Amene ali ndi makutu akumva, amve.”
It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. It is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him sh'ma ·hear obey·.”
