Oweruza 3
1 Iyi ndi mitundu ya anthu yomwe Yehova anayisiya kuti ayese nayo Aisraeli amene sanadziwe kumenya nkhondo mu Kanaani
And these [are] the nations which he left Yahweh to put to [the] test by them Israel all [those] who not they had known all [the] wars of Canaan.
2 (Yehova anachita izi kuti Aisraeli onse aphunzire kumenya nkhondo; makamaka amene nʼkale lonse sanadziwe kumenya nkhondo.
Only so as to know [the] generations of [the] people of Israel to teach them war only which before not they had known them.
3 Mitundu ya anthuyo ndi: Mafumu asanu a Afilisti, Akanaani onse, Asidoni, ndi Ahivi amene ankakhala ku mapiri a Lebanoni kuyambira ku phiri la Baala-Herimoni mpaka ku Lebo Hamati.
[the] five - [the] rulers of [the] Philistines And all the Canaanite[s] and the Sidonian[s] and the Hivite[s] [who] dwelt of [the] mount of Lebanon from [the] mountain of Baal Hermon to Lebo Hamath.
4 Iwowa Yehova anawasiya kuti aziyesa nawo Aisraeli kuti aone ngati angamvere malamulo a Yehova, amene anapatsa makolo awo kudzera mwa Mose.
And they were to put to [the] test by them Israel to know ¿ will they obey [the] commandments of Yahweh which he had commanded ancestors their by [the] hand of Moses.
5 Choncho Aisraeli anakhala pakati pa Akanaani, Ahiti, Aamori, Aperezi, Ahivi ndi Ayebusi.
And [the] people of Israel they dwelt in [the] midst of the Canaanite[s] the Hittite[s] and the Amorite[s] and the Perizzite[s] and the Hivite[s] and the Jebusite[s].
6 Tsono Aisraeli aja amalola ana awo aamuna ndi aakazi kuti azikwatira ndi kukwatiwa ndi anthu amitundu ina. Kenaka anayamba kupembedza milungu yawo.
And they took daughters their for themselves to wives and daughters their they gave to sons their and they served gods their.
7 Aisraeli anachita zinthu zoyipira Yehova. Iwowa anayiwala Yehova Mulungu wawo ndi kumatumikira Abaala ndi Asera.
And they did [the] people of Israel the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and they forgot Yahweh God their and they served the Baals and the Asherah poles.
8 Choncho Yehova anawapsera mtima Aisraeliwo ndipo anawagulitsa kwa Kusani-Risataimu mfumu ya ku Mesopotamiya. Choncho Aisraeli anakhala pansi pa ulamuliro wake zaka zisanu ndi zitatu.
And it burned [the] anger of Yahweh on Israel and he sold them in [the] hand of Cushan-Rishathaim [the] king of Aram Naharaim and they served [the] people of Israel Cushan-Rishathaim eight years.
9 Koma pamene Aisraeliwo analirira kwa Yehova, Iye anawawutsira mpulumutsi, Otanieli mwana wamwamuna wa Kenazi, mngʼono wake wa Kalebe. Iyeyu ndiye anawapulumutsa.
And they cried out [the] people of Israel to Yahweh and he raised up Yahweh a deliverer for [the] people of Israel and he delivered them Othniel [the] son of Kenaz [the] brother of Caleb young more than him.
10 Mzimu wa Yehova unatsika pa iye, choncho anasanduka mtsogoleri wa Israeli. Iye anapita kukamenya nkhondo, ndipo Yehova anapereka Kusani-Risataimu mfumu ya Aaramu mʼmanja mwake. Choncho anayigonjetsa.
And it was on him [the] spirit of Yahweh and he judged Israel and he went out to war and he gave Yahweh in hand his Cushan-Rishathaim [the] king of Aram and it prevailed hand his over Cushan-Rishathaim.
11 Ndipo mʼdzikomo munakhala mtendere zaka makumi anayi. Kenaka Otanieli mwana wa Kenazi anamwalira.
And it was at peace the land forty year[s] and he died Othniel [the] son of Kenaz.
12 Aisraeli anachitanso zinthu zoyipira Yehova. Tsono Yehova anapatsa mphamvu Egiloni, mfumu ya Mowabu kuti alimbane ndi Aisraeli aja popeza anachita zinthu zoyipira Yehova.
And they repeated [the] people of Israel to do the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh and he strengthened Yahweh Eglon [the] king of Moab over Israel on for they did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh.
13 Egiloniyo anamemeza Aamori ndi Aamaleki kupita kukamenyana ndi Israeli, ndipo analanda Yeriko, mzinda wa migwalangwa.
And he gathered to himself [the] people of Ammon and Amalek and he went and he attacked Israel and they took possession of [the] city of the palm trees.
14 Aisraeli anatumikira ngati akapolo Egiloni mfumu ya Mowabu kwa zaka 18.
And they served [the] people of Israel Eglon [the] king of Moab eight-teen year[s].

And they cried out [the] people of Israel to Yahweh and he raised up Yahweh for them a deliverer Ehud [the] son of Gera [the] Ben-jaminite a man impeded [the] hand of right his and they sent [the] people of Israel by hand his tribute to Eglon [the] king of Moab.
16 Ndipo Ehudi anapanga lupanga lakuthwa kuwiri lotalika masentimita makumi asanu, ndipo anamangirira lupangalo pa ntchafu yake ya kumanja mʼkati mwa zovala zake.
And he made for himself Ehud a sword and [belonged] to it two lips [was] a cubit length its and he girded it from under to garments his on [the] thigh of right his.
17 Iye anakapereka msonkho kwa Egiloni, mfumu ya Mowabu, amene anali munthu wonenepa kwambiri.
And he brought near the tribute to Eglon [the] king of Moab and Eglon [was] a man fat very.
18 Ehudi atapereka msonkhowo, anawuza anthu amene ananyamula msonkhowo kuti azipita.
And it was just when he had finished to bring near the tribute and he sent away the people [who] bore the tribute.
19 Iye mwini anabwerera pamalo a miyala yozokotedwa ku Giligala ndipo anati, “Zikomo mfumu, ine ndili ndi mawu achinsinsi kuti ndikuwuzeni.” Mfumuyo inawuza onse amene amayitumikira kuti akhale chete, ndipo kenaka anawatulutsa.
And he he returned from the idols which [were] with Gilgal and he said a word of secrecy [belongs] to me to you O king and he said hush! and they went out from with him all those [who] stood with him.
20 Kenaka Ehudi anayandikira pafupi ndi mfumuyo, ndipo iyo inakhala yokha mʼchipinda chapamwamba, mozizira bwino. Tsono Ehudi anati, “Ndili ndi mawu ochokera kwa Mulungu woti ndikuwuzeni.” Mfumuyo itadzuka pa mpando wake waufumu,
And Ehud - he came to him and he [was] sitting in [the] roof chamber of the coolness which [belonged] to him to only him and he said Ehud a word of God [belongs] to me to you and he rose from on the throne.
21 Ehudi ndi dzanja lake lamanzere, anasolola lupanga pa ntchafu yake ya kumanja ndi kubaya nalo mfumuyo pa mimba.
And he stretched out Ehud [the] hand of left his and he took the sword from on [the] thigh of right his and he thrust it in belly his.
22 Lupanga linalowa mʼmimba pamodzi ndi chogwirira chake. Mafuta anaphimba lupangalo popeza silinatulutsidwe mʼmimbamo. Ndiponso matumbo anatuluka.
And it went also the hilt after the blade and it closed up the fat behind the blade that not he drew out the sword from belly his and he went out the hole towards.
23 Kenaka Ehudi anatuluka panja pa khonde, atatseka ndi kukhoma zitseko za chipinda chapamwambacho.
And he went out Ehud the porch towards and he closed [the] doors of the roof chamber behind him and he locked [them].
24 Ehudi atachoka, atumiki a mfumu aja anabwera, ndipo ataona kuti zitseko za chipinda chapamwamba zinali zokhoma anaganiza kuti mwina mfumu ikudzithandiza mʼkatimo.
And he he went forth and servants his they came and they saw and there! [the] doors of the roof chamber [were] locked and they said surely [is] covering he feet his in [the] chamber of the coolness.
25 Iwo anadikira nthawi yayitali koma popanda chochitika. Koma ataona kuti mfumuyo sikutsekulabe zitseko za chipindacho, iwo anatenga makiyi ndi kutsekula zitsekozo, ndipo anangoona mbuye wawo atagwera pansi, ali wakufa.
And they writhed until were ashamed and there! not he [was] opening [the] doors of the roof chamber and they took the key and they opened [them] and there! master their [was] lying [the] ground towards dead.
26 Ehudi anathawa pamene iwo ankadikira. Iye anadzera ku malo a miyala yozokotedwa kuja ndi kuthawa kupita ku Seiri.
And Ehud he escaped until delayed they and he he passed by the idols and he escaped Seirah towards.
27 Atafika kumeneko, anayimba lipenga ku dziko la ku mapiri la Efereimu. Iye akutsogolera, Aisraeli onse anatsika naye pamodzi kuchoka ku mapiriko.
And it was when came he and he gave a blast on the ram's horn in [the] hill country of Ephraim and they went down with him [the] people of Israel from the hill country and he [was] before them.
28 Iye anawawuza kuti, “Nditsatireni, chifukwa Yehova wapereka Amowabu, adani anu mʼmanja mwanu.” Choncho anthuwo anamutsatira, nalanda madooko a Yorodani opita ku Mowabu. Iwo sanalole kuti wina aliyense awoloke.
And he said to them pursue after me for he has given Yahweh enemies your Moab in hand your and they went down after him and they captured [the] fords of the Jordan to Moab and not they permitted anyone to pass over.
29 Nthawi imeneyo anapha Amowabu pafupifupi 10,000. Ophedwawo anali anthu amphamvu komanso odziwa kumenya nkhondo, ndipo panalibe ndi mmodzi yemwe anathawa.
And they struck down Moab at the time that about ten thousand man every stout [person] and every man of strength and not he escaped anyone.
30 Tsiku limenelo Amowabu anakhala pansi pa ulamuliro wa Israeli, ndipo dzikolo linakhala pa mtendere kwa zaka 80.
And it was subdued Moab on the day that under [the] hand of Israel and it was at peace the land eighty year[s].
31 Ehudi atamwalira, panabwera Samugara mwana wa Anati. Iye anapha Afilisti 600 ndi ndodo yomenyera ngʼombe. Nayenso anapulumutsa Israeli.
And after him he was Shamgar [the] son of Anath and he struck down [the] Philistines six hundred man with [the] goad of cattle and he delivered also he Israel.
