1 Tsono atsogoleri a mabanja a fuko la Levi anabwera kwa wansembe Eliezara, Yoswa mwana wa Nuni, ndi kwa atsogoleri a mabanja a mafuko onse a Aisraeli,

And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel,

2 ku Silo mʼdziko la Kanaani ndipo anati, “Yehova analamula kudzera mwa Mose kuti atipatse mizinda kuti tikhalemo, pamodzi ndi malo odyetseramo ziweto zathu.”

and they speak to them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, “YHWH commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their outskirts for our livestock.”

3 Choncho, Aisraeli anapereka kwa fuko la Levi mizinda iyi pamodzi ndi malo owetera ziweto zawo kuchokera ku madera awo, monga Yehova analamulira:

And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of YHWH, these cities and their outskirts:

4 Maere oyamba anagwera mabanja a Kohati, Alevi amene anali zidzukulu za wansembe Aaroni anapatsidwa mizinda 13 kuchokera ku mafuko a Yuda, Simeoni ndi Benjamini.

and the lot goes out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities by lot,

5 Ndipo mabanja otsala a Kohati anapatsidwa mizinda khumi kuchokera ku mafuko a Efereimu, Dani ndi theka la fuko la Manase.

and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities by lot.

6 Zidzukulu za Geresoni zinapatsidwa mizinda 13 kuchokera ku mabanja a mafuko a Isakara, Aseri, Nafutali ndi theka la fuko la Manase ku Basani.

And for the sons of Gershon, out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, [are] thirteen cities by lot.

7 Mabanja a Merari anapatsidwa mizinda khumi ndi iwiri kuchokera ku mafuko a Rubeni, Gadi ndi Zebuloni.

For the sons of Merari, for their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, [are] twelve cities.

8 Choncho Aisraeli anapereka kwa fuko la Levi mizindayi pamodzi ndi malo odyetserako ziweto pogwiritsa ntchito maere, monga Yehova analamula kudzera mwa Mose.

And the sons of Israel give these cities and their outskirts to the Levites, as YHWH commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.

9 Awa ndi mayina a mizinda ya mafuko a Yuda ndi Simeoni imene inaperekedwa kwa zidzukulu za Aaroni,

And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;

10 ku banja la Kohati amene anali Alevi. Paja maere oyamba anagwera mabanja a Kohati kuti alandira mizinda.

and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for the first lot has been theirs;

11 Anapatsidwa mzinda wa Kiriati Ariba. (Paja Ariba ndiye kholo la Anaaki). Dzina lina la mzindawu ndi Hebroni, ndipo unali mʼdziko la mapiri la Yuda. Pamodzi ndi mzindawu anapatsidwanso mabusa ake onse ozungulira.

and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it [is] Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its outskirts around it;

12 Komabe minda ndi midzi yozungulira mizindayi inali itaperekedwa kale kwa Kalebe, mwana wa Yefune kuti ikhale cholowa chake.

and they have given the field of the city and its villages to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13 Choncho zidzukulu za Aaroni wansembe, zinapatsidwa Hebroni (mzinda wopulumukirako amene wapha munthu), Libina,

And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Hebron and its outskirts, and Libnah and its outskirts,

14 Yatiri, Esitemowa,

and Jattir and its outskirts, and Eshtemoa and its outskirts,

15 Holoni, Debri,

and Holon and its outskirts, and Debir and its outskirts,

16 Aini, Yuta, ndi Beti-Semesi pamodzi ndi mabusa odyetseramo ziweto ozungulira mizindayi. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda isanu ndi inayi yochokera ku mafuko awiriwa.

and Ain and its outskirts, and Juttah and its outskirts, Beth-Shemesh and its outskirts; nine cities out of these two tribes.

17 Fuko la Benjamini linapereka Gibiyoni, Geba,

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its outskirts, Geba and its outskirts,

18 Anatoti ndi Alimoni, pamodzi ndi mabusa odyetsera ziweto ozungulira mizindayi. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

Anathoth and its outskirts, and Almon and its outskirts—four cities;

19 Choncho mizinda 13 pamodzi ndi malo odyetsera ziweto anapatsidwa kwa ansembe, zidzukulu za Aaroni.

all the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, [are] thirteen cities and their outskirts.

20 Mabanja ena otsalira a Kohati a fuko la Levi anapatsidwa mizinda iyi kuchokera ku fuko la Efereimu:

And for the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, who are left of the sons of Kohath, even the cities of their lot are of the tribe of Ephraim;

21 Mizinda ya Sekemu ndi Gezeri ndiye inali mizinda wopulumukirako munthu aliyense wopha mnzake mwangozi. Mizindayi inali ku mapiri a Efereimu.

and they give to them the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Shechem and its outskirts, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its outskirts,

22 Analandiranso mizinda ya Gezeri, Kibuzaimu, Beti-Horoni pamodzi ndi malo odyetsera ziweto ozungulira mizindayi. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

and Kibzaim and its outskirts, and Beth-Horon and its outskirts—four cities.

23 Fuko la Dani linapereka mizinda ya Eliteke, Gibetoni,

And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its outskirts, Gibbethon and its outskirts,

24 Ayaloni, Gati-Rimoni pamodzi ndi mabusa odyetsera ziweto ozungulira mizindayi. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

Aijalon and its outskirts, Gath-Rimmon and its outskirts—four cities.

25 Kuchokera ku theka la fuko la Manase analandira Taanaki ndi Gati-Rimoni pamodzi ndi malo awo owetera ziweto, mizinda iwiri.

And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its outskirts, and Gath-Rimmon and its outskirts—two cities;

26 Mizinda khumi yonseyi pamodzi ndi malo odyetsera ziweto, zinapatsidwa ku mabanja ena onse a Akohati.

all the cities [are] ten and their outskirts, for the families of the sons of Kohath who are left.

27 Mabanja a Ageresoni a fuko la Levi anapatsidwa mizinda iwiri kuchokera ku theka la Manase wa kummawa, Golani ku Basani (mzinda wopulumukirako amene wapha munthu mwangozi) ndi Beesitera, pamodzi ndi malo awo odyetserako ziweto.

And for the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Golan in Bashan and its outskirts, and Beeshterah and its outskirts—two cities.

28 Fuko la Isakara linapereka mizinda ya Kisoni, Daberati,

And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its outskirts, Dabarath and its outskirts,

29 Yarimuti ndi Eni Ganimu, pamodzi ndi malo awo odyetsera ziweto. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

Jarmuth and its outskirts, En-Gannim and its outskirts—four cities.

30 Fuko la Aseri linapereka mizinda ya Misali, Abidoni,

And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its outskirts, Abdon and its outskirts,

31 Helikati ndi Rehobu pamodzi ndi malo awo odyetsera ziweto. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

Helkath and its outskirts, and Rehob and its outskirts—four cities.

32 Fuko la Nafutali linapereka mizinda ya Kedesi wa ku Galileya, mzinda umene unali wopulumukiramo munthu wopha mnzake mwangozi. Analandiranso mizinda ya Hamoti-Dori ndi Karitani. Kuphatikizira apa, analandira malo odyetsera ziweto a mizindayi. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its outskirts, and Hammoth-Dor and its outskirts, and Kartan and its outskirts—three cities;

33 Mabanja onse a Ageresoni analandira mizinda 13 pamodzi ndi malo awo odyetsera a ziweto.

all the cities of the Gershonite, for their families, [are] thirteen cities and their outskirts.

34 Mabanja a Merari amene anali otsala a fuko la Levi, anapatsidwa mizinda iyi kuchokera ku fuko la Zebuloni: Yokineamu, Karita,

And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites, who are left, [are, ] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its outskirts, Kartah and its outskirts,

35 Dimuna ndi Nahalali, pamodzi ndi malo awo odyetsera ziweto. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

Dimnah and its outskirts, Nahalal and its outskirts—four cities.

36 Kuchokera ku fuko la Rubeni analandira Bezeri, Yahaza,

And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its outskirts, and Jahazah and its outskirts,

37 Kedemoti ndi Mefaati, pamodzi ndi malo awo odyetsera ziweto. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda inayi.

Kedemoth and its outskirts, and Mephaath and its outskirts—four cities.

38 Kuchokera ku fuko la Gadi analandira mzinda wa Ramoti ku Giliyadi. Mzinda umene unali wopulumukiramo munthu wopha mnzake mwangozi.

And out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its outskirts, and Mahanaim and its outskirts,

39 Analandiranso mizinda ya Mahanaimu, Hesiboni, Yazeri pamodzi ndi malo odyetserako ziweto ozungulira mizinda yonseyi. Yonse pamodzi inali mizindayi anayi.

Heshbon and its outskirts, Jazer and its outskirts—four cities [in] all.

40 Choncho mabanja onse a Merari, amene anali otsala a fuko la Levi analandira mizinda khumi ndi iwiri pogwiritsa ntchito maere.

All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, who are left of the families of the Levites—their lot is twelve cities.

41 Motero mizinda 48 ya mʼdziko limene Aisraeli analanda inapatsidwa kwa Alevi, kuphatikizapo malo ake odyetsera ziweto.

All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel [are] forty-eight cities, and their outskirts.

42 Iliyonse mwa mizindayi inali ndi malo owetera ziweto oyizungulira.

These cities are each city and its outskirts around it; so to all these cities.

43 Motero Yehova anapereka kwa Israeli dziko limene analumbira kulipereka kwa makolo awo. Atalilandira anadzakhalamo.

And YHWH gives to Israel the whole of the land which He has sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;

44 Yehova anawapatsa mtendere mʼdziko lonse monga momwe analonjezera makolo awo. Palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe mwa adani awo amene anatha kuwagonjetsa chifukwa Yehova anapereka adani awo onse mʼmanja mwawo.

and YHWH gives rest to them all around, according to all that which He has sworn to their fathers, and there has not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, YHWH has given the whole of their enemies into their hand;

45 Yehova anakwaniritsa zonse zimene analonjeza kwa Aisraeli.

there has not fallen a thing of all the good thing which YHWH spoke to the house of Israel—the whole has come.
