1 Maere achiwiri anagwera mabanja a fuko la Simeoni. Dziko lawo linali mʼkati mwenimweni mwa dziko la Yuda.
The second/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Simeon. Each clan in that tribe was allotted some land that was inside the area that had been allotted to the tribe of Judah.
2 Dzikolo linaphatikiza zigawo izi: Beeriseba (ndi Seba), Molada,
Their land included the towns of Beersheba ([which is also named] Sheba), Moladah,
3 Hazari-Suwali, Bala, Ezemu,
Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem,
4 Elitoladi, Betuli, Horima,
Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,
5 Zikilagi, Beti-Marikaboti, Hazari-Susa,
Ziklag, Beth-Marcaboth. Hazar-Susah,
6 Beti-Lebaoti ndi Saruheni. Yonse pamodzi inali mizinda 13 ndi midzi yawo.
Beth-Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. Altogether there were 13 towns and the surrounding villages.
7 Panalinso mizinda inayi iyi: Aini, Rimoni, Eteri ndi Asani pamodzi ndi midzi yawo.
The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.
8 Dzikolo linaphatikizanso midzi yonse yozungulira mizinda imeneyi mpaka ku Baalati-Beeri, ndiye kuti Rama wa kummwera. Ili ndi dziko limene mabanja a fuko la Simeoni analandira kukhala lawo.
They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is [also named] Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.
9 Cholowa cha fuko la Simeoni chinatengedwa kuchokera ku gawo la Yuda chifukwa fuko la Yuda linali lalikulu kwambiri. Izi zinachititsa fuko la Simeoni kukhala mʼkati mwenimweni mwa dziko la Yuda.
The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.
10 Maere achitatu anagwera mabanja a fuko la Zebuloni: Malire a dziko lawo anafika mpaka ku Saridi.
The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid [city].
11 Malirewo anakwera kupita cha kumadzulo ku Marala nakafika ku Dabeseti ndi ku mtsinje wa kummawa kwa Yokineamu.
It extended west to Maralah [city] and on to Dabbesheth [city], and on to the brook just north of Jokneam [city].
12 Kuchokera ku mbali ina ya Saridi malire anakhota kupita kummawa ku malire a Kisiloti-Tabori mpaka ku Daberati nakwera mpaka ku Yafiya.
The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor [city] and on to Daberath [town] and on to Japhia [town].
13 Kuchokera kumeneko anabzola kulowa cha kummawa mpaka ku Gati-Heferi ndi ku Eti Kazini ndi kumaloza ku Neya njira ya ku Rimoni.
From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher [city] and Eth-Kazin [town], and north to Rimmon [city]. From there the border extended [west] to Neah [town].
14 Mbali ya kumpoto malirewo analoza ku Hanatoni ndipo anakathera ku chigwa cha Ifita Eli.
From Neah it extended south to Hannathon [city] and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.
15 Anaphatikizapo Katati, Nahalala, Simironi, Idala ndi Betelehemu. Mizinda yonse inakwana khumi ndi iwiri pamodzi ndi midzi yake.
Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.
16 Mizinda imeneyi pamodzi ndi midzi yake ndi imene mabanja a fuko la Zebuloni analandira.
That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.
17 Maere achinayi anagwera mabanja a fuko la Isakara.
The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.
18 Dziko lawo linaphatikiza zigawo izi: Yezireeli, Kesuloti, Sunemu,
Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,
19 Hafaraimu, Sioni, Anaharati,
Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,
20 Rabiti, Kisoni, Ebezi,
Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,
21 Remeti, Eni Ganimu, Eni Hada ndi Beti-Pazezi.
Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.
22 Malirewa anakafikanso ku Tabori, Sahazuma ndi Beti-Semesi ndipo anakathera ku Yorodani. Mizinda yonse inalipo 16 ndi midzi yake.
The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh [cities], and ended [in the east] at the Jordan [River]. Altogether there were 16 cities and the surrounding villages.
23 Mizinda imeneyi pamodzi ndi midzi yake ndiyo inali cholowa cha mabanja a fuko la Isakara.
Those cities and villages were in the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Issachar.
24 Maere achisanu anagwera mabanja a fuko la Aseri.
The fifth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Asher. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
25 Gawo lawo linaphatikiza Helikati, Hali, Beteni, Akisafu,
Their land included the towns of Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,
26 Alameleki, Amadi ndi Misali. Kumadzulo malire anafika ku Karimeli ndi Sihori Libinati.
Allammelech, Amad, and Mishal. The western border started at Carmel [Mountain] and Shihor-Libnath.
27 Kenaka anakhotera kummawa kulowera ku Beti-Dagoni nafika ku dziko la Zebuloni ndi ku chigwa cha Ifita Eli, ndipo anapita kumpoto ku Beti-Emeki ndi Neieli. Anapitirirabe kumpoto mpaka kukafika ku Kabuli,
From there it extended [southeast] to Beth-Dagon [town], and then to [the area that was allotted to the tribe of] Zebulun and Iphtah-El Valley. From there the border extended east and then north to Beth-Emek [town] and Neiel and Cabul [towns].
28 Ebroni, Rehobu, Hamoni, ndi Kana, mpaka ku Sidoni Wamkulu.
From there it extended west to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah [cities], and continued to Sidon, which is a big city.
29 Kenaka malirewo anakhotera ku Rama ndi kupita ku mzinda wotetezedwa wa ku Turo. Kuchokera pamenepo malirewo anakhota kupita ku Hosa nakatulukira ku Nyanja, mʼchigawo cha Akizibu,
From there the border extended south toward Ramah and to the big city of Tyre that had strong walls around it. From there the border extended [west] to Hosah [town] and ended at the [Mediterranean] Sea. Within their area were the towns of Aczib,
30 Uma, Afeki ndi Rehobu. Mizinda yonse inalipo 22 pamodzi ndi midzi yake.
Ummah, Aphek, and Rehob. Altogether there were 22 towns and their surrounding villages.
31 Mizinda yonseyi pamodzi ndi midzi yake ndiyo inali cholowa cha mabanja a fuko la Aseri.
Those cities and villages were within the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Asher.
32 Maere achisanu ndi chimodzi anagwera mabanja a fuko la Nafutali.
The sixth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Naphtali. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
33 Malire awo anayambira ku Helefu mpaka ku mtengo wa thundu wa ku Zaananimu, ndipo anapitirira nʼkukafika ku Adami Nekebu, Yabineeli mpaka ku Lakumi ndi kukathera ku Yorodani.
The border of their land started [in the west] at the [huge] oak tree at Zaanannim, near Heleph [town]. It extended [east] through Adami-Nekeb [city] and Jabneel, and then to Lakkum, and ended at the Jordan [River].
34 Tsono malirewo anakhotera kumadzulo kupita ku Azinoti-Tabori. Kuchoka kumeneko anapita ku Hukoki, modutsa Zebuloni cha kummwera, Aseri cha kumadzulo ndi mtsinje wa Yorodani cha kummawa.
The western boundary extended through Aznoth-Tabor as far as Hukkok [city]. It extended to the borders of [the tribe of] Zebulun at the south, to [the border of the tribe of] Asher on the west, and the Jordan [River] at the east.
35 Mizinda yotetezedwa inali Zidimi, Zeri, Hamati, Rakati, Kinereti,
[Within their land were] several cities with strong walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,
37 Kedesi, Ederi, Eni Hazori,
Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor,
38 Yironi, Migidali Eli, Horemu, Beti-Anati ndi Beti-Semesi. Yonse pamodzi inalipo mizinda 19 ndi midzi yake.
Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath, and Beth-Shemesh. Altogether there were 19 cities and the surrounding villages.
39 Mizinda yonseyi pamodzi ndi midzi yawo ndiyo inali cholowa cha mabanja a fuko la Nafutali.
Those cities and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Naphtali.
40 Maere achisanu ndi chiwiri anagwera mabanja a fuko la Dani.
The seventh/last tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Dan. Each of the clans in that tribe was allotted some of the land.
41 Gawo lawo linaphatikiza mizinda iyi: Zora, Esitaoli, Iri Semesi,
Their land included the towns of Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh,
42 Saalabini, Ayaloni, Itira,
Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,
44 Eliteke, Gibetoni, Baalati,
Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,
45 Yehudi, Beni Beraki, Gati-Rimoni,
Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon,
46 Me-Yarikoni ndi Rakoni, pamodzi ndi dera loyangʼanana ndi Yopa.
Me-Jarkon, Rakkon, and the area near Joppa.
47 Anthu a fuko la Dani atalandidwa dziko lawo, anapita kukathira nkhondo Lesemu. Iwo anapha anthu ake onse, nawulandiratu mzindawo, kuwusandutsa wawo ndi kumakhalamo. Tsono anatcha mzindawo dzina loti Dani popeza ndilo linali dzina la kholo lawo.
But the people of the tribe of Dan were unable to take control of the land that had been allotted to them. So they went [northeast] and fought against the people in Leshem [city]. They defeated and killed all the people who lived there. Then they began to live in Leshem, and changed the name of the city to Dan, the man from whom their tribe descended.
48 Mizinda yonseyi pamodzi ndi midzi yake ndiyo inali cholowa cha mabanja a fuko la Dani.
All of those towns and surrounding villages were in the land that was allotted to the clans in the tribe of Dan.
49 Atatha kugawana zigawo zosiyanasiyana za dzikolo, Aisraeli anamupatsa Yoswa mwana wa Nuni chigawo chake.
After the Israeli leaders divided the land among the tribes, they allotted some land to Joshua.
50 Potsata zimene Yehova anawalamula, anamupatsa mzinda wa Timnati-Sera umene anawupempha. Mzindawu unali mʼdziko lamapiri la Efereimu. Iye anawumanga mzindawu ndi kukhazikikako.
They allotted to him Timnath-Serah. Yahweh had said that he could have whatever city he wanted, and that was the city that he chose. It was in the hilly region which was allotted to the tribe of Ephraim. Joshua rebuilt the city and lived there.
51 Wansembe Eliezara, Yoswa ndi atsogoleri a mabanja onse a Israeli anagawa dziko lija zigawozigawo pogwiritsa ntchito maere pamaso pa Yehova. Izi zinachitika ku Silo pa khomo la tenti ya msonkhano. Choncho anamaliza kugawa dzikolo.
Those were the areas that were allotted to the various tribes of Israel. Eleazar the Supreme Priest and Joshua and the leaders of each tribe divided up the land while they were all at Shiloh, by (casting lots/throwing marked stones) [to decide which area each tribe would receive]. They did that while Yahweh was watching, at the entrance of the Sacred Tent. In that way they completed dividing up the land.
