Yoswa 13
1 Yoswa atakalamba Yehova anamuwuza kuti, Iwe tsopano wakalamba kwambiri, koma dziko losalandidwa lilipobe lalikulu.
Now Joshua was old [and] stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, Thou art old [and] stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.
2 “Madera amene atsala ndi awa: chigawo chonse cha Afilisti ndi Agesuri
This [is] the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,
3 kuchokera ku mtsinje wa Sihori kummawa kwa Igupto mpaka kumpoto kwa dziko la Ekroni. Madera onse amawerengedwa kuti ndi a Akanaani ngakhale amalamulidwa ndi mafumu asanu a Afilisti a ku Gaza, Asidodi, Asikeloni, Gati, Ekroni ndi Agiti, komanso ku Avimu ku chigawo cha kumpoto.
From Sihor, which [is] before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, [which] is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:
4 Dziko lina la Akanaani ndi Ameara limene lili mʼmanja mwa Asidoni mpaka ku Afeki, dziko limene linachitana malire ndi dziko la Aamori.
From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that [is] beside the Sidonians, unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:
5 Palinso dziko lonse la Gebala ndi Lebanoni cha kummawa kuyambira ku Baala-Gadi pa tsinde pa phiri la Herimoni mpaka ku Lebo Hamati.
And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baal-gad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
6 “Palinso anthu okhala mʼchigawo cha ku mapiri kuchokera ku Lebanoni mpaka ku Misirefoti-Maimu, Ine ndidzawapirikitsa pamene Aisraeli azidzalowa. Tsono uwagawire Aisraeli dziko limeneli kuti likhale cholowa chawo monga momwe ndakulamulira.
All the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephoth-maim, [and] all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
7 Tsopano ugawire dziko limeneli mafuko asanu ndi anayi ndiponso theka la fuko la Manase, kuti likhale cholowa chawo.”
Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh,
8 Anthu a fuko la Rubeni ndi fuko la Gadi pamodzi ndi theka lina la fuko la Manase analandira kale cholowa chawo chimene Mose mtumiki wa Yehova anawapatsa. Cholowa chawocho chinali kummawa kwa mtsinje wa Yorodani.
With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond Jordan eastward, [even] as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them;
9 Dziko lawolo linayambira ku Aroeri mzinda umene uli pafupi ndi chigwa cha Arinoni, ndiponso mzinda umene uli pakati pa chigwacho. Dzikolo linkaphatikizanso dera lonse lokwera kuyambira ku Medeba mpaka ku Diboni.
From Aroer, that [is] upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that [is] in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;
10 Linkaphatikizanso mizinda yonse ya mfumu Sihoni ya Aamori, imene inkalamulira mu Hesiboni, mpaka ku malire a Aamoni.
And all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon;
11 Dzikoli linaphatikizanso Giliyadi, dziko la anthu a ku Gesuri ndi Maaka, phiri lonse la Herimoni ndi dziko lonse la Basani mpaka ku Saleka.
And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;
12 Linaphatikizanso dziko la mfumu Ogi ya ku Basani imene imalamulira kuchokera ku Asiteroti ndi Ederi. Iye yekha ndiye anali mfumu ya Arefaimu amene anapulumuka. Mose anali atawagonjetsa anthu amenewa ndi kuwathamangitsira kutali.
All the kingdom of Og in Bashan, which reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants: for these did Moses smite, and cast them out.
13 Koma Aisraeli sanathamangitse anthu a ku Gesuri ndi Maaka, kotero iwowa amakhalabe pakati pawo mpaka lero.
Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
14 Koma Mose sanapereke dziko kwa fuko la Alevi popeza zopereka zopatulika zimene anthu ankapereka kwa Yehova, Mulungu wa Israeli, ndizo zinali cholowa chawo monga Yehova anawalonjezera.
Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none inheritance; the sacrifices of the LORD God of Israel made by fire [are] their inheritance, as he said unto them.
15 Mose anapereka gawo lina la dziko kwa mabanja a fuko la Rubeni.
And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben [inheritance] according to their families.
16 Dziko lawo linayambira ku Aroeri mzinda umene uli pafupi ndi chigwa cha Arinoni, mʼmudzi wa pakati pa chigwa, ndiponso dera lonse lokwera mpaka ku Medeba.
And their coast was from Aroer, that [is] on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that [is] in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;
17 Dzikolo linaphatikizanso Hesiboni ndi mizinda yake yonse, komanso mizinda monga Diboni, Bamoti Baala, Beti-Baala-Meoni,
Heshbon, and all her cities that [are] in the plain; Dibon, and Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,
18 Yahaza, Kedemoti, Mefaati.
And Jahazah, and Kedemoth, and Mephaath,
19 Kiriataimu, Sibima, Zereti-Sahari, pa phiri limene lili mʼchigwa,
And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar in the mount of the valley,
20 Beti-Peori, ku matsitso a Pisiga, ndiponso Beti-Yesimoti.
And Beth-peor, and Ashdoth-pisgah, and Beth-jeshimoth,
21 Dzikolo linaphatikizanso mizinda yonse ya ku madera okwera ndiponso dziko lonse la mfumu Sihoni ya Aamori amene ankalamulira kuchokera ku Hesiboni. Mose anamugonjetsa iye pamodzi ndi mafumu a Amidiyani awa: Evi, Rekemu, Zuri, Huri ndi Reba, mafumu amene anagwirizana ndi Sihoni. Onsewa analamulira dzikolo ngati nduna za Sihoni.
And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, [which were] dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
22 Kuwonjezera pa amene anaphedwa ndi nkhondo, Aisraeli anapha ndi lupanga Balaamu mwana wa Beori, amene amachita za matsenga.
Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among them that were slain by them.
23 Malire a fuko la Rubeni anali mtsinje wa Yorodani. Mizinda imeneyi pamodzi ndi midzi yake zinapatsidwa kwa mabanja a fuko la Rubeni kuti akhale cholowa chawo.
And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border [thereof]. This [was] the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities and the villages thereof.
24 Dera limene Mose anapereka kwa mabanja a fuko la Gadi ndi ili:
And Moses gave [inheritance] unto the tribe of Gad, [even] unto the children of Gad according to their families.
25 Dziko la Yazeri, mizinda yonse ya mu Giliyadi ndiponso theka la dziko la Amori kukalekezera ku Aroeri, kufupi ndi Raba;
And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that [is] before Rabbah;
26 ndiponso kuyambira ku Hesiboni mpaka ku Ramati-Mizipa, ndi Betonimu; ndiponso kuyambira ku Mahanaimu mpaka ku dziko la Debri.
And from Heshbon unto Ramath-mizpeh, and Betonim; and from Mahanaim unto the border of Debir;
27 Mu chigwa cha Yorodani analandiramo Beti-Haramu, Beti-Nimira, Sukoti ndi Zafoni pamodzi ndi dziko lonse la mfumu Sihoni ya ku Hesiboni. Malire ake a ku madzulo anali mtsinje wa Yorodani kufikira ku Nyanja ya Kinereti, kumpoto.
And in the valley, Beth-aram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, Jordan and [his] border, [even] unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
28 Mizinda ndi midzi imeneyi inali cholowa cha mabanja a fuko la Gadi.
This [is] the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities, and their villages.
29 Mose anali atapereka kale gawo lina la dziko limeneli kwa theka la mabanja a fuko la Manase kuti likhale cholowa chawo.
And Moses gave [inheritance] unto the half tribe of Manasseh: and [this] was [the possession] of the half tribe of the children of Manasseh by their families.
30 Derali linayambira ku Mahanaimu kuphatikizapo dziko lonse la mfumu Ogi, Mfumu ya ku Basani, pamodzi ndi mizinda 60 ya ku Yairi, ku Basaniko.
And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which [are] in Bashan, threescore cities:
31 Derali linaphatikizanso theka la Giliyadi pamodzi ndi Asiteroti ndi Ederi, mizinda yayikulu ya mfumu Ogi wa Basani. Mizinda imeneyi inapatsidwa kwa mabanja a Makiri, mwana wa Manase kuti ikhale cholowa cha theka la ana a Makiri, malinga ndi mabanja awo.
And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, [were pertaining] unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, [even] to the one half of the children of Machir by their families.
32 Umu ndi mmene Mose anagawira malo a mʼchigwa cha Yorodani, kummawa kwa Yeriko, ku tsidya kwa Yorodani.
These [are the countries] which Moses did distribute for inheritance in the plains of Moab, on the other side Jordan, by Jericho, eastward.
33 Komatu Mose sanapereke malo kwa fuko la Levi. Mose anawawuza kuti zopereka zimene anthu ankapereka kwa Yehova ndizo cholowa chawo.
But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not [any] inheritance: the LORD God of Israel [was] their inheritance, as he said unto them.
