< Yohane 21 >
1 Zitatha izi Yesu anaonekeranso kwa ophunzira ake, mʼmbali mwa nyanja ya Tiberiya. Anadzionetsera motere:
Later on, Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias.
2 Simoni Petro, Tomasi (otchedwa Didimo), Natanieli wochokera ku Kana wa ku Galileya, ana a Zebedayo, ndi ophunzira ena awiri anali limodzi.
It was in this way: — Simon Peter, Thomas, who was called ‘The Twin,’ Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, Zebediah’s sons, and two other disciples of Jesus, were together, when Simon Peter said:
3 Simoni Petro anawawuza iwo kuti, “Ine ndikupita kukasodza,” ndipo iwo anati, “ife tipita nawe.” Choncho anapita ndi kulowa mʼbwato, koma usiku umenewo sanagwire kanthu.
“I am going fishing.” “We will come with you,” said the others. They went out and got into the boat, but caught nothing that night.
4 Mmamawa, Yesu anayimirira mʼmbali mwa nyanja, koma ophunzira ake sanazindikire kuti anali Yesu.
Just as day was breaking, Jesus came and stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was he.
5 Yesu anawafunsa iwo kuti, “Anzanga, kodi muli nsomba?” Iwo anayankha kuti, “Ayi.”
“My children,” he said, “have you anything to eat?” “No,” they answered.
6 Iye anati, “Ponyani khoka lanu kudzanja lamanja la bwato lanu ndipo mupha kanthu.” Atatero, iwo analephera kukoka ukonde chifukwa chakuchuluka kwa nsomba.
“Cast your net to the right of the boat,” he said, “and you will find fish.” So they cast the net, and now they could not haul it in on account of the quantity of fish.
7 Kenaka ophunzira amene Yesu amamukonda anati kwa Petro, “Ndi Ambuye!” Petro atangomva iye akunena kuti ndi Ambuye, iye anavala chovala chake (pakuti anali atavula) ndipo analumphira mʼnyanja.
Upon this the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter: “It is the Master!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Master, he fastened his coat round him (for he had taken it off), and threw himself into the Sea.
8 Ophunzira enawo analowa mʼbwato akukoka ukonde odzaza ndi nsomba, popeza iwo sanali kutali kuchokera ku mtunda, pafupifupi mamita makumi asanu ndi anayi.
But the rest of the disciples came in the boat (for they were only about a hundred yards from shore), dragging the net full of fish.
9 Atafika pa mtunda, iwo anaona moto wamakala pamenepo ndi nsomba, ndi buledi.
When they had come ashore, they found a charcoal fire ready, with some fish already on it, and some bread as well.
10 Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Tabweretsa nsomba zina mwagwirazo.”
“Bring some of the fish which you have just caught,” said Jesus.
11 Simoni Petro anakwera mʼbwato ndi kukokera khoka ku gombe, lodzaza ndi nsomba zikuluzikulu 153, komabe ndi nsomba zochuluka chotero khoka silinangʼambike.
So Simon Peter got into the boat and hauled the net ashore full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three of them; and yet, although there were so many, the net had not been torn.
12 Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Bwerani mudzalandire chakudya chammawa.” Palibe mmodzi wa ophunzira anayesa kumufunsa Iye, “Kodi ndinu ndani?” Iwo anadziwa kuti anali Ambuye.
And Jesus said to them: “Come and breakfast.” Not one of the disciples ventured to ask him who he was, knowing that it was the Master.
13 Yesu anabwera, natenga buledi ndikuwapatsa iwo, ndipo anachita chimodzimodzi ndi nsomba.
Jesus went and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish too.
14 Aka kanali tsopano kachitatu Yesu akuonekera kwa ophunzira ake Iye ataukitsidwa kwa akufa.
This was the third time that Jesus showed himself to the disciples after he had risen from the dead.
15 Iwo atamaliza kudya chakudya chammawa, Yesu anati kwa Simoni Petro, “Simoni, mwana wa Yohane, kodi umandikonda Ine kuposa mmene amandikondera awa?” Iye anati, “Inde Ambuye, Inu mukudziwa kuti Ine ndimakukondani.” Yesu anati, “Samala ana ankhosa anga.”
When breakfast was over, Jesus said to Simon Peter: “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than the others?” “Yes, Master,” he answered, “you know that I am your friend.” “Feed my lambs,” said Jesus.
16 Yesu anatinso, “Simoni, mwana wa Yohane, kodi umandikondadi Ine?” Iye anayankha kuti, “Inde, Ambuye, Inu mukudziwa kuti ine ndimakukondani.” Yesu anati, “Weta nkhosa zanga.”
Then, a second time, Jesus asked: “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Master,” he answered, “you know that I am your friend.” “Tend my sheep,” said Jesus.
17 Yesu anati kwa iye kachitatu, “Simoni, mwana wa Yohane, kodi umandikondadi Ine?” Petro anadzimvera chisoni chifukwa Yesu anamufunsa kachitatu kuti, “Kodi umandikonda Ine?” Iye anati, “Ambuye, Inu mudziwa zinthu zonse. Inu mukudziwa kuti Ine ndimakukondani.” Yesu anati, “Dyetsa nkhosa zanga.
The third time, Jesus said to him: “Simon, son of John, are you my friend?” Peter was hurt at his third question being ‘Are you my friend?’; and exclaimed: “Master, you know everything! You can tell that I am your friend.” “Feed my sheep,” said Jesus.
18 Zoonadi, Ine ndikukuwuza kuti uli wamngʼono unkadziveka wekha lamba ndi kupita kumene unkafuna; koma ukadzakalamba udzatambasula manja ako ndipo wina wake adzakuveka ndikukutsogolera kupita kumene sukufuna kupita.”
“In truth I tell you,” he continued, “when you were young, you used to put on your own girdle, and walk wherever you wished; but, when you have grown old, you will have to stretch out your hands, while some one else puts on your girdle, and takes you where you do not wish.”
19 Yesu ananena izi kumuzindikiritsa mtundu wa imfa imene Petro adzalemekezera nayo Mulungu. Kenaka Iye anati kwa Petro, “Nditsate Ine!”
Jesus said this to show the death by which Peter was to honour God, and then he added: “Follow me.”
20 Petro anatembenuka ndi kuona kuti ophunzira amene Yesu amamukonda amawatsatira iwo. (Uyu ndi amene anatsamira pachifuwa cha Yesu pa chakudya chamadzulo ndipo iye anati, “Ambuye, kodi ndi ndani amene adzakuperekani Inu?”
Peter turned round, and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following — the one who at the supper leant back on the Master’s shoulder, and asked him who it was that would betray him.
21 Petro atamuona iye, anafunsa kuti, “Ambuye, nanga uyu?”
Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus: “Master, what about this man?”
22 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Ine nditafuna kuti akhalebe ndi moyo mpaka nditabweranso, zikukukhudza bwanji zimenezo? Iwe uyenera kunditsata Ine.”
“If it is my will that he should wait till I come,” answered Jesus, “what has that to do with you? Follow me yourself.”
23 Chifukwa cha ichi mbiri inafala pakati pa abale kuti wophunzira uyu sadzafa. Koma Yesu sananene kuti iye sadzafa. Iye anati, “Ine nditafuna kuti akhalebe ndi moyo mpaka nditabweranso, zikukukhudza bwanji zimenezo?”
So the report spread among the Brethren that that disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say that he was not to die, but said “If it is my will that he should wait till I come, what has that to do with you?”
24 Uyu ndi wophunzira amene akuchitira umboni ndipo ndi amene analemba. Ife tidziwa kuti umboni wake ndi woona.
It is this disciple who states these things, and who recorded them; and we know that his statement is true.
25 Koma palinso zina zambiri zimene Yesu anachita. Zikanalembedwa zonsezi, ndikhulupirira dziko lonse lapansi likanasowa malo osungirako mabuku onse amene akanalembedwa.
There are many other things which Jesus did; but, if every one of them were to be recorded in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not hold the books that would be written.
