Yohane 17
1 Yesu atatha kunena izi, anayangʼana kumwamba ndipo anapemphera: “Atate, nthawi yafika. Lemekezani Mwana wanu, kuti Mwana wanuyo akulemekezeni Inu.
After saying these things, Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify yoʋr Son so that yoʋr Son may also glorify yoʋ,
2 Pakuti Inu munamupatsa Iye ulamuliro pa anthu onse kuti apereke moyo wosatha kwa onse amene mwamupatsa. (aiōnios g166)
just as yoʋ have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to everyone yoʋ have given him. (aiōnios g166)
3 Tsono moyo wosathawo ndi uwu: Iwo akudziweni Inu, Mulungu yekhayo woona, ndi Yesu Khristu, amene Inu mwamutuma. (aiōnios g166)
This is eternal life, that they may know yoʋ, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom yoʋ have sent. (aiōnios g166)
4 Ine ndabweretsa ulemerero wanu pa dziko pamene ndamaliza ntchito imene munandipatsa kuti ndi igwire.
I have glorified yoʋ on earth. I have completed the work yoʋ have given me to do.
5 Ndipo tsopano, Atate, ndilemekezeni Ine pamaso panu ndi ulemerero uja umene ndinali nawo kwa Inu dziko lapansi lisanayambe.
And now, Father, glorify me in yoʋr presence with the glory I had with yoʋ before the world existed.
6 “Ine ndawadziwitsa za Inu anthu amene munandipatsa mʼdziko lapansi. Iwo anali anu. Inu munawapereka kwa Ine ndipo amvera mawu anu.
“I have revealed yoʋr name to the people yoʋ have given me out of the world. They were yoʋrs; yoʋ gave them to me, and they have kept yoʋr word.
7 Tsopano akudziwa kuti zonse zimene munandipatsa nʼzochokera kwa Inu.
They now know that everything yoʋ have given me is from yoʋ.
8 Pakuti Ine ndiwapatsa mawu amene Inu munandipatsa ndipo awalandira. Iwo akudziwa ndithu kuti Ine ndinachokera kwa Inu, ndipo akukhulupirira kuti Inu ndiye amene munandituma Ine.
For I have given them the words that yoʋ gave me, and they have received them and truly know that I came from yoʋ. They have also come to believe that yoʋ sent me.
9 Ine ndikuwapempherera. Ine sindikupempherera dziko lapansi, koma anthu amene Inu mwandipatsa, pakuti ndi anu.
I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those yoʋ have given me, for they are yoʋrs.
10 Zonse zimene Ine ndili nazo ndi zanu, ndipo zonse zimene Inu muli nazo ndi zanga. Choncho Ine ndalemekezedwa mwa iwowo.
All I have is yoʋrs, and all yoʋ have is mine, and I have been glorified in them.
11 Ine sindikukhalanso mʼdziko lapansi nthawi yayitali, koma iwo akanali mʼdziko lapansi. Ine ndikubwera kwa Inu. Atate Woyera, atetezeni ndi mphamvu za dzina lanu. Dzina limene munandipatsa Ine, kuti iwo akhale amodzi monga Ife tili amodzi.
I will no longer remain in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to yoʋ. Holy Father, keep them in yoʋr name, which yoʋ have given me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.
12 Pamene ndinali nawo, ndinawateteza ndi kuwasunga mosamala mʼdzina limene munandipatsa. Palibe ndi mmodzi yemwe amene anatayika kupatula yekhayo amene anayenera kuwonongeka kuti malemba akwaniritsidwe.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them safe by the power of yoʋr name. I have guarded those yoʋ have given me, and not one of them has perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 “Tsopano ndikubwera kwa Inu. Ndikunena izi ndikanali mʼdziko lapansi, kuti iwo akhale ndi muyeso wodzaza wachimwemwe changa mʼkati mwawo.
But now I am coming to yoʋ, and I speak these things in the world so that they may have my joy made full within them.
14 Ine ndawapatsa mawu anu ndipo dziko lapansi likudana nawo, pakuti sali a dziko lapansi monga Ine sindilinso wa dziko lapansi.
I have given them yoʋr word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 Sindikupempha kuti muwachotse mʼdziko lapansi koma kuti muwateteze kwa woyipayo.
I do not ask yoʋ to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.
16 Iwo si a dziko lapansi, monga Ine sindilinso wa dziko lapansi.
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 Ayeretseni ndi choonadi chanu. Mawu anu ndiye choonadi.
Sanctify them by yoʋr truth; yoʋr word is truth.
18 Monga Inu munandituma Ine mʼdziko lapansi, Inenso ndikuwatuma mʼdziko lapansi.
Just as yoʋ have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
19 Chifukwa cha iwowa Ine ndikudziyeretsa, kuti iwo ayeretsedwenso kwenikweni.
For their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they too may be sanctified by the truth.
20 “Ine sindikupempherera iwo okhawa, komanso amene adzandikhulupirira chifukwa cha uthenga wawo.
“I do not ask on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their word,
21 Ndikuwapempherera kuti onsewa akhale amodzi. Monga Inu Atate muli mwa Ine ndi Ine mwa Inu, iwonso akhale mwa Ife kuti dziko lapansi likhulupirire kuti Inu munandituma Ine.
that they may all be one, just as yoʋ, Father, are in me, and I am in yoʋ, that they also may be one in us, so that the world may believe that yoʋ sent me.
22 Ine ndawapatsa ulemerero umene munandipatsa Ine, kuti akhale amodzi monga Ife tili amodzi.
I have given them the glory that yoʋ gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one,
23 Ine ndikhale mwa iwo ndipo Inu mwa Ine kuti umodzi wawo ukhale wangwiro. Choncho dziko lapansi lidzadziwa kuti Inu munandituma Ine ndipo Inu mwawakonda iwowa monga momwe Inu munandikondera Ine.
I in them and yoʋ in me, so that they may be perfected into one, and so that the world may know that yoʋ have sent me and have loved them just as yoʋ have loved me.
24 “Atate, Ine ndikufuna kuti anthu amene mwandipatsa Ine adzakhale ndi Ine kumene kuli Ine, ndi kuona ulemerero wanga, ulemerero umene munandipatsa chifukwa Inu munandikonda dziko lapansi lisanalengedwe.
Father, I want those yoʋ have given me to be with me where I am, so that they may see my glory, which yoʋ gave me because yoʋ loved me before the foundation of the world.
25 “Atate wolungama, ngakhale kuti dziko lapansi silikudziwani Inu, Ine ndimakudziwani, ndipo iwo amadziwa kuti Inu munandituma Ine.
Righteous Father, though the world does not know yoʋ, I know yoʋ, and these men know that yoʋ have sent me.
26 Ine ndawadziwitsa dzina lanu, ndipo ndidzapitiriza kuwadziwitsa dzina lanulo, kuti chikondi chomwe munandikonda nacho chikhale mwa iwo, ndipo Ine mwa iwo.”
I have made yoʋr name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which yoʋ have loved me may be in them, and so that I may be in them.”
