< Yohane 10 >
1 “Zoonadi, Ine ndikukuwuzani inu Afarisi, kuti munthu amene salowera pa khomo mʼkhola la nkhosa, koma amalowera pena pake ndi wakuba ndi wachifwamba.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the gate but climbs in by another way is a thief and a robber.
2 Munthu amene amalowera pa khomo ndi mʼbusa wankhosazo.
But he who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 Mlonda amamutsekulira khomo, ndipo nkhosa zimamvera mawu ake. Iye amaziyitana mayina nkhosa zakezo, nazitulutsa.
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 Akazitulutsa nkhosa zake zonse, iye amazitsogolera, ndipo nkhosa zakezo zimamutsata chifukwa zimadziwa mawu ake.
When he has brought out his own sheep, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice.
5 Koma nkhosazo sizidzatsatira mlendo. Izo zidzamuthawa chifukwa sizizindikira mawu a mlendo.”
They will certainly not follow a stranger, but will flee from him because they do not recognize the voice of strangers.”
6 Yesu ananena mawu ophiphiritsawa, koma Afarisi sanazindikire zimene ankawawuza.
Jesus spoke to them with this figure of speech, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.
7 Choncho Yesu anatinso, “Zoonadi, Ine ndikukuwuzani kuti Ine ndine khomo la nkhosa.
So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep.
8 Onse amene anadza ndisanabwere Ine ndi akuba ndi achifwamba, ndipo nkhosa sizinawamvere.
All who came previously are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
9 Ine ndine khomo, aliyense amene alowa kudzera mwa Ine adzapulumuka. Iye adzalowa ndi kutuluka ndi kupeza msipu.
I am the gate; if anyone enters through me, he will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.
10 Mbala sibwera chabe koma kuti idzabe, kupha ndi kuwononga. Ine ndabwera kuti iwo akhale ndi moyo, ndi kukhala nawo wochuluka.
The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
11 “Ine ndine Mʼbusa wabwino. Mʼbusa wabwino amataya moyo wake chifukwa cha nkhosa zake.
I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
12 Wantchito ndi mʼbusa amene nkhosazo si zake. Choncho, pamene aona mmbulu ukubwera, iye amazisiya nkhosazo ndi kuthawa. Ndipo mmbulu umagwira nkhosazo ndikuzibalalitsa.
But the hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them.
13 Munthuyo amathawa chifukwa ndi wantchito ndipo sasamalira chilichonse cha nkhosazo.
The hired hand flees, for he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep.
14 “Ine ndine mʼbusa wabwino. Ine ndimazidziwa nkhosa zanga ndipo nkhosa zangazo zimandidziwa,
I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me,
15 monga momwe Atate amandidziwa Ine, ndiponso Ine kudziwira Atatewo. Ndimapereka moyo wanga chifukwa cha nkhosa.
even as the Father knows me and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 Ine ndili ndi nkhosa zina zimene sizili za gulu ili. Ine ndiyenera kuzibweretsanso. Izonso zidzamvera mawu anga, ndipo zidzakhala gulu limodzi ndi mʼbusa mmodzi.
I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will hear my voice. And there will be one flock with one shepherd.
17 Nʼchifukwa chake Atate anga amandikonda, popeza Ine ndikupereka moyo wanga kuti ndiwutengenso.
This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take it up again.
18 Palibe amene angawuchotse mwa Ine, koma ndikuwupereka mwakufuna kwanga. Ine ndili ndi ulamuliro wa kuwupereka ndi ulamuliro wakuwutenganso. Lamulo ili ndinalandira kwa Atate anga.”
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. I received this commandment from my Father.”
19 Pa mawu awa Ayuda anagawikananso.
At these words there was again a division among the Jews.
20 Ambiri a iwo anati, “Iye ndi wogwidwa ndi ziwanda ndi wamisala. Chifukwa chiyani mukumvera Iye?”
Many of them were saying, “He has a demon and is out of his mind; why do you listen to him?”
21 Koma ena anati, “Awa si mawu a munthu wogwidwa ndi ziwanda. Kodi ziwanda zingathe bwanji kutsekula maso a wosaona?”
Others were saying, “These are not the words of a man possessed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”
22 Ku Yerusalemu kunali chikondwerero chokumbukira kupatulidwa kwa Nyumba ya Mulungu. Inali nthawi yozizira,
Now it was the Feast of the Dedication in Jerusalem. It was winter,
23 ndipo Yesu ankayenda mʼbwalo la Nyumbayo ku malo a Solomoni.
and Jesus was walking in the temple courts, in Solomon's Portico.
24 Ayuda anamuzungulira Iye akunena kuti, “Kodi iwe udzazunguza malingaliro athu mpaka liti? Ngati iwe ndi Khristu, tiwuze momveka.”
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, “How long are yoʋ going to keep us in suspense? If yoʋ are the Christ, tell us plainly.”
25 Yesu anayankha kuti, “Ine ndimakuwuzani, koma inu simukhulupirira. Ntchito zimene ndikuchita mʼdzina la Atate anga zikundichitira umboni,
Jesus answered them, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name testify about me,
26 koma inu simukhulupirira chifukwa simuli a gulu lankhosa zanga.
but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep, just as I told you.
27 Nkhosa zanga zimamva mawu anga, Ine ndimazidziwa, ndipo zimanditsata Ine.
My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
28 Ine ndimazipatsa moyo wosatha ndipo sizidzawonongeka. Palibe amene adzazikwatula mʼdzanja langa. (aiōn , aiōnios )
I give them eternal life, and they will certainly never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. (aiōn , aiōnios )
29 Atate anga, amene anandipatsa Ine, ndi akulu kuposa onse. Palibe amene angazikwatule mʼdzanja la Atate anga.
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand.
30 Ine ndi Atate ndife amodzi.”
The Father and I are one.”
31 Ayuda anatolanso miyala kuti amugende Iye,
Then the Jews picked up stones again to stone him.
32 koma Yesu anawawuza kuti, “Ine ndakuonetsani zinthu zambiri zabwino zodabwitsa kuchokera kwa Atate. Nʼchifukwa chiti mwa izi chimene mukundigendera?”
In response Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father; for which of these works are you going to stone me?”
33 Ayuda anayankha kuti, “Ife sitikukugenda chifukwa cha izi, koma popeza ukunyoza Mulungu, chifukwa iwe, munthu wamba, ukuti ndiwe Mulungu.”
The Jews answered him, “We are not going to stone yoʋ for any good work, but for blasphemy, because yoʋ, who are just a man, make yoʋrself out to be God.”
34 Yesu anawayankha kuti, “Kodi sizinalembedwa mʼmalamulo anu kuti, ‘Ine ndanena kuti ndinu milungu?’
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
35 Ngati anawatcha milungu anthu amene analandira mawu a Mulungu, pajatu Malemba sangasweke,
If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),
36 nanga bwanji uyu amene Atate anamuyika padera monga wake weniweni ndi kumutuma ku dziko lapansi? Nanga ndi chifukwa chiyani mukundinena Ine kuti ndikuchita chipongwe? Kodi nʼchifukwa choti ndanena kuti, ‘Ine ndine Mwana wa Mulungu?’
do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, ‘Yoʋ are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
37 Musandikhulupirire Ine ngati sindichita ntchito za Atate anga.
If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me.
38 Koma ngati Ine ndikuchita zimenezi, ngakhale kuti simundikhulupirira, khulupirirani ntchito zodabwitsazo, ndipo mudziwe ndi kuzindikira kuti Atate ali mwa Ine, ndiponso Ine ndili mwa Atate.”
But if I do them, even if you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in him.”
39 Iwo anafuna kumugwiranso koma anawapulumuka mʼmanja mwawo.
Once again they tried to arrest him, but he eluded their grasp.
40 Kenaka Yesu anabwereranso kutsidya la mtsinje wa Yorodani kumalo kumene Yohane ankabatiza mʼmasiku akale. Iye anakhala kumeneko
Then Jesus went away again to the other side of the Jordan, to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and he stayed there.
41 ndipo anthu ambiri anabwera kwa Iye. Iwo anati, “Ngakhale kuti Yohane sanachite chizindikiro chodabwitsa, zonse zimene Yohane ananena za munthu uyu zinali zoona.”
Many came to him and were saying, “John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.”
42 Ndipo pamalo amenewo ambiri anakhulupirira Yesu.
And many of the people there believed in Jesus.
