Yobu 8
1 Pamenepo Bilidadi wa ku Suki anayankha kuti,
Then Baldad the Sauchite answered, and said,
2 “Kodi udzakhala ukuyankhula zoterezi mpaka liti? Mawu ako ali ngati mphepo yamkuntho.
How long wilt thou speak these things, [how long shall] the breath of thy mouth [be] abundant in words?
3 Kodi Mulungu amapotoza chiweruzo cholungama? Kodi Wamphamvuzonse amalephera kuchita zachilungamo?
Will the Lord be unjust when he judges; or will he that has made all things pervert justice?
4 Pamene ana ako anamuchimwira Mulungu, Iye anawapereka kuti alangidwe chifukwa cha tchimo lawo.
If thy sons have sinned before him, he has cast them away because of their transgression.
5 Koma utayangʼana kwa Mulungu, ndi kudandaulira Wamphamvuzonse,
But be thou early in prayer to the Lord Almighty.
6 ngati uli wangwiro ndi wolungama mtima ngakhale tsopano Iye adzachitapo kanthu mʼmalo mwako ndipo adzakubwezeretsa pa malo ako oyenera.
If thou art pure and true, he will hearken to thy supplication, and will restore to thee the habitation of righteousness.
7 Chiyambi chako chidzaoneka ngati chochepa koma chimaliziro chako chidzakhala chopambana.
Though then thy beginning should be small, yet thy end should be unspeakably great.
8 “Funsa kwa anthu amvulazakale ndipo upeze zimene makolo awo anaziphunzira
For ask of the former generation, and search diligently among the race of [our] fathers:
9 pakuti ife ndife ana adzulodzuloli ndipo sitidziwa chilichonse, ndipo moyo wathu pa dziko lapansi uli ngati chithunzithunzi.
(for we are of yesterday, and know nothing; for our life upon the earth is a shadow: )
10 Kodi iwo sadzakulangiza ndi kukufotokozera? Kodi sadzakuwuza mawu ochokera pa zimene amazidziwa?
shall not these teach thee, and report [to thee], and bring out words from [their] heart?
11 Kodi bango nʼkumera pa nthaka yopanda chinyontho? Nanga mawango nʼkukula bwino popanda madzi?
Does the rush flourish without water, or shall the flag grow up without moisture?
12 Popanda madzi, zimenezi zimafota zikanali zaziwisi ndi zosadula; zimawuma msangamsanga kuposa bango.
When it is yet on the root, and [though] it has not been cut down, does not any herb wither before it has received moisture?
13 Ndimo mmene amachitira anthu onse amene amayiwala Mulungu; ndi mmene chiyembekezo cha munthu wosapembedza Mulungu chimathera.
Thus then shall be the end of all that forget the Lord: for the hope of the ungodly shall perish.
14 Kulimba mtima kwake kumafowoka; zimene iye amadalira zili ngati ukonde wa kangawude.
For his house shall be without inhabitants, and his tent shall prove a spider's web.
15 Iye amatsamira ukonde wake, koma umaduka; amawugwiritsitsa koma sulimba.
If he should prop up his house, it shall not stand: and when he has taken hold of it, it shall not remain.
16 Munthu woyipayo ali ngati chomera chothiriridwa bwino chimene chili pa dzuwa, nthambi zake zimatambalala pa munda wake;
For it is moist under the sun, and his branch shall come forth out of his dung-heap.
17 mizu yake imayanga pa mulu wa miyala ndi kufunafuna malo woti izikike pa miyalapo.
He lies down upon a gathering of stones, and shall live in the mist of flints.
18 Koma pamene yachotsedwa pamalo pakepo, pamalopo pamakana chomeracho ndi kuti, ‘Ine sindinakuonepo.’
If [God] should destroy [him], his place shall deny him. Hast thou not seen such things,
19 Ndithudi chomeracho chimafota, ndipo pa nthakapo pamatuluka zomera zina.
that such is the overthrow of the ungodly? and out of the earth another shall grow.
20 “Ndithudi, Mulungu sakana munthu amene alibe cholakwa kapena kulimbikitsa anthu ochita zoyipa.
For the Lord will by no means reject the harmless man; but he will not receive any gift of the ungodly.
21 Iye adzadzaza mʼkamwa mwako ndi phwete ndipo milomo yako idzafuwula ndi chimwemwe.
But he will fill with laughter the mouth of the sincere, and their lips with thanksgiving.
22 Adani ako adzachita manyazi, ndipo malo okhalamo anthu oyipa sadzaonekanso.”
But their adversaries shall clothe themselves with shame; and the habitation of the ungodly shall perish.
