< Yobu 40 >

1 Yehova anati kwa Yobu:
And Yahweh responded to Job, and said: —
2 “Kodi iwe ufuna kukangana ndi Wamphamvuzonse? Iwe amene unatsutsana ndi Mulungu umuyankhe Iyeyo!”
Shall a reprover contend, with the Almighty? He that disputeth with GOD, let him answer it!
3 Pamenepo Yobu anayankha Yehova:
Then Job responded to Yahweh, and said: —
4 “Ine sindili kanthu konse, kodi ndingathe kukuyankhani chiyani? Ndagwira pakamwa panga.
Lo! I am of no account, what shall I reply to thee? My hand, have I laid on my mouth:
5 Ndinayankhula kamodzi, koma pano ndilibe yankho, ndinayankha kawiri, koma sindiwonjezeranso mawu ena.”
Once, have I spoken, but I will not proceed, yea twice, but I will not add.
6 Ndipo Yehova anayankha Yobu mʼkamvuluvulu kuti,
So then Yahweh responded to Job, out of a storm, and said: —
7 “Tsopano vala dzilimbe ngati mwamuna; ndikufunsa mafunso ndipo iwe undiyankhe.
Gird, I pray thee—as a strong man—thy loins, I will ask thee, and inform thou me.
8 “Kodi iwe unganyoze chiweruzo changa cholungama? Kodi ungandidzudzule kuti iweyo ukhale wolungama?
Wilt thou even frustrate my justice? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest appear right?
9 Kodi uli ndi dzanja monga la Mulungu, ndipo mawu ako angagunde ngati mphenzi monga a Mulungu?
But if, an arm like GOD, thou hast, and, with a voice like his, thou canst thunder,
10 Ngati zili choncho udzikometsere ndi ulemerero ndi kukongola, ndipo udziveke ulemu ndi ulemerero waufumu.
Deck thyself, I pray thee, with majesty and grandeur, Yea, with dignity and splendour, thou shalt clothe thyself;
11 Tsanula ukali wako wosefukirawo, uyangʼane aliyense wodzikuza ndipo umuchepetse,
Pour out thy transports of anger, and look on every one who is high, and lay him low;
12 Uyangʼane aliyense wodzikweza ndipo umutsitse, uwapondereze oyipa onse pamalo pomwe alilipo.
Look on every one who is high, and humble him, yea tread down the lawless, on the spot:
13 Onsewo uwakwirire pamodzi mfumbi; ukulunge nkhope zawo mʼmanda.
Hide them in the dust all together, Their faces, bind thou in darkness;
14 Ukatero Ine ndidzakuvomereza kuti dzanja lako lamanja lakupulumutsadi.
And, even I myself, will praise thee, in that thine own right hand can bring thee salvation.
15 “Taganiza za mvuwu, imene ndinayipanga monga momwe ndinapangira iwe, ndipo imadya udzu ngati ngʼombe.
Behold, I pray thee, the Hippopotamus, which I made with thee, Grass—like the ox, he eateth;
16 Mphamvu zake ndi zazikulu kwambiri, thupi lake ndi lanyonga kwambiri!
Behold, I pray thee, his strength in his loins, and his force, in the muscles of his belly;
17 Mchira wake umayima tolotolo ngati mtengo wamkungudza; mitsempha ya ntchafu zake ndi yogwirana bwino.
He bendeth down his tail like a cedar, the sinews of his thighs, are twisted together;
18 Mafupa ake ali ngati mapayipi amkuwa, nthiti zake zili ngati mipiringidzo yachitsulo.
His bones, are barrels of bronze, his frame, is like hammered bars of iron:
19 Mvuwuyo ndi yayikulu mwa zolengedwa za Mulungu, komatu mlengi wake amatha kuyiopseza ndi lupanga lake.
He, is the beginning of the ways of GOD, Let his maker, present him his sword:
20 Imapeza chakudya chake ku mtunda ndipo nyama zakuthengo zonse zimasewera pambali pake.
Surely the mountains bring, produce, to him, where, all the wild beasts of the field, do play;
21 Imagona pa tsinde pa zitsamba za mipeta, imabisala mʼbango ndiponso pa thawale.
Under the lotus-trees, he lieth down, in a covert of reed and swamp;
22 Imaphimbika ndi mthunzi wazitsamba za mipeta; imazunguliridwa ndi misondozi ya mu mtsinje.
The lotus-trees cover him with their shade, the willows of the torrent-bed compass him about;
23 Madzi a mu mtsinje akakokoma, sichita mantha, iyo sitekeseka, ngakhale madzi a mu Yorodani afike mʼkhosi mwake.
Lo! the river becometh insolent—he is not alarmed! He is confident, though a Jordan burst forth to his mouth:
24 Kodi alipo amene angathe kukola mvuwu ndi mbedza kapena kuyikola mu msampha?
Before his eyes, shall he be caught? With a hook, can one pierce his nose?
