< Yobu 26 >
1 Pamenepo Yobu anayankha kuti,
Then responded Job, and said: —
2 “Wamuthandizadi munthu wopanda mphamvu! Walimbitsadi dzanja la munthu wofowoka!
How hast thou given help to one of no-strength? given victory to an arm of no-power?
3 Wapereka malangizo kwa munthu amene alibe nzeru! Ndipotu waonetsadi nzeru zochuluka!
How hast thou given counsel to one of no-wisdom? or, effective wisdom, abundantly made known?
4 Kodi wakuthandiza ndani kuti uyankhule mawu awa? Ndipo ndi mzimu wa yani umene unayankhula pakamwa pako?
Whom hast thou taught speech? Whose inspiration hath come from thee?
5 “Mizimu ya anthu akufa ikunjenjemera pansi pa madzi, ndi zonse zokhala mʼmadzimo.
The shades, tremble, beneath the waters and their inhabitants;
6 Dziko la anthu akufa ndi lapululu pamaso pa Mulungu; chiwonongeko ndi chosaphimbidwa. (Sheol )
Naked is hades before him, and there is no covering to destruction; (Sheol )
7 Mulungu anayala thambo la kumpoto pa phompho; Iye anakoloweka dziko lapansi mʼmalo mwake pamene panali popanda nʼkanthu komwe.
Who stretcheth out the north over emptiness, hangeth the earth upon nothingness;
8 Amasunga madzi ambiri mʼmitambo yake, koma mitamboyo siphulika chifukwa cha kulemera kwa madziwo.
Who bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent beneath them;
9 Iye amaphimba mwezi wowala, amawuphimba ndi mitambo yake.
Who shutteth-in the face of the throne, he spreadeth over it his cloud;
10 Mulungu anawalembera madzi malire wonga uta, kukhala malire pakati pa kuwunika ndi mdima.
A, boundary, hath he encircled on the face of the waters, as far as where light ends in darkness;
11 Mizati yochirikiza mitambo yakumwamba imanjenjemera, ndi kudabwa pa kudzudzula kwake.
The pillars of the heavens, are shaken, and are terrified at his rebuke:
12 Ndi mphamvu zake anatontholetsa nyanja; ndi nzeru zake anakantha chirombo cha mʼmadzi chija chotchedwa Rahabe.
By his strength, hath he excited the sea, and, by his skill, hath he shattered the Crocodile:
13 Ndi mpweya wake anayeretsa zamumlengalenga, dzanja lake linapha chinjoka chothawa chija.
By his spirit, hath he arched the heavens, His hand hath pierced the fleeing serpent.
14 Zimenezi ndi pangʼono chabe mwa ntchito yake; tingomva pangʼono za Iye ngati kunongʼona! Kodi ndani angathe kudziwa kukula kwa mphamvu zake?”
Lo! these, are the fringes of his way, and what a whisper of a word hath been heard of him! But, the thunder of his might, who could understand?
