< Yobu 12 >
1 Pamenepo Yobu anayankha kuti,
Then responded Job, and said: —
2 “Ndithudi inuyo ndinu anthu ndipo nzeru zanu zidzafera nanu pamodzi!
Of a truth, ye, are the people, and, with you, wisdom, will die.
3 Koma inenso ndili nazo nzeru ngati inu; ineyo sindine munthu wamba kwa inu. Ndani amene sadziwa zonse zimene mwanenazi?
I also, have a mind like you, I, fall not short, of you, But who hath not such things as these?
4 “Ndasanduka chinthu choseketsa kwa abwenzi anga, ngakhale ndinkapemphera kwa Mulungu ndipo Iye ankandiyankha. Ine ndasanduka chinthu chongoseketsa, ngakhale ndili wolungama ndi wosalakwa!
A laughing-stock to one’s neighbour, do I become, one who hath called upon GOD and he hath answered him! A laughing-stock—a righteous man without blame!
5 Anthu amene ali pabwino amanyoza anzawo amene ali pa tsoka. Tsokalo limagwa pa amene wayamba kale kugwa.
For ruin, there is contempt, in the thought of the man at ease, —ready, for such as are of faltering foot!
6 Nyumba za anthu achifwamba zimakhala pa mtendere, ndipo anthu amene amaputa Mulungu amakhala pabwino, amene amanyamula milungu yawo mʼmanja.
At peace are the tents that belong to the spoilers, and there is security to them who provoke GOD, To him who bringeth a god in his hand.
7 “Koma funsa nyama zakuthengo ndipo zidzakuphunzitsa, kapena mbalame zamumlengalenga ndipo zidzakuwuza;
But, in very deed, ask, I pray thee, the beasts, and they will teach thee, and the bird of the heavens, and it will tell thee;
8 kapena uyankhule ndi dziko lapansi ndipo lidzakuphunzitsa, kapena ulole nsomba zamʼnyanja kuti zikufotokozere.
Or address the earth, and it will teach thee, and the fishes of the sea, will recount it to thee:
9 Kodi mwa zonsezi ndi chiti chimene sichidziwa kuti lachita zimenezi ndi dzanja la Yehova?
Who knoweth not, among all these, that, the hand of Yahweh, hath done this?
10 Mʼmanja mwake ndi mʼmene muli moyo wa cholengedwa chilichonse, ndiponso moyo wa anthu a mitundu yonse.
In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all the flesh of men.
11 Kodi khutu sindiye limene limamva mawu monga mmene lilime limalawira chakudya?
Doth not, the ear, try, words? even as, the palate, tasteth for itself, food?
12 Kodi nzeru sipezeka pakati pa anthu okalamba? Kodi moyo wautali sumabweretsa nzeru zomvetsa zinthu?
In the Ancient, is wisdom, and [in] Length of Days, understanding:
13 “Kwa Mulungu ndiye kuli nzeru ndi mphamvu; uphungu ndi kumvetsa zinthu ndi zake.
With Him, are wisdom and strength, to Him, pertain counsel and understanding.
14 Chimene Iye wapasula palibe angachimangenso. Akatsekera munthu mʼndende palibe angamutulutse.
Lo! He pulleth down, and it cannot be built, He closeth up over a man, and it cannot be opened:
15 Iyeyo akamanga mvula dziko limawuma; akamasula mvulayo, madzi amasefukira pa dziko.
Lo! He holdeth back the waters, and they dry up, or sendeth them out, and they transform the earth:
16 Kwa Iye kuli mphamvu ndi kupambana; munthu wopusitsidwa ndiponso wopusitsa onse ali mu ulamuliro wake.
With Him, is strength and effective wisdom, to Him, belong he that erreth, and he that causeth to err.
17 Iye amalanda aphungu nzeru zawo ndipo amapusitsa oweruza.
Who leadeth away counsellors [as] a spoil, and, judges, He befooleth:
18 Iye amachotsa zingwe zimene mafumu anawamanga nazo ndipo amawamanga lamba mʼchiwuno mwawo.
The fetters of kings, He looseth, or hath bound a slave’s waistcloth about their loins:
19 Iye amasocheretsa ansembe atawalanda nzeru zawo ndipo amagonjetsa anthu amphamvu amene ndi okhazikika.
Who leadeth away priests [as] a spoil, and, men firmly seated, He overturneth:
20 Iye amakhalitsa chete aphungu odalirika ndipo amalanda chidziwitso cha anthu akuluakulu.
Setting aside the speech of the trusty, and, the discernment of elders, He taketh away:
21 Iye amanyoza anthu otchuka ndipo anthu anyonga amawatha mphamvu.
Pouring contempt upon nobles, and, the girdle of the mighty, hath He loosed:
22 Iye amatulutsira poyera zinthu zozama za mu mdima ndipo mdima wandiweyaniwo amawusandutsa kuwala.
Laying open deep things, out of darkness, and bringing out to light, the death-shade:
23 Iye amakuza mitundu ya anthu ndipo amayiwononganso; amachulukitsa mitundu ya anthu ndipo amayimwazanso.
Who giveth greatness to nations, or destroyeth them, Who spreadeth out nations, or leadeth them into exile:
24 Iye amalanda nzeru za atsogoleri a dziko lapansi; amawayendetsa mʼthengo mopanda njira.
Who taketh away the sense of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and hath caused them to wander in a pathless waste:
25 Iwo amafufuzafufuza njira mu mdima wopanda chowunikira; Iye amawayendetsa dzandidzandi ngati oledzera.
They grope about in the dark, having no light, and He hath made them to reel, like a drunken man.
