Genesis 5
1 Ndondomeko ya mibado ya Adamu ndi iyi: Pamene Mulungu analenga munthu, anamulenga mʼchifaniziro cha Mulungu.
This [is] the genealogy of men in the day in which God made Adam; in the image of God he made him:
2 Iye analenga mwamuna ndi mkazi. Anawadalitsa ndipo anawatcha “Munthu.”
male and female he made them, and blessed them; and he called his name Adam, in the day in which he made them.
3 Pamene Adamu anali ndi zaka 130, anabereka mwana wamwamuna wofanana naye ndipo anamutcha Seti.
And Adam lived two hundred and thirty years, and begot [a son] after his [own] form, and after his [own] image, and he called his name Seth.
4 Atabadwa Seti, Adamu anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 800 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And the days of Adam, which he lived after his begetting Seth, were seven hundred years; and he begot sons and daughters.
5 Zaka zonse za Adamu zinali 930 ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Adam which he lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6 Pamene Seti anali ndi zaka 105, anabereka Enosi.
Now Seth lived two hundred and five years, and begot Enos.
7 Atabadwa Enosi, Seti anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 807 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Seth lived after his begetting Enos, seven hundred and seven years, and he begot sons and daughters.
8 Zaka zonse za Seti zinali 912 ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9 Pamene Enosi anali ndi zaka 90, anabereka Kenani.
And Enos lived an hundred and ninety years, and begot Cainan.
10 Atabadwa Kenani, Enosi anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 815 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Enos lived after his begetting Cainan, seven hundred and fifteen years, and he begot sons and daughters.
11 Zaka zonse za Enosi pamodzi zinali 905 ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12 Pamene Kenani anali ndi zaka 70, anabereka Mahalaleli.
And Cainan lived an hundred and seventy years, and he begot Maleleel.
13 Atabadwa Mahalaleli, Kenani anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 840 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Cainan lived after his begetting Maleleel, seven hundred and forty years, and he begot sons and daughters.
14 Zaka zonse za Kenani zinali 910, ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15 Pamene Mahalaleli anali ndi zaka 65, anabereka Yaredi.
And Maleleel lived an hundred and sixty and five years, and he begot Jared.
16 Atabadwa Yaredi, Mahalaleli anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 830 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Maleleel lived after his begetting Jared, seven hundred and thirty years, and he begot sons and daughters.
17 Zaka zonse za Mahalaleli zinali 895 ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Maleleel were eight hundred and ninety and five years, and he died.
18 Pamene Yaredi anali ndi zaka 162, anabereka Enoki.
And Jared lived an hundred and sixty and two years, and begot Enoch:
19 Atabadwa Enoki, Yaredi anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 800 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
and Jared lived after his begetting Enoch, eight hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.
20 Zaka zonse za Yaredi zinali 962 ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty and two years, and he died.
21 Pamene Enoki anali ndi zaka 65, anabereka Metusela.
And Enoch lived an hundred and sixty and five years, and became the father of Mathusala.
22 Atabadwa Metusela, Enoki anayenda ndi Mulungu zaka 300 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Enoch was well-pleasing to God after his begetting Mathusala, two hundred years, and he begot sons and daughters.
23 Zaka zonse za Enoki zinali 365.
And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty and five years.
24 Enoki anayenda ndi Mulungu; ndipo iye sanaonekenso chifukwa Mulungu anamutenga.
And Enoch was well-pleasing to God, and was not found, because God translated him.
25 Pamene Metusela anali ndi zaka 187, anabereka Lameki.
And Mathusala lived an hundred and sixty and seven years, and begot Lamech.
26 Ndipo atabadwa Lameki, Metusela anakhala ndi moyo zaka zina 782 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Mathusala lived after his begetting Lamech eight hundred and two years, and begot sons and daughters.
27 Zaka zonse za Metusela zinali 969, ndipo anamwalira.
And all the days of Mathusala which he lived, were nine hundred and sixty and nine years, and he died.
28 Pamene Lameki anali ndi zaka 182, anabereka mwana wamwamuna.
And Lamech lived an hundred and eighty and eight years, and begot a son.
29 Ndipo anamutcha Nowa ndipo anati, “Iyeyu adzatipumulitsa ku ntchito zathu zolemetsazi, zolima nthaka imene Yehova anayitemberera.”
And he called his name Noe, saying, This one will cause us to cease from our works, and from the toils of our hands, and from the earth, which the Lord God has cursed.
30 Atabadwa Nowa, Lameki anakhala zaka zina 595 ndipo anabereka ana ena aamuna ndi aakazi.
And Lamech lived after his begetting Noe, five hundred and sixty and five years, and begot sons and daughters.
31 Zaka zonse za Lameki zinali 777, ndipo kenaka anamwalira.
And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and fifty-three years, and he died.
32 Pamene Nowa anali ndi zaka 500, anabereka Semu, Hamu ndi Yafeti.
