Genesis 39
1 Tsopano Yosefe anatengedwa kupita ku Igupto. Potifara Mwigupto amene anali mmodzi wa akuluakulu a Farao ndiponso mkulu wa asilikali olonda ku nyumba kwa Farao, anagula Yosefe kwa Aismaeli amene anapita naye kumeneko.
Ioseph was brought vnto Egipte ad Putiphar a lorde of Pharaos: ad his chefe marshall an Egiptian bought him of ye Ismaelites which brought hi thither
2 Koma Yehova anali ndi Yosefe ndipo zake zonse zimayenda bwino. Iye ankakhala mʼnyumba ya mbuye wake wa ku Igupto.
And the LORde was with Ioseph and he was a luckie felowe and continued in the house of his master the Egiptian.
3 Mbuye wake anaona kuti Yehova anali naye Yosefe ndi kuti pa chilichonse chimene anachita Yehova ankaonetsetsa kuti achite bwino.
And his master sawe that the ORde was with him and that the LORde made all that he dyd prosper in his hande:
4 Potifara anakondwera ndi Yosefe chifukwa cha matumikiridwe ake. Choncho anamusandutsa woyangʼanira nyumba yake ndi zonse za mʼnyumba yake.
Wherfore he founde grace in his masters syghte and serued him. And his master made him ruelar of his house and put all that he had in his hande.
5 Kuchokera pa nthawi imene anamuyika kukhala woyangʼanira wa nyumbayo ndi zonse za mʼnyumbamo, Yehova anadalitsa nyumba ya Mwiguptoyo chifukwa cha Yosefe. Madalitso a Yehova anali pa chilichonse chimene Potifara anali nacho, za mʼnyumba komanso za ku munda.
And as soone as he had made him ruelar ouer his house ad ouer all that he had the LORde blessed this Egiptians house for Iosephs sake and the blessynge of the LORde was vpon all that he had: both in the house and also in the feldes.
6 Choncho anasiyira mʼmanja mwa Yosefe chilichonse chomwe anali nacho, kotero kuti samadandaula ndi chilichonse kupatula chakudya chimene ankadya. Tsopano Yosefe anali wa thupi labwino ndi wokongola.
And therfore he left all that he had in Iosephs hande and loked vpon nothinge that was with him saue only on the bread which he ate. And Ioseph was a goodly persone and a well favored
7 Patapita kanthawi, mkazi wa mbuye wake anayamba kusirira Yosefe nati, “Bwanji ugone nane!”
And it fortuned after this that his masters wife cast hir eyes vpon Ioseph and sayde come lye with me.
8 Koma iye anakana namuwuza kuti, “Inu mukuona kuti mbuye wanga sadandaula ndi kena kalikonse mʼnyumba muno, ndipo chawo chilichonse anachiyika mʼmanja mwanga.
But he denyed and sayde to her: Beholde my master woteth not what he hath in the house with me but hath commytted all that he hath to my hande
9 Motero kuti palibe wina wamkulu kuposa ine mʼnyumba muno. Ndipo palibe chilichonse chimene mbuye wanga sanachipereke kwa ine kupatula inuyo, chifukwa ndinu mkazi wake. Tsono ndingachite bwanji choyipa choterechi ndi kuchimwira Mulungu?”
He him selfe is not greatter in the house than I ad hath kepte nothige fro me but only the because thou art his wife. How than cam I do this great wykydnes for to synne agaynst God?
10 Ndipo ngakhale kuti iye anayankhula mawu omwewa ndi Yosefe tsiku ndi tsiku, Yosefe sanalole kugona naye ngakhale kukhala naye pafupi.
And after this maner spake she to Ioseph daye by daye: but he harkened not vnto her to slepe nere her or to be in her company.
11 Tsiku lina Yosefe analowa mʼnyumbamo kukagwira ntchito zake, ndipo munalibe wina aliyense wantchito mʼnyumbamo.
And it fortuned aboute the same season that Ioseph entred in to the house to do his busynes: and there was none of the houshold by in the house.
12 Mkazi uja anamugwira mkanjo Yosefe nati, “Tiye ugone nane!” Koma Yosefe anasiya mkanjo wake mʼmanja mwa mkaziyo nathawira kunja kwa nyumba.
And she caught him by the garment saynge: come slepe with me. And he left his garment in hir hande ad fled and gott him out
13 Pamene mkazi uja anaona kuti Yosefe wamusiyira mkanjo wake mʼmanja mwake nathawira kunja kwa nyumba,
when she sawe that he had left his garmet in hir hande and was fled out
14 iye anayitana antchito ake a mʼnyumba nati, “Taonani mwamuna wanga anabwera ndi Mhebri uyu mʼnyumba muno kuti adzagone nane. Iyeyu analowa ku chipinda kwanga kuti adzagone nane ndipo ine ndinakuwa kwambiri.
she called vnto the men of the house and tolde them saynge: Se he hath brought in an Hebrewe vnto vs to do vs shame. for he came in to me for to haue slept myth me. But I cried with a lowde voyce.
15 Atandimva ndikukuwa, anandisiyira mkanjo wakewu nʼkuthawira kunja.”
And when he harde that I lyfte vp my voyce and cryed he left his garment with me and fled awaye and got him out.
16 Tsono mkazi wa Potifara uja anasunga mkanjowo mpaka mbuye wake wa Yosefe atabwera ku nyumba.
And she layed vp his garment by her vntill hir lorde came home.
17 Tsono anamuwuza nkhaniyi nati: “Wantchito Wachihebri amene munatibweretsera uja anabwera kuti adzagone nane.
And she told him acordynge to these wordes saynge. This Hebrues servaunte which thou hast brought vnto vs came in to me to do me shame.
18 Koma pamene ndinakuwa, iye anandisiyira mkanjo wake nathawira kunja.”
But as soone as I lyft vp my voyce and cryed he left his garment with me and fled out.
19 Mbuye wake wa Yosefe atamva nkhani imene mkazi wake anamuwuza kuti, “Ndi zimene anandichitira wantchito wanu,” anapsa mtima kwambiri.
When his master herde the woordes of his wyfe which she tolde him saynge: after this maner dyd thy servaunte to me he waxed wrooth.
20 Tsono iye anatenga Yosefe namuyika mʼndende mmene ankasungiramo amʼndende a mfumu. Ndipo Yosefe anakhala mʼndendemo
And he toke Ioseph and put him in pryson: euen in the place where the kinges prisoners laye bounde. And there contynued he in preson.
21 koma Yehova anali naye, ndipo anamuonetsa kukoma mtima kwake, kotero kuti woyangʼanira ndende anakondwera ndi Yosefe.
But the LORde was with Ioseph ad shewed him mercie and gott him fauoure in the syghte of the keper of ye preson
22 Choncho woyangʼanira ndende uja anamuyika Yosefe kukhala woyangʼanira onse amene anayikidwa mʼndende. Ndiponso anamupatsa udindo woyangʼanira zonse zochitika mʼndendemo.
which commytted to Iosephe hade all the presoners that were in the preson housse. And what soeuer was done there yt dyd he.
23 Woyangʼanira ndende uja sankayangʼaniranso china chilichonse chimene chinali mu ulamuliro wa Yosefe, chifukwa Yehova anali ndi Yosefe. Ndipo Yehova anaonetsetsa kuti chilichonse chimene Yosefe ankachita chimuyendere bwino.
And the keper of the preso loked vnto nothinge that was vnder his hande because the LORde was with him and because that what soeuer he dyd the LORde made it come luckely to passe.
