Ezekieli 14
1 Tsiku lina ena mwa akuluakulu a Israeli anabwera kwa ine ndipo anakhala pansi pamaso panga.
Now certain men of the elders of Israel came to me, and sat before me.
2 Ndipo Yehova anandipatsa uthenga uwu nati,
And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
3 “Iwe mwana wa munthu, anthu awa ayika mtima pa mafano awo. Ayikanso maso awo pa zinthu zina zoyipa zopunthwitsa. Kodi ayembekezera kuti ndiwayankhe chimene atandifunse?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and have put the stumbling-block of their iniquity before their face; shall I hear them when they inquire of me?
4 Tsono yankhula nawo ndi kuwawuza kuti zimene akunena Ambuye Yehova: ‘Ngati Mwisraeli aliyense ayika mtima wake pa mafano ndi kuyika maso ake pa zinthu zoyipa zopunthwitsa, kenaka nʼkupita kwa mneneri, Ineyo Yehova mwini wakene ndidzamuyankha molingana ndi kuchuluka kwa mafano ake.
Therefore speak with them, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, —I, Jehovah, will answer him according to the multitude of his idols;
5 Ine ndidzachita zimenezi kuti mwina nʼkukopa mitima ya anthu a Israeli, amene andisiya chifukwa cha mafano awo.’
that I may lay hold of the house of Israel in their hearts, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.
6 “Nʼchifukwa chake uwawuze Aisraeli kuti Ine Ambuye Yehova ndikuti: Lapani! Siyani mafano anu ndi ntchito zanu zonse zonyansa!
Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Turn ye, even turn yourselves from your idols, and from all your abominations turn ye your faces!
7 “‘Ngati Mwisraeli wina aliyense kapena mlendo wina aliyense wokhala pakati pa Israeli adzichotsa yekha kwa Ine ndi kuyika mtima pa mafano ake ndi kuyikanso maso ake pa zinthu zopunthwitsa ndipo kenaka nʼkupita kwa mneneri kukafunsa nzeru, Ineyo Yehova mwini wakene ndidzamuyankha.
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet to inquire of me through him, —I, Jehovah, will answer him by myself.
8 Ine ndidzalimbana naye munthu ameneyo ndipo ndidzamusandutsa chitsanzo ndi chisudzo. Ndidzamuchotsa pakati pa anthu anga. Pamenepo inu mudzadziwa kuti Ine ndine Yehova.
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
9 “‘Ndipo ngati mneneri anyengedwa nanenera, Ine Yehova ndiye ndamunyenga mneneri ameneyo, ndipo ndidzatambasula dzanja langa kumukantha ndi kumuwononga pakati pa anthu anga Aisraeli.
And when the prophet is deceived when he speaketh anything, I, Jehovah, have deceived that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
10 Iwo adzalangidwa chifukwa cha kulakwa kwawo. Chilango cha wodzafunsira nzeru kwa mneneri chidzafanana ndi chilango cha mneneriyo.
And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that inquireth of him;
11 Ndidzachita zimenezi kuti Aisraeli asasocherenso kundisiya Ine ndi kuti asadziyipitsenso ndi machimo awo. Adzakhala anthu anga, ndipo Ine ndidzakhala Mulungu wawo, akutero Ambuye Yehova.’”
that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, nor be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord Jehovah.
12 Yehova anayankhula nane kuti,
Again the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
13 “Iwe mwana wa munthu, ngati dziko lindichimwira posandikhulupirira, Ine ndidzatambasula dzanja langa kulikantha pochepetsa chakudya chake. Ndidzatumiza njala pa dzikolo ndi kuwononga anthu ake ndi nyama zomwe.
Son of man, when a land sinneth against me, and grievously transgresseth, and I stretch out my hand against it, and break the staff of its bread, and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast,
14 Ngakhale anthu atatu awa, Nowa, Danieli ndi Yobu akanakhala mʼmenemo, akanangopulumutsa moyo wawo chifukwa cha chilungamo chawo. Ndikutero Ine Ambuye Yehova.
though these three men were in it, Noah, Daniel, and Job, they should deliver only themselves by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.
15 “Kapena ndikanatumiza zirombo mʼdziko monse ndi kulisiya lopanda anthu, ndipo dzikolo nʼkukhala chipululu chakuti munthu sangadutse chifukwa cha zirombo.
When I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, and it be desolate so that none passeth through it because of the beasts,
16 Apanso, ndikunenetsa Ine Ambuye Yehova kuti, ‘Ngakhale anthu atatu awa akanakhalamo, sakanatha kupulumutsa ana awo aamuna ndi aakazi. Iwo okha akanapulumuka, koma dziko likanasanduka chipululu.’
though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only should be delivered, but the land should be desolate.
17 “Kapena ndikanatumiza lupanga mʼdzikolo ndi kunena kuti, ‘Lupanga lipite mʼdziko monse,’ ndi kuwononga anthu ake ndi nyama zomwe.
Or when I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land so that I cut off from it man and beast,
18 Apanso ndikunenetsa Ine Ambuye Yehova kuti, ‘Ngakhale anthu atatu awa akanakhalamo, sakanatha kupulumutsa ana awo aamuna kapena ana aakazi. Iwo okha akanapulumuka.’
though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they only should be delivered themselves.
19 “Kapena ndikanatumiza mliri mʼdzikomo ndi kuonetsa ukali wanga pokhetsa magazi, kuwononga anthu ake ndi nyama zomwe.
Or when I send a pestilence upon that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast,
20 Apanso ndikunenetsa Ine Ambuye Yehova kuti ngakhale Nowa, Danieli ndi Yobu akanakhala mʼmenemo, sakanatha ngakhale kupulumutsa mwana wamwamuna kapena wamkazi. Akanangodzipulumutsa okha chifukwa cha chilungamo chawo.
though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter; they should deliver only themselves by their righteousness.
21 “Pakuti Ambuye Yehova akuti: Kudzakhala zoopsa kwambiri pamene ndidzatumiza pa Yerusalemu zilango zanga zinayi izi: lupanga, njala, zirombo ndi mliri kuti ziwononge anthu ake ndi nyama zomwe!
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: How much more, when I send my four grievous judgments against Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the wild beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
22 Komabe padzakhala ena opulumuka, ana aamuna ndi ana aakazi amene adzatulutsidwa mʼdzikomo. Iwo adzabwera kwa inu, ndipo mukadzaona makhalidwe awo ndi zochita zawo, mitima yanu idzakhala pansi mukadzakumbukira chilango chimene ndinachita pa Yerusalemu.
Yet behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, sons and daughters. Behold, they shall come forth to you, and ye shall see their way and their doings, and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil which I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all which I have brought upon her.
23 Mitima yanu idzakhala pansi mukadzaona makhalidwe awo ndi zochita zawo. Tsono mudzadziwa kuti Yerusalemu sindinamuchite zimenezi popanda chifukwa, akutero Ambuye Yehova.”
They shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings; and ye shall know that not without cause I have done all that I have done to her, saith the Lord Jehovah.
