2 Mafumu 11
1 Ataliya amayi ake a Ahaziya ataona kuti mwana wawo wafa, ananyamuka nakawononga banja lonse la mfumu.
And when 'Athalyah the mother of Achazyahu saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.
2 Koma Yehoseba, mwana wamkazi wa Mfumu Yehoramu, mlongo wake wa Ahaziya, anatenga Yowasi mwana wa Ahaziya, namusunga kutali ndi ana a mfumu amene ankati awaphewo. Anamuyika iye pamodzi ndi mlezi wake mʼchipinda chogona chamʼkati kubisira Ataliya kotero iye sanaphedwe.
But Yehosheba', the daughter of king Joram, the sister of Achazyahu, took Joash the son of Achazyahu, and stole him away from among the king's sons that were slain, him and his nurse into the bed-chamber: and they hid him from 'Athalyah, so that he was not slain.
3 Mwanayo anakhala mobisala pamodzi ndi mlezi wake mʼnyumba ya Yehova kwa zaka zisanu ndi chimodzi pamene Ataliya ankalamulira dzikolo.
And he was with her in the house of the Lord hidden for six years, while 'Athalyah was reigning over the land.
4 Koma mʼchaka chachisanu ndi chiwiri, Yehoyada anatumiza mawu kukayitana atsogoleri olamulira asilikali 100 olondera mfumu ndiponso alonda olonda nyumba yaufumu ndipo anabwera nawo mʼNyumba ya Yehova. Iye anapangana nawo pangano ndipo anawalumbiritsa mʼnyumba ya Yehova. Kenaka anawaonetsa mwana wamwamuna wa mfumu uja.
And in the seventh year Yehoyada' sent and fetched the rulers over the hundreds, of the guards and the runners, and brought them to him into the house of the Lord, and made a covenant with them, and made them swear in the house of the Lord, and showed them the king's son.
5 Yehoyada anawalamulira kuti, “Chimene muti muchite ndi ichi: Inu magulu atatu amene muti mudzakhale pa ntchito tsiku la Sabata, gulu loyamba lidzalondera nyumba ya mfumu,
And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that ye shall do: A third part of you that enter in on the sabbath shall even be keeping watch in the king's house;
6 gulu lachiwiri lidzalondera Chipata cha Suri, ndipo gulu lachitatu lidzalondera chipata cha kumbuyo kwa asilikali amene amasinthana polondera nyumbayo.
And a third part shall be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the runners; so shall ye keep watch at the house, as a defence.
7 Ndipo inu amene muli mʼmagulu ena awiri amene simugwira ntchito pa tsiku la Sabata, nonse mudzalondere mfumu ku nyumbayo.
And two parts of you all that are relieved on the sabbath, even they shall keep watch in the house of the Lord about the king.
8 Mudzakhale mozungulira mfumuyo, munthu aliyense ali ndi chida mʼmanja mwake. Wina aliyense amene adzakuyandikireni adzayenera kuphedwa. Muzikhala pafupi ndi mfumu kulikonse kumene ikupita.”
And ye shall encompass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and he that cometh within the ranges shall be put to death: and be ye with the king when he goeth out and when he cometh in.
9 Atsogoleri olamulira asilikali 100 aja anachitadi zonse monga analamulira wansembe Yehoyada. Aliyense anatenga anthu ake, iwo amene amakagwira ntchito pa tsiku la Sabata ndi amene amapita kukapuma ndipo anabwera kwa wansembe Yehoyada.
And the captains over the hundreds did in accordance with all that Yohayada' the priest had commanded: and they took every man his men that came in on the sabbath, with those that were to be relieved on the sabbath, and came to Yehoyada' the priest.
10 Ndipo wansembeyo anawapatsa asilikaliwo mikondo ndi zishango zimene zinali za mfumu Davide ndipo zinali mʼNyumba ya Yehova.
And the priest gave to the captains over the hundred the spears and shields that had belonged to king David, that were in the house of the Lord.
11 Alondawo, aliyense ali ndi chida mʼmanja mwake, anayima mozungulira mfumu, pafupi ndi guwa lansembe ndi nyumbayo, kuchokera mbali ya kummwera mpaka mbali ya kumpoto kwa nyumbayo.
And the runners stood every man with his weapons in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, by the altar and within, round about the king.
12 Yehoyada anatulutsa mwana wa mfumuyo namuveka chipewa chaufumu ndipo anamupatsa Buku la Chipangano ndi kumuyika kukhala mfumu. Iwo anamudzoza ndipo anthu anamuwombera mʼmanja akufuwula kuti, “Mfumu ikhale ndi moyo wautali!”
And he brought forth the king's son, and put the crown upon him, and [gave him] the testimony, and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, Long live the king.
13 Ataliya atamva phokoso limene alonda ndi anthuwo amachita, anapita ku Nyumba ya Yehova kumene kunali anthuwo.
And when 'Athalyah heard the noise of the runners [and] of the people, she came to the people in the house of the Lord.
14 Iye anayangʼana naona mfumu itayima pa chipilala, potsata mwambo waufumu. Atsogoleri a asilikali ndi oyimba malipenga anali pafupi ndi mfumuyo, ndipo anthu onse a mʼderalo ankasangalala ndi kuyimba malipenga. Pamenepo Ataliya anangʼamba mkanjo wake nafuwula kuti, “Kuwukira! Kuwukira!”
And she looked, and, behold, the king stood upon a stand, according to custom, and the princes and the trumpeters were by the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing, and blowing with trumpets: and 'Athalyah then rent her clothes, and cried, Conspiracy! conspiracy!
15 Wansembe Yehoyada analamula atsogoleri a asilikali 100 amene amayangʼanira asilikaliwo kuti, “Mutulutseni ameneyo pakati panu ndipo muphe ndi lupanga aliyense amene adzamutsata.” Pakuti nʼkuti wansembeyo atanena kuti, “Ataliyayo asaphedwere mʼNyumba ya Yehova.”
But Yehoyada' the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the commanders of the army, and said unto them, Lead her forth to within the ranges: and him that followeth her put to death with the sword. For the priest had said, She shall not be slain in the house of the Lord.
16 Choncho anamugwira pamene amafika pa malo amene akavalo amalowera ku nyumba ya mfumu ndipo anamuphera pamenepo.
And they made way for her; and she went by the way of the entrance of the horses into the king's house: and she was put to death there.
17 Tsono Yehoyada anachititsa pangano pakati pa Yehova ndi mfumu ndi anthu kuti adzakhala anthu a Yehova. Iye anachititsanso pangano pakati pa mfumu ndi anthu.
And Yehoyada' made a covenant between the Lord and between the king and between the people, that they should be a people unto the Lord; and between the king and between the people.
18 Anthu onse a mʼdzikomo anapita ku nyumba ya Baala nakayigwetsa. Iwo anaphwanya kotheratu maguwa ansembe ndi mafano ake ndipo anapha Matani wansembe wa Baala patsogolo pa maguwa pomwepo. Pamenepo wansembe Yehoyada anasankha oyangʼanira Nyumba ya Yehova.
And then came all the people of the land into the house of Ba'al, and pulled it down: his altars and his images they broke in pieces thoroughly, and Mattan the priest of Ba'al they slew before the altars. And the priest appointed superintendents over the house of the Lord.
19 Iye anatenga atsogoleri a asilikali 100 aja, alonda olonda nyumba yaufumu pamodzi ndi anthu onse a mʼdzikomo ndipo onse pamodzi anayitulutsa mfumu mʼNyumba ya Yehova ndi kukalowa ku nyumba yaufumu podzera pa chipata cha alonda. Ndipo mfumuyo inakhala pa mpando wake waufumu.
And he took the chiefs over hundreds, and the guards, and the runners, and all the people of the land, and they brought down the king from the house of the Lord, and came by the way of the gate of the runners to the king's house: and he sat on the throne of the kings.
20 Choncho anthu onse a mʼdzikomo anasangalala. Ndipo mu mzindamo munakhala bata chifukwa Ataliya nʼkuti ataphedwa ndi lupanga ku nyumba ya mfumu.
And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was quiet; but 'Athalyah they had slain with the sword at the king's house.
21 Yowasi anali wa zaka zisanu ndi ziwiri pamene anayamba kulamulira.
Seven years old was Jehoash when he became king.
