1 Ndipo Mfumu Solomoni inakhala mfumu ya Aisraeli onse.
King Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 Nduna zake zikuluzikulu zinali izi: Azariya mwana wa Zadoki anali wansembe;
These were the princes whom he had: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;
3 Elihorefe ndi Ahiya, ana a Sisa, anali alembi; Yehosafati mwana wa Ahiludi, anali mlembi wa zochitika;
Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;
6 Ahisara, anali mkulu woyangʼanira nyumba ya mfumu; Adoniramu mwana wa Abida, anali mkulu woyangʼanira ntchito za thangata.
Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labour.
7 Solomoni analinso ndi abwanamkubwa khumi ndi awiri amene ankayangʼanira zigawo zonse za dziko la Israeli. Iwo ankapereka chakudya kwa mfumu ndiponso ku banja laufumu. Bwanamkubwa aliyense ankapereka chakudya mwezi umodzi pa chaka.
Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.

These are their names: Ben Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;

Ben Abinadab, in all the height of Dor (he had Taphath, Solomon’s daughter, as wife);

Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth Shean which is beside Zarethan, beneath Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as beyond Jokmeam;

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
18 Simei mwana wa Ela, anali woyangʼanira Benjamini;
Shimei the son of Ela, in Benjamin;
19 Geberi mwana wa Uri, anali woyangʼanira Giliyadi (dziko la Sihoni mfumu ya Aamori ndi dziko la Ogi mfumu ya Basani). Iye ankayangʼanira chigawo chonsechi yekha.
Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land.
20 Anthu a ku Yuda ndi ku Israeli anali ochuluka ngati mchenga wa mʼmbali mwa nyanja. Ankadya ndi kumwa ndipo ankasangalala.
Judah and Israel were numerous as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and making merry.
21 Ndipo Solomoni analamulira mayiko onse kuyambira ku mtsinje wa Yufurate mpaka ku dziko la Afilisti, kukafika mpaka ku malire a dziko la Igupto. Mayikowa ankabweretsa mphatso ndipo anali pansi pa ulamuliro wa Solomoni moyo wake wonse.
Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 Chakudya cha tsiku ndi tsiku cha Solomoni chinali madengu 150 a ufa wosalala ndi madengu 300 a mgayiwa,
Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty cors of fine flour, sixty measures of meal,

24 Pakuti ankalamulira dziko lonse la kumadzulo kwa mtsinje wa Yufurate kuyambira ku Tifisa mpaka ku Gaza, mafumu onse a kumadzulo kwa Mtsinje, ndipo anali pa mtendere ndi mayiko onse ozungulira.
For he had dominion over all on this side the River, from Tiphsah even to Gaza, over all the kings on this side the River; and he had peace on all sides around him.
25 Pa nthawi ya Solomoni, Yuda ndi Israeli anali pa mtendere, kuyambira ku Dani mpaka ku Beeriseba. Munthu aliyense ankangodzikhalira pansi pa mpesa wake ndi mtengo wake wa mkuyu.
Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 Solomoni anali ndi zipinda 4,000 zodyeramo akavalo okoka magaleta ake ndi anthu 12,000 oyendetsa magaleta.
Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 Abwanamkubwa a zigawo aja, aliyense pa mwezi wake, ankapereka chakudya cha Mfumu Solomoni ndi cha anthu onse amene ankadya naye. Iwo ankaonetsetsa kuti pasasowe kalikonse.
Those officers provided food for King Solomon, and for all who came to King Solomon’s table, every man in his month. They let nothing be lacking.
28 Ankabweretsanso ku malo ake ofunikira muyeso wawo wa barele ndi udzu wa akavalo okoka magaleta ndiponso akavalo ena.
They also brought barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds to the place where the officers were, each man according to his duty.
29 Mulungu anamupatsa Solomoni nzeru ndi luntha losaneneka ndipo nzeru zake zinali zochuluka ngati mchenga wa mʼmbali mwa nyanja.
God gave Solomon abundant wisdom, understanding, and breadth of mind like the sand that is on the seashore.
30 Nzeru za Solomoni zinali zoposa nzeru za anthu onse a Kummawa ndiponso nzeru zonse za ku Igupto.
Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 Iye anali wanzeru kuposa munthu wina aliyense, kuposa ngakhale Etani wa banja la Ezara, Hemani, Kalikoli ndi Darida, ana a Maholi. Ndipo mbiri yake inamveka kwa mitundu yonse ya anthu ozungulira.
For he was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations all around.
32 Solomoni anapeka miyambi 3,000 ndi kulemba nyimbo 1,005.
He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs numbered one thousand and five.
33 Iye ankaphunzitsa za mitengo, kuyambira mtengo wa mkungudza wa ku Lebanoni mpaka kachitsamba ka hisope khomera pa khoma. Iye ankaphunzitsanso za nyama ndi mbalame, zinthu zokwawa pansi ndiponso za nsomba.
He spoke of trees, from the cedar that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that grows out of the wall; he also spoke of animals, of birds, of creeping things, and of fish.
34 Anthu a mitundu yonse ankabwera kudzamva nzeru za Solomoni. Anthu amenewa ankatumizidwa ndi mafumu onse a dziko lapansi amene anamvapo za nzeru zakezo.
People of all nations came to hear the wisdom of Solomon, sent by all kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom.
