1 Aisraeli onse analembedwa potsata mibado yawo mʼbuku la mafumu a Aisraeli. Anthu a ku Yuda anatengedwa kunka ku ukapolo ku Babuloni chifukwa cha kusakhulupirika kwawo.
And all Israel were registered by genealogy; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. And Judah was carried away to Babylon because of their transgression.
2 Tsono anthu oyamba kukhala mʼmadera awo anali Aisraeli wamba, ansembe, Alevi ndi otumikira ku Nyumba ya Yehova.
And the inhabitants that were first in their possessions in their cities were the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the Nethinim.
3 Anthu a ku Yuda, Benjamini ndi Efereimu ndiponso Manase amene anakhala mu Yerusalemu anali awa:
And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh:
4 Utai mwana wa Amihudi, mwana wa Omuri, mwana wa Imuri, mwana wa Bani, chidzukulu cha Perezi mwana wa Yuda.
Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pherez the son of Judah.
5 A banja la Siloni: Asaya mwana wake woyamba pamodzi ndi ana ake.
And of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
6 A banja la Zera: Yeueli. Anthu ochokera ku Yuda analipo 690.
And of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel; and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7 A fuko la Benjamini: Salu mwana wa Mesulamu, mwana wa Hodaviya, mwana wa Hasenuya;
And of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah,
8 Ibineya mwana wa Yerohamu; Ela mwana wa Uzi, mwana wa Mikiri; ndi Mesulamu mwana wa Sefatiya, mwana wa Reueli mwana wa Ibiniya.
and Jibneiah the son of Jeroham, and Elah the son of Uzzi, the son of Michri, and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah, the son of Reuel, the son of Jibnijah;
9 Anthu ochokera ku Benjamini monga analembedwera mwa mibado yawo, analipo 956. Anthu onsewa anali atsogoleri a mabanja awo.
and their brethren, according to their generations, nine hundred and fifty-six. All these men were chief fathers in their fathers' houses.
10 Ansembe: Yedaya, Yehoyaribu; Yakini;
And of the priests: Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin,
11 Azariya mwana wa Hilikiya, mwana wa Mesulamu, mwana wa Zadoki mwana wa Merayoti, mwana wa Ahitubi, wamkulu woyangʼanira Nyumba ya Mulungu;
and Azariah the son of Hilkijah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God;
12 Adaya mwana wa Yerohamu, mwana wa Pasi-Huri, mwana wa Malikiya; ndi Maasai mwana wa Adieli, mwana wa Yahizera, mwana wa Mesulamu, mwana wa Mesilemoti, mwana wa Imeri.
and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah, and Masai the son of Adiel, the son of Jahzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer;
13 Ansembe amene anali atsogoleri a mabanja awo analipo 1,760. Anali anthu amphamvu ndi odziwa kutumikira mʼnyumba ya Mulungu.
and their brethren, heads of their fathers' houses, a thousand and seven hundred and sixty; able men for the work of the service of the house of God.
14 Alevi: Semaya mwana wa Hasubu, mwana wa Azirikamu, mwana wa Hasabiya, wa mʼbanja la Merari;
And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, of the sons of Merari;
15 Bakibakara, Heresi, Galali ndi Mataniya mwana wa Mika, mwana wa Zikiri, mwana wa Asafu;
and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal; and Mattaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph;
16 Obadiya mwana wa Semaya mwana wa Galali, mwana wa Yedutuni ndi Berekiya mwana wa Asa, mwana wa Elikana, amene ankakhala ku midzi ya Anetofati.
and Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, who dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.
17 Alonda a pa makomo: Salumu, Akubu, Talimoni, Ahimani ndi abale awo. Mtsogoleri wawo anali Salumu.
And the doorkeepers: Shallum, and Akkub, and Talmon, and Ahiman, and their brethren; Shallum was the chief.
18 Amenewa amakhala pa chipata cha mfumu kummawa mpaka lero lino. Alonda a gulu la Alevi anali awa:
And they have been hitherto in the king's gate eastward: they were the doorkeepers in the camps of the children of Levi.
19 Salumu mwana wa Kore, mwana wa Ebiyasafu, mwana wa Kora, pamodzi ndi abale ake a ku banja la makolo ake, Akora aja ankanyangʼanira khomo la Tenti monga ankachitira abambo awo polondera khomo la malo okhalapo Yehova.
And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent, and their fathers, set over the camp of Jehovah, were keepers of the entrance.
20 Masiku oyamba Finehasi mwana wa Eliezara anali woyangʼanira alonda apakhomo ndipo Yehova anali naye.
And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them formerly; Jehovah was with him.
21 Zekariya mwana wa Meselemiya anali mlonda woyangʼanira pa chipata cha tenti ya msonkhano.
Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was doorkeeper at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
22 Onse amene anasankhidwa kukhala alonda pa khonde analipo 212. Iwo analembedwa mwa mibado yawo ku midzi yawo. Davide ndi mneneri Samueli ndiwo anawayika mʼmalo awo antchito chifukwa cha kukhulupirika kwawo.
All these chosen to be doorkeepers at the thresholds were two hundred and twelve. These were registered by genealogy according to their villages: David and Samuel the seer had instituted them in their trust.
23 Iwo ndi zidzukulu zawo anali oyangʼanira zipata za nyumba ya Yehova imene imatchedwa Tenti.
And they and their sons were at the gates of the house of Jehovah, the house of the tent, to keep watch there.
24 Alonda apakhomowa anali mbali zonse zinayi: kummawa, kumadzulo, kumpoto ndi kummwera.
At the four quarters were the doorkeepers, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25 Abale awo a ku midzi yawo amabwera nthawi ndi nthawi kudzagwira ntchito yawo kwa masiku asanu ndi awiri.
And their brethren, in their villages, were to come after [every] seven days from time to time with them.
26 Koma atsogoleri akuluakulu anayi a alonda, amene anali Alevi, anapatsidwa udindo woyangʼanira zipinda ndi chuma cha nyumba ya Mulungu.
For in their trust these four were the chief doorkeepers: they were Levites; and they were over the chambers and over the treasuries of the house of God;
27 Iwo amakhala usiku wonse atayima mozungulira Nyumba ya Mulungu, chifukwa anayenera kuyilondera. Ndipo anali ndi kiyi wotsekulira mmawa uliwonse.
for they stayed round about the house of God during the night, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning [pertained] to them.
28 Ena amayangʼanira zipangizo zimene amagwiritsa ntchito pa ntchito mʼNyumba ya Mulungu. Iwo amaziwerenga zikamalowetsedwa ndi potulutsidwa.
And [part] of them had the charge of the instruments of service, for by number they brought them in and by number they brought them out.
29 Ena anapatsidwa udindo wosamalira zipangizo ndi zinthu zina zonse za ku malo opatulika, pamodzi ndi ufa, vinyo, mafuta, lubani ndi zonunkhira.
[Part] of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the holy instruments, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30 Koma ansembe ena amasakaniza zonunkhirazo.
And it was [some one] of the sons of the priests who compounded the ointment of the spices.
31 Mlevi wotchedwa Matitiya mwana woyamba wa Salumu wa mʼbanja la Kora, anapatsidwa udindo woyangʼanira zophikidwa mʼziwaya.
And Mattithiah of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, was in trust over the things that were made in the pans.
32 Abale ake ena a mʼbanja la Akohati amaphika buledi wa pa Sabata lililonse amene amayikidwa pa tebulo.
And [some] of the sons of the Kohathites, their brethren, were over the loaves to be set in rows, to prepare them every sabbath.
33 Atsogoleri a mabanja a Alevi, amene anali ndi luso loyimba, amakhala mʼzipinda za Nyumba ya Mulungu ndipo samagwira ntchito zina chifukwa ankatumikira usana ndi usiku.
And these were the singers, chief fathers of the Levites, [who were] in the chambers free from service; for they were employed day and night.
34 Onsewa anali atsogoleri a mabanja a Alevi, akuluakulu monga analembedwera pa mibado yawo, ndipo ankakhala mu Yerusalemu.
These are the chief fathers of the Levites, heads according to their families; these dwelt in Jerusalem.
35 Yeiyeli abambo a Gibiyoni ankakhala ku Gibiyoni. Dzina la akazi awo linali Maaka,
And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jeiel, and his wife's name was Maachah.
36 ndipo mwana wawo woyamba kubadwa anali Abidoni, motsatana ndi Zuri, Kisi, Baala, Neri, Nadabu,
And his son, the firstborn, was Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
37 Gedori, Ahiyo, Zekariya ndi Mikiloti.
and Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth;
38 Mikiloti anabereka Simeamu. Iwonso ankakhala ndi abale awo ku Yerusalemu.
and Mikloth begot Shimeam. And they also dwelt beside their brethren in Jerusalem, with their brethren.
39 Neri anabereka Kisi, Kisi anabereka Sauli, ndipo Sauli anabereka Yonatani, Maliki-Suwa, Abinadabu ndi Esibaala.
And Ner begot Kish; and Kish begot Saul; and Saul begot Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
40 Mwana wa Yonatani anali Meri-Baala, amene anabereka Mika.
And the son of Jonathan was Merib-Baal; and Merib-Baal begot Micah.
41 Ana a Mika anali: Pitoni, Meleki, Tahireya ndi Ahazi.
And the sons of Micah: Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea.
42 Ahazi anabereka Yara, Yara anabereka Alemeti, Azimaveti ndi Zimuri, ndipo Zimiri anabereka Moza.
And Ahaz begot Jarah: and Jarah begot Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza;
43 Moza anabereka Bineya. Ana ake anali Refaya, Eleasa ndi Azeli.
and Moza begot Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.
44 Azeli anali ndi ana asanu ndi mmodzi ndipo mayina awo anali awa: Azirikamu, Bokeru, Ismaeli, Seariya, Obadiya ndi Hanani. Awa anali ana a Azeli.
And Azel had six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bochru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan; these were the sons of Azel.
