2 Ana a Kohati anali awa: Amramu, Izihari, Hebroni ndi Uzieli.

And the sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 Ana a Amramu anali awa: Aaroni, Mose ndi Miriamu. Ana a Aaroni anali awa: Nadabu, Abihu, Eliezara ndi Itamara

And the children of Amram: Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. And the sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

4 Eliezara anabereka Finehasi, Finehasi anabereka Abisuwa,

Eleazar begot Phinehas, Phinehas begot Abishua;

5 Abisuwa anabereka Buki, Buki anabereka Uzi.

and Abishua begot Bukki, and Bukki begot Uzzi;

6 Uzi anabereka Zerahiya, Zerahiya anabereka Merayoti,

and Uzzi begot Zerahiah, and Zerahiah begot Meraioth;

7 Merayoti anabereka Amariya, Amariya anabereka Ahitubi.

Meraioth begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub;

8 Ahitubi anabereka Zadoki, Zadoki anabereka Ahimaazi.

and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Ahimaaz;

9 Ahimaazi anabereka Azariya, Azariya anabereka Yohanani,

and Ahimaaz begot Azariah, and Azariah begot Johanan;

10 Yohanani anabereka Azariya (uyu ndi amene anatumikira monga wansembe mʼNyumba ya Mulungu imene Solomoni anamanga mu Yerusalemu),

and Johanan begot Azariah — he it is that executed the priest's office in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem —

11 Azariya anabereka Amariya, Amariya anabereka Ahitubi,

and Azariah begot Amariah, and Amariah begot Ahitub;

12 Ahitubi anabereka Zadoki, Zadoki anabereka Salumu,

and Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Shallum;

13 Salumu anabereka Hilikiya, Hilikiya anabereka Azariya,

and Shallum begot Hilkiah, and Hilkiah begot Azariah;

14 Azariya anabereka Seraya, ndipo Seraya anabereka Yehozadaki.

and Azariah begot Seraiah, and Seraiah begot Jehozadak;

15 Yehozadaki anagwidwa ukapolo pamene Yehova analola Nebukadinezara kuti agwire ukapolo Yuda ndi Yerusalemu.

and Jehozadak went into captivity, when the LORD carried away Judah and Jerusalem by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

16 Ana a Levi anali awa: Geresomu, Kohati ndi Merari.

The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath and Merari.

17 Mayina a ana a Geresomu ndi awa: Libini ndi Simei.

And these are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni, and Shimei.

18 Ana a Kohati anali awa: Amramu, Izihari, Hebroni ndi Uzieli.

And the sons of Kohath were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 Ana a Merari anali awa: Mahili ndi Musi. Mayina a mabanja a fuko la Levi olembedwa potsata makolo awo ndi awa:

The sons of Merari: Mahli, and Mushi. And these are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

20 Ana a Geresomu ndi awa: Libini, Yehati, Zima,

Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son;

21 Yowa, Ido, Zera ndi Yeaterai.

Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son.

22 Zidzukulu za Kohati ndi izi: Aminadabu, Kora, Asiri,

The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son;

23 Elikana, Ebiyasafu, Asiri,

Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son;

24 Tahati, Urieli, Uziya ndi Sauli.

Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 Zidzukulu za Elikana ndi izi: Amasai, Ahimoti,

And the sons of Elkanah: Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 Elikana, Zofai, Nahati,

As for Elkanah: the sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, and Nahath his son;

27 Eliabu, Yerohamu, Elikana ndi Samueli.

Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

28 Ana a Samueli ndi awa: Mwana wake woyamba anali Yoweli, wachiwiri anali Abiya.

And the sons of Samuel: the first-born Vashni; then Abiah.

29 Zidzukulu za Merari ndi izi: Mahili, Libini, Simei, Uza,

The sons of Merari: Mahli; Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son;

30 Simea, Hagiya ndi Asaya.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

31 Awa ndi anthu amene Davide anawayika kuti aziyangʼanira mayimbidwe mʼNyumba ya Yehova, Bokosi la Chipangano litabwera kudzakhala mʼmenemo.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after that the ark had rest.

32 Iwo ankatumikira akuyimba nyimbo pa khomo la malo opatulika, tenti ya msonkhano, mpaka Solomoni atamanga Nyumba ya Yehova mu Yerusalemu. Iwo ankagwira ntchito zawo potsata malamulo amene anawapatsa.

And they ministered with song before the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem; and they took their station at their service according to their order.

33 Mayina a anthuwo, pamodzi ndi ana awo, anali awa: Ochokera ku banja la Kohati: Hemani, katswiri woyimba, anali mwana wa Yoweli, mwana wa Samueli,

And these are they that took their station, and their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites: Heman the singer, the son of Joel, the son of Samuel;

34 mwana wa Elikana, mwana wa Yerohamu, mwana wa Elieli, mwana wa Towa,

the son of Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Eliel, the son of Toah;

35 mwana wa Zufi, mwana wa Elikana, mwana wa Mahati, mwana wa Amasai,

the son of Zuph, the son of Elkanah, the son of Mahath, the son of Amasai;

36 mwana wa Elikana, mwana wa Yoweli, mwana wa Azariya, mwana wa Zefaniya,

the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah;

37 mwana wa Tahati, mwana wa Asiri, mwana wa Ebiyasafu, mwana wa Kora,

the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah;

38 mwana wa Izihari, mwana wa Kohati, mwana wa Levi, mwana wa Israeli;

the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.

39 ndi Asafu mʼbale wake, amene ankatumikira ku dzanja lake lamanja: Asafu anali mwana wa Berekiya, mwana wa Simea,

And his brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand; even Asaph the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea;

40 mwana wa Mikayeli, mwana wa Baaseya, mwana wa Malikiya,

the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchijah;

41 mwana wa Etini, mwana wa Zera, mwana wa Adaya,

the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah;

42 mwana wa Etani, mwana wa Zima, mwana Simei,

the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei;

43 mwana wa Yahati, mwana wa Geresomu, mwana wa Levi;

the son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.

44 ndipo abale awo ena anali a banja la Merari amene amatumikira ku dzanja lake lamanzere: Etani anali mwana wa Kisi, mwana wa Abidi, mwana wa Maluki,

And on the left hand their brethren the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch;

45 mwana wa Hasabiya, mwana wa Amaziya, mwana wa Hilikiya,

the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah;

46 mwana wa Amizi, mwana wa Bani, mwana wa Semeri,

the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer;

47 mwana wa Mahili, mwana wa Musi, mwana wa Merari, mwana wa Levi.

the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.

48 Abale awo Alevi anapatsidwa ntchito zina zonse ku malo opatulika ku nyumba ya Mulungu.

And their brethren the Levites were appointed for all the service of the tabernacle of the house of God.

49 Koma Aaroni ndi zidzukulu zake anali amene amapereka nsembe pa guwa lansembe zopsereza ndi pa guwa lansembe zofukiza pamodzi ndi zonse zimene zimachitika ku malo opatulika kwambiri, kuchita mwambo wopepesera Israeli, potsata zonse zimene Mose mtumiki wa Mulungu anawalamulira.

But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of burnt-offering, and upon the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

50 Ana a Aaroni ndi zidzukulu zake anali awa: Eliezara, Finehasi, Abisuwa,

And these are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son;

51 Buki, Uzi, Zerahiya,

Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son;

52 Merayoti, Amariya, Ahitubi,

Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son;

53 Zadoki ndi Ahimaazi.

Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

54 Malo amene iwo anapatsidwa kuti likhale dziko lawo ndi awa: (Malowa anapatsidwa kwa zidzukulu za Aaroni zimene zinali za banja la Kohati, chifukwa malo oyamba kugawidwa anali awo).

Now these are their dwelling-places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, for theirs was the first lot,

55 Iwo anapatsidwa Hebroni mʼdziko la Yuda ndi madera odyetsera ziweto ozungulira malowa.

to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah, and the open land round about it;

56 Koma minda ndi midzi yozungulira mzindawo zinapatsidwa kwa Kalebe mwana wa Yefune.

but the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

57 Kotero zidzukulu za Aaroni zinapatsidwa Hebroni (mzinda wopulumukirako), ndi Libina, Yatiri, Esitemowa,

And to the sons of Aaron they gave the city of refuge, Hebron; Libnah also with the open land about it, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;

58 Hileni, Debri,

and Hilen with the open land about it, Debir with the open land about it;

59 Asani, Yuta ndi Beti-Semesi pamodzi ndi madera odyetsera ziweto ozungulira malowa.

and Ashan with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it;

60 Ndipo ku fuko la Benjamini anapatsidwa Gibiyoni, Geba, Alemeti ndi Anatoti, pamodzi ndi madera odyetsera ziweto ozungulira malowa. Mizinda imene anapatsidwa ku banja la Kohati onse pamodzi inalipo 13.

and out of the tribe of Benjamin: Geba with the open land about it, and Alemeth with the open land about it, and Anathoth with the open land about it. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.

61 Zidzukulu zotsala za Kohati anazigawira midzi khumi kuchokera ku mabanja a fuko la theka la Manase.

And unto the rest of the sons of Kohath were given by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half-tribe, the half of Manasseh, ten cities.

62 Zidzukulu za Geresomu banja ndi banja zinapatsidwa mizinda 13 kuchokera ku mafuko a Isakara, Aseri ndi Nafutali, ndi gawo lina la fuko la Manase limene lili ku Basani.

And to the sons of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 Zidzukulu za Merari banja ndi banja zinapatsidwa mizinda khumi ndi iwiri kuchokera ku mafuko a Rubeni, Gadi ndi Zebuloni.

Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

64 Kotero Aisraeli anapatsa Alevi mizindayi ndi madera a msipu ozungulira malowa.

So the children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities with the open land about them.

65 Kuchokera ku mafuko a Yuda, Simeoni ndi Benjamini anawapatsa mizinda imene inawatchula kale mayina.

And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.

66 Mabanja ena a Kohati anapatsidwanso malo kuchokera ku fuko la Efereimu.

And some of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.

67 Kuchokera ku dziko lamapiri la Efereimu anapatsidwa Sekemu (mzinda wopulumukirako) ndi Gezeri,

And they gave unto them the city of refuge, Shechem in the hill-country of Ephraim with the open land about it; Gezer also with the open land about it;

68 Yokineamu, Beti-Horoni,

and Jokmeam with the open land about it, and Bethhoron with the open land about it;

69 Ayaloni ndi Gati-Rimoni, pamodzi ndi madera odyetsera ziweto ozungulira.

and Aijalon with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it;

70 Ndipo kuchokera ku theka la fuko la Manase, Aisraeli anapereka Aneri ndi Bileamu pamodzi ndi madera odyetsera ziweto kwa mabanja ena onse a Kohati.

and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh: Aner with the open land about it, and Bileam with the open land about it, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.

71 Ageresomu analandira malo awa: Kuchokera ku theka la fuko la Manase, analandira Golani ku Basani ndiponso Asiteroti, ndi malo awo odyetsera ziweto;

Unto the sons of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, and Ashtaroth with the open land about it;

72 Kuchokera ku fuko la Isakara analandira Kedesi, Daberati,

and out of the tribe of Issachar: Kedesh with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;

73 Ramoti ndi Anemu, pamodzi ndi malo ake odyetsera ziweto;

and Ramoth with the open land about it, and Anem with the open land about it;

74 kuchokera ku fuko la Aseri analandira Masala, Abidoni,

and out of the tribe of Asher: Mashal with the open land about it, and Abdon with the open land about it;

75 Hukoki ndi Rehobu, pamodzi ndi malo ake odyetsera ziweto;

and Hukok with the open land about it; and Rehob with the open land about it;

76 ndipo kuchokera ku fuko la Nafutali analandira Kedesi ku Galileya, Hamoni ndi Kiriyataimu, pamodzi ndi malo ake odyetsera ziweto.

and out of the tribe of Naphtali: Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, and Hammon with the open land about it, and Kiriathaim with the open land about it.

77 Amerari (Alevi ena onse) analandira madera awa: kuchokera ku fuko la Zebuloni, iwo analandira Yokineamu, Karita, Rimono ndi Tabori, pamodzi ndi malo ake odyetsera ziweto;

Unto the rest of the Levites, the sons of Merari, were given, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with the open land about it, Tabor with the open land about it;

78 Kuchokera ku fuko la Rubeni kutsidya kwa Yorodani, kummawa kwa Yeriko, analandira Bezeri ku chipululu, Yaza,

and beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, were given them, out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it,

79 Kedemoti ndi Mefaati, pamodzi ndi malo ake odyetsera ziweto;

and Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it;

80 ndipo kuchokera ku fuko la Gadi analandira Ramoti ku Giliyadi, Mahanaimu,

and out of the tribe of Gad: Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, and Mahanaim with the open land about it,

81 Hesiboni ndi Yazeri, pamodzi ndi malo ake odyetsera ziweto.

and Heshbon with the open land about it, and Jazer with the open land about it.
