Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:

2 Kuchokera kwa ana a Asafu: Zakuri, Yosefe, Netaniya ndi Asareli. Ana a Asafu amalamulidwa ndi Asafu ndipo amanenera moyangʼaniridwa ndi mfumu.

Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king.

3 Kwa Yedutuni, kuchokera kwa ana ake: Gedaliya, Zeri, Yesaya, Simei, Hasabiya ndi Matitiya. Onse analipo 9 ndipo amayangʼaniridwa ndi Yedutuni abambo awo, amene amanenera pogwiritsa ntchito apangwe poyamika ndi kutamanda Yehova.

Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.

4 Kwa Hemani, kuchokera kwa ana ake: Bukiya, Mataniya, Uzieli, Subaeli ndi Yerimoti; Hananiya, Hanani, Eliata, Gidaliti ndi Romamiti-Ezeri; Yosibakasa, Maloti, Hotiri ndi Mahazioti.

Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:

5 Onsewa anali ana a Hemani mlosi wa mfumu. Iye anapatsidwa anawa potsata mawu a Mulungu akuti adzamukweza. Mulungu anapatsa Hemani ana aamuna 14 ndi ana aakazi atatu.

All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 Anthu onsewa ankayangʼaniridwa ndi makolo awo pa mayimbidwe a mʼNyumba ya Yehova. Iwowatu ankayimba ndi ziwaya zamalipenga, azeze ndi apangwe potumikira mʼNyumba ya Mulungu. Koma Asafu, Yedutuni ndi Hemani amayangʼaniridwa ndi mfumu.

All these were under the hands of their father to sing in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 Iwo pamodzi ndi abale awo onse ophunzitsidwa ndi aluso loyimbira Yehova chiwerengero chawo chinali 288.

So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were skilful, was two hundred and eighty and eight.

8 Angʼonoangʼono ndi akulu omwe, mphunzitsi ndi wophunzira yemwe anachita maere pa ntchito zawo.

And they cast lots, for their duties, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.

9 Maere woyamba amene anali a Asafu, anagwera Yosefe, ana ndi abale ake. 12 Maere achiwiri anagwera Gedaliya, ndi abale ake ndi ana ake. 12

Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:

10 Maere achitatu anagwera Zakuri, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

11 Maere achinayi anagwera Iziri, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

12 Maere achisanu anagwera Netaniya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The fifth to Nethaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

13 Maere achisanu ndi chimodzi anagwera Bukiya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The sixth to Bukkiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

14 Maere achisanu ndi chiwiri anagwera Yesarela, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The seventh to Jesharelah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

15 Maere achisanu ndi chitatu anagwera Yeshaya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The eighth to Jeshaiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

16 Maere achisanu ndi chinayi anagwera Mataniya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The ninth to Mattaniah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

17 Maere a khumi anagwera Simei, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The tenth to Shimei, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

18 Maere a 11 anagwera Azareli, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The eleventh to Azareel, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

19 Maere a 12 anagwera Hasabiya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The twelfth to Hashabiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

20 Maere a 13 anagwera Subaeli, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The thirteenth to Shubael, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

21 Maere a 14 anagwera Matitiya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The fourteenth to Mattithiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

22 Maere a 15 anagwera Yeremoti, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The fifteenth to Jeremoth, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

23 Maere a 16 anagwera Hananiya, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The sixteenth to Hananiah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

24 Maere a 17 anagwera Yosibakasa, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The seventeenth to Joshbekashah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

25 Maere a 18 anagwera Hanani, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The eighteenth to Hanani, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

26 Maere a 19 anagwera Maloti, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The nineteenth to Mallothi, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

27 Maere a 20 anagwera Eliyata, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The twentieth to Eliathah, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

28 Maere a 21 anagwera Hotiri, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The one and twentieth to Hothir, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

29 Maere a 22 anagwera Gidaliti, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The two and twentieth to Giddalti, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

30 Maere a 23 anagwera Mahazioti, ana ake ndi abale ake. 12

The three and twentieth to Mahazioth, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

31 Maere a 24 anagwera Romamiti-Ezeri, ana ake ndi abale ake 12.

The four and twentieth to Romamtiezer, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve.
