1 Magulu a ana a Aaroni anali awa: Ana a Aaroni anali Nadabu, Abihu, Eliezara ndi Itamara.
And the divisions of the sons of Aaron: the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
2 Koma Nadabu ndi Abihu anamwalira abambo awo asanamwalire, ndipo analibe ana aamuna. Kotero Eliezara ndi Itamara ankatumikira monga ansembe.
And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood.
3 Mothandizidwa ndi Zadoki chidzukulu cha Eliezara ndi Ahimeleki chidzukulu cha Itamara, Davide anawagawa mʼmagulu molingana ndi ntchito yawo yotumikira.
And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their office in their service.
4 Atsogoleri ambiri anapezeka pakati pa zidzukulu za Eliezara kusiyana ndi zidzukulu za Itamara ndipo anagawidwa moyenera: atsogoleri 16 a mabanja ochokera kwa Eliezara, ndipo atsogoleri asanu ndi atatu a mabanja ochokera kwa zidzukulu za Itamara.
And there were more head-men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and [thus] were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen heads of fathers' houses, and eight of the sons of Ithamar according to their fathers' houses.
5 Anawagawa mosakondera pochita maere, pakuti iwo anali akuluakulu a ku malo opatulika ndi akuluakulu a Mulungu pakati pa zidzukulu za Eliezara ndi Itamara.
And they were divided by lot, one with another; for the princes of the sanctuary and the princes of God were of the sons of Eleazar and of the sons of Ithamar.
6 Mlembi Semaya mwana wa Netaneli, Mlevi, analemba mayina awo pamaso pa mfumu ndi akuluakulu ake: wansembe Zadoki, Ahimeleki mwana wa Abiatara ndi atsogoleri a mabanja a ansembe ndiponso Alevi, banja limodzi kuchokera kwa Eliezara kenaka limodzi kuchokera kwa Itamara.
And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, [one] of the Levites, inscribed them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites: one father's house was drawn for Eleazar, and one drawn for Ithamar.

And the first lot came forth for Jehoiarib, the second for Jedaiah,
8 achitatu anagwera Harimu, achinayi anagwera Seorimu,
the third for Harim, the fourth for Seorim,
9 achisanu anagwera Malikiya, achisanu ndi chimodzi anagwera Miyamini,
the fifth for Malchijah, the sixth for Mijamin,
10 achisanu ndi chiwiri anagwera Hakozi, achisanu ndi chitatu anagwera Abiya,
the seventh for Hakkoz, the eighth for Abijah,
11 achisanu ndi chinayi anagwera Yesuwa, a khumi anagwera Sekaniya,
the ninth for Jeshuah, the tenth for Shecaniah,
12 a 11 anagwera Eliyasibu, a 12 anagwera Yakimu,
the eleventh for Eliashib, the twelfth for Jakim,
13 a 13 anagwera Hupa, a 14 anagwera Yesebeabu,
the thirteenth for Huppah, the fourteenth for Jeshebeab,
14 a 15 anagwera Biliga, a 16 anagwera Imeri,
the fifteenth for Bilgah, the sixteenth for Immer,
15 a 17 anagwera Heziri, a 18 anagwera Hapizezi,
the seventeenth for Hezir, the eighteenth for Happizez,
16 a 19 anagwera Petahiya, a 20 anagwera Ezekieli,
the nineteenth for Pethahiah, the twentieth for Ezekiel,
17 a 21 anagwera Yakini, a 22 anagwera Gamuli,
the twenty-first for Jachin, the twenty-second for Gamul,
18 a 23 anagwera Delaya, ndipo a 24 anagwera Maaziya.
the twenty-third for Delaiah, the twenty-fourth for Maaziah.
19 Umu ndi mmene anasankhidwira kuti azigwira ntchito yotumikira pamene alowa mʼNyumba ya Yehova, motsatira dongosolo limene anapatsidwa ndi kholo lawo Aaroni, monga momwe Yehova Mulungu wa Israeli anamulamulira.
This is their ordering in their service to come into the house of Jehovah, according to their ordinance, through Aaron their father, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded him.
20 Za zidzukulu zina zonse za Levi: Kuchokera kwa ana a Amramu: Subaeli; kuchokera kwa ana a Subaeli: Yehideya.
And as for the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.
21 Kwa Rehabiya, kuchokera kwa ana ake: Mtsogoleri anali Isiya.
Of Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the head was Jishijah.
22 Kuchokera ku banja la Izihari: Selomoti; kuchokera kwa ana a Selomoti: Yahati.
Of the Jizharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
23 Ana a Hebroni: woyamba anali Yeriya, wachiwiri anali Amariya, wachitatu anali Yahazieli ndipo Yekameamu anali wachinayi.
— And the sons [of Hebron]: Jerijah [the head], Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24 Mwana wa Uzieli: Mika; kuchokera kwa ana a Mika: Samiri.
The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir;
25 Mʼbale wa Mika: Isiya; kuchokera kwa ana a Isiya: Zekariya.
the brother of Micah was Jishijah; of the sons of Jishijah, Zechariah.
26 Ana a Merari: Mahili ndi Musi. Mwana wa Yaaziya: Beno.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah, his son.
27 Ana a Merari: Kuchokera kwa Yaaziya: Beno, Sohamu, Zakuri ndi Ibiri.
The sons of Merari by Jaaziah his son: Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 Kuchokera kwa Mahili: Eliezara, amene analibe ana aamuna.
Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 Kuchokera kwa Kisi: Mwana wa Kisi: Yerahimeeli.
Of Kish, the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.
30 Ndipo ana a Musi: Mahili, Ederi ndi Yerimoti. Awa anali Alevi potsata mabanja a makolo awo.
And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.
31 Iwonso anachita maere, monga anachitira abale awo, zidzukulu za Aaroni, pamaso pa mfumu Davide, ndi Zadoki ndi Ahimeleki, atsogoleri a mabanja a ansembe ndi Alevi. Mabanja a mwana wamkulu anachita nawo mofanana ndi a mwana wamngʼono.
These likewise cast lots just as their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites, — the chief fathers just as the youngest of their brethren.
