1 ᎠᏴ, ᏉᎳ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎩᏅᏏᏙᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎠᎩᏅᏏᏛ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎤᏃᎯᏳᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏧᏑᏰᏛ, ᎠᎴ [ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ] ᏗᏓᏂᎸᎢᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎦᎾᏰᎯᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᏥᎩ,
Paul, the servant of God, and apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of the elect of God, and the perfect knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
2 ᏧᎵᏠᏯᏍᏗ ᎤᏚᎩ ᎬᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎬᏂᏛ ᎠᎵᏍᏆᏗᏍᎩ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎠᏩᏛᏗᏱ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏞᏩᏥᎪᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᏧᏚᎢᏍᏔᏁ ᎠᏏ ᎾᏓᎴᏂᏍᎬᎾ ᏥᎨᏎ ᎡᎶᎯ; (aiōnios )
in the hope of eternal life, which God who cannot lie, promised before the eternal times, (aiōnios )
3 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎾᎯᏳ ᎠᏎᎸᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏄᏩᏁᎴ ᎤᏤᎵ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎤᏮᏔᏁ ᎠᎵᏥᏙᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏴ ᎥᏆᎨᏅᏛᎯ ᏥᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎤᏁᏨ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎢᎩᏍᏕᎵᏍᎩ;
and manifested in his own seasons his word by preaching, with which I am intrusted, according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
4 ᏫᎬᏲᏪᎳᏏ, ᏓᏓᏏ, ᎠᏇᏥᏯᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎾᏂᎥ ᎠᏃᎯᏳᎲᏍᎩ ᎤᏃᎯᏳᏒᎢ; ᎬᏩᎦᏘᏯ ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏓᏙᎵᏣᏛᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ, ᏅᏓᏳᎾᎵᏍᎪᎸᏔᏅᎯ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎢᎩᏍᏕᎵᏍᎩ, ᏕᏣᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎮᏍᏗ.
to Titus, my beloved son according to the common faith. Grace and peace from God the Father and Jesus Christ our Saviour.
5 ᎯᎠ ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ ᏟᏗᏱ ᏨᏓᎬᏯᎧᎯᏴᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎢᏨᏁᎵᏓᏍᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᎤᏃᏒᏅᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏘᎪᏗᏱ ᏗᎨᎦᏁᎶᏗ ᏕᎦᏚᏩᏗᏒᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎢᏣᏛᏁᏗᏱ ᎬᏁᏤᎸᎢ;
Therefore I left you in Crete, in order that you may set in order remaining things, and establish elders in every city, as I commanded you;
6 ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎾᎫᎢᏍᏛᎾ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᏌᏉ ᎠᏓᏰᎮᏍᏗ, ᎠᏃᎯᏳᎲᏍᎩ ᏚᏪᎧᎮᏍᏗ ᏧᏪᏥ, ᏂᎨᏥᎳᏫᏎᎲᎾ ᏄᎾᏁᎸᎾ ᎤᎾᎴᏂᏙᎸᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏂᏚᎾᏓᏁᎶᏛᎾ.
if any one is irreproachable, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, not in accusation of riot or incorrigible.
7 ᎠᏥᎦᏘᏗᏍᏗᏰᏃ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎾᎫᎢᏍᏛᎾ ᏱᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎢᏳᏩᎿᎭᏕᎩ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ; ᎥᏝ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎠᏓᏅᏖᏍᎬ ᎤᏟ ᎤᏰᎸᎯ, ᎥᏝ ᎤᎿᎭᎸᏣᏘ, ᎥᏝ ᎩᎦᎨ-ᎠᏗᏔᏍᏗ ᎤᎦᎾᏏᏍᎩ, ᎥᏝ ᎠᏓᏛᏂᎯ, ᎥᏝ ᏧᎬᏩᎶᏗ ᎤᎬᎥᏍᎩ.
For it behooves the bishop to be blameless, as the steward of God; not audacious, not irascible, not given to wine, not a controvertist, not fond of filthy lucre;
8 ᎤᏓᏍᏆᏂᎪᏙᏗᏱᏍᎩᏂ ᎣᏏᏳ ᎤᏰᎸᎯ, ᎣᏍᏛ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎨᏳᎯ, ᎤᏴᏍᏕᏍᎩ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ, ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎢᏯᏛᏁᎯ, ᎾᏍᎦᏅᎾ, ᎤᎵᏏᎾᏍᏗ;
but hospitable, loving the good, prudent, righteous, holy, temperate;
9 ᎠᏍᏓᏯ ᏧᏂᏴᎯ ᏄᏓᎵᏓᏍᏛᎾ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎠᎨᏲᏅᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏅᏓᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᏰᎵᏉ ᏗᎬᏩᏬᏁᏙᏗ ᎣᏍᏛ ᏗᏕᏲᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎬᏗᏍᎬᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᎬᏩᎾᏙᎯᏳᎾᏁᏗ ᎢᎬᏩᏁᏗ ᏗᏂᎦᏘᎴᎩ ᎨᏒᎢ.
holding that which is according to the teaching of the faithful word, in order that he may be able both to exhort with healthy teaching, and to convict the opposers.
10 ᎤᏂᏣᏔᏰᏃ ᏂᏚᎾᏓᏁᎶᏛᎾ, ᎠᏎᏉᏉ ᎠᏂᏬᏂᏍᎩ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎾᏠᎾᏍᏗ, ᎨᎤᎬᏫᏳᎭ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏗᎨᏥᎤᏍᏕᏎᎸᎯ;
For many are incorrigible, speaking vain things and egotistical, especially those from the circumcision,
11 ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᏂᎰᎵ ᎠᏎ ᏗᎨᏥᏍᏚᏁᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎾᏂᎥ ᏏᏓᏁᎸᎯ ᎠᏁᎯ ᏗᏂᎦᏔᎲᏍᎩ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏥᏓᎾᏕᏲᎲᏍᎦ ᏂᏚᏳᎪᏛᎾ ᏥᎩ ᏧᎾᏕᏲᏗᏱ, ᏧᎬᏩᎶᏗ ᎦᏓᎭ ᎤᏂᎬᎥᏍᎬ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ.
whose mouths it is necessary to stop; who overturn whole families, teaching those things which it does not behoove, for the sake of disgraceful gain.
12 ᎩᎶ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎤᏅᏒᏉ ᎠᏁᎲ ᎡᎯ, ᎠᏙᎴᎰᏍᎩ ᎤᏅᏒᏉ ᎤᎾᏤᎵᎦ, ᎯᎠ ᏄᏪᏎᎢ, ᏟᏗᏱ ᎠᏁᎯ ᎠᏂᏰᎪᎩ ᎨᏐ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎢ, ᎤᏂᏲ ᎢᎾᎨ ᎠᏁᎯ, ᏧᏍᎦᏃᎸ ᏧᏂᏍᏉᎵᏱ.
A certain one of them, their own prophet, said, The Cretans are all liars, evil beasts, slow stomachs.
13 ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᎦᏪᏛ ᏥᎩ ᎤᎪᎯᏳᎭ. ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎠᏍᏓᏯ ᏕᎯᎬᏍᎪᎸᏅᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᎪᎸ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎤᏃᎯᏳᏒᎢ;
This testimony is true: on account of which cause convict them sharply, in order that they may be sound in the faith,
14 ᏄᎾᎦᏌᏯᏍᏛᎾᏉ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎠᏂᏧᏏ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᎸᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏴᏫᏉ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏒ ᏗᏂᎪᎸᏍᎩ ᎤᏂᏁᏨᎯ.
not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men turning away from the truth.
15 ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᎦᎸᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᏂᎦᏗᏳ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᎦᎸᎡᎸᎯ ᎨᏐᎢ; ᎾᏍᎩᏍᎩᏂ Ꮎ ᎦᏓᎭ ᎢᏳᎾᎵᏍᏔᏅᎯ ᎠᎴ ᏄᏃᎯᏳᏒᎾ, ᎥᏝ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᎦᎸᎡᎸᎯ ᏱᎨᏐᎢ; ᎾᏍᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᏚᎾᏓᏅᏛ ᎠᎴ ᏧᏄᎪᏙᏗᏱ ᎦᏓᎭ ᎢᏗᎬᏁᎸᎯ.
To the pure all things are pure: but to the corrupted and unbelieving there is nothing pure; yea, their mind and their conscience are polluted.
16 ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎾᏅᏁᎭ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎯᏳ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏚᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲ ᎢᎬᏩᏓᏱᎭ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎤᏂᏂᏆᏘᏍᏗᏳ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏃᎯᏳᎯᏍᏛ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ; ᎠᎴ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎣᏍᏛ ᏗᎦᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎨᏥᏐᏅᎢᏍᏔᏅᎯ.
They profess to know God, but deny him by their works, being abominable, and unbelieving, and reprobate unto every good work.
