ᎣᏍᏛ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᏣᏂ ᎤᏬᏪᎳᏅᎯ 16
1 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏗ ᎢᏨᏃᎮᎮᎸ, ᏗᏦᏕᏍᏗᏱ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ.
I have spoken these things to you, that you may not be offended.
2 ᏗᎦᎳᏫᎢᏍᏗᏱ ᏓᏰᏥᏄᎪᏫᏏ; ᎥᎥ, ᏛᏍᏆᎸᎯ, ᎩᎶ ᎢᏥᎯᎮᏍᏗ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᏂᏥᏯᏛᏁᎭ, ᎡᎵᏍᎨᏍᏗ.
They will put you out of the synagogues: but the hour is coming, that every one killing you may think he is offering service to God.
3 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᎾᎾᏛᏁᎮᏍᏗ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎾᏂᎦᏔᎲᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏴ ᏂᎬᎩᎦᏔᎲᎾ ᎨᏒᎢ.
And they will do these things, because they did not know the Father, nor me.
4 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏗ ᎢᏨᏃᎲᏏ, ᎠᏍᏆᎸᎲ ᎢᏣᏅᏓᏗᏍᏗᏱ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏨᏃᏁᎸᎢ. ᎠᎴ ᎥᏝ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᎬᏱᏱᏉ ᏱᏨᏃᏁᎴᎢ, ᎢᏧᎳᎭ ᎢᏕᏙᎲ ᏅᏓᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎬᎩ.
But I have spoken these things to you, that when the hour may come, you may remember them, that I did say them to you. But I said not these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
5 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᏅᏛᎩᏅᏏᏛ ᏧᏬᎸ ᏫᏥᎦᏘ, ᎥᏝᏃ ᎩᎶ ᏂᎯ ᏂᏣᏛᏅ ᏳᏓᏑᏯ ᏯᏆᏛᏛᎲᏍᎦ, ᎯᎠ ᏱᏂᎦᏪ; ᎭᏢ ᏫᎦᏘ?
But now I go to Him that sent me; and no one of you asks me, Whither goest thou?
6 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏂᏨᏪᏎᎸ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ, ᎤᏲ ᎠᏓᏅᏓᏗᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎤᎧᎵᎸ ᎢᏥᎾᏫ.
But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.
7 ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎢᏨᏃᏁᎭ; ᎣᏏᏳ ᎢᏣᎵᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᏨᏓᎨᏏ; ᎢᏳᏰᏃ ᎾᏇᏅᏒᎾ ᏱᎩ, ᎠᏓᏅᏬᎯᏍᏗᏍᎩ ᎥᏝ ᏴᎨᏥᎷᏥᏏ; ᏯᏇᏅᏍᎩᏂ ᏅᏓᏥᏅᏍᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎢᏥᎷᏤᏗᏱ.
But now I tell you the truth; it is profitable to you that I may go away. For if I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I may go, I will send Him to you.
8 ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎦᎷᏨᎭ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᏅᏓᎬᏁᎵ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎠᏍᎦᏂ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ.
And having come, He will convict the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment.
9 ᎠᏍᎦᏂ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᏂᎬᏉᎯᏳᎲᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ;
Concerning sin indeed, because they do not believe on me; and concerning righteousness;
10 ᏚᏳᎪᏛ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎡᏙᏙᏱ ᏫᏥᎦᏛᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏂᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎬᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ;
because I go to the Father, and you see me no more;
11 ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᎯᎠ ᎡᎶᎯ ᎤᏤᎵᎦ ᏣᎫᎪᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ.
and concerning judgment, because the prince of this world has been condemned.
12 ᎠᏏ ᎤᏣᏔ ᎠᎩᎷᎳ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎢᏨᏃᏁᏗ, ᎠᏎᏃ ᎪᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎥᏝ ᏰᎵ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎨᏣᏛᎪᏗ ᏱᎩ;
I have many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them now.
13 ᎦᎷᏨᎭᏍᎩᏂ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎦᏰᎪᎩ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎠᏓᏅᏙ, ᏂᎦᎥ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎨᏒ ᏙᏓᏣᏘᏂᏙᎵ, ᎥᏝᏰᏃ ᎤᏩᏒᏉ ᎤᏓᏅᏖᏛ ᏱᎧᏁᎨᏍᏗ, ᏂᎦᎥᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᏛᎩᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎧᏁᎨᏍᏗ; ᎠᎴ ᏓᏥᎾᏄᎪᏫᏎᎵ ᏧᏓᎴᏅᏛ ᎣᏂ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏔᏂᏓᏍᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ.
But when He, the Spirit of truth, may come, He will guide you in all truth: for He will not speak from Himself; but so many things as He hears, He will speak: and will proclaim to you the things which are coming.
14 ᎾᏍᎩ ᏛᎩᎸᏉᏔᏂ ᎠᏴ, ᎠᏆᏤᎵᏰᏃ ᎨᏒ ᏛᎩᏏ ᎠᎴ ᏓᏥᎾᏄᎪᏫᏎᎵ.
He will glorify me: because He will receive from mine, and proclaim them unto you.
15 ᏂᎦᎥ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᎤᎲ ᎠᏆᏤᎵᎦ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏂᏥᏫ, ᎠᏆᏤᎵᎦ ᎨᏒ ᏛᎩᏏ ᎠᎴ ᏓᏥᎾᏄᎪᏫᏎᎵ.
And all things whatsoever the Father has are mine: therefore I said, that He takes from mine, and will proclaim them to you.
16 ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎨᏍᏗ; ᎠᎴ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏔᎵᏁ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᎢᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎨᏍᏗ; ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏍᏛᏱ ᏫᏥᎦᏛᎢ.
A little while, and ye see me no more; again a little while, and ye shall see me.
17 ᎿᎭᏉᏃ ᎢᎦᏛ ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᎾᏓᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎦᏙ ᎦᏛᎦ ᎯᎠ ᏥᏂᎩᏪᏎᎭ; ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏔᎵᏁ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᎢᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎨᏍᏗ? ᎠᎴ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏍᏛᏱ ᏫᏥᎦᏛᎢ?
Then some of His disciples were saying to one another, What is this which He speaks to us, A little while, and you see me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me? and that I go to the Father?
18 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏂᏪᏒᎩ, ᎦᏙ ᎦᏛᎦ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᏣᏗᎭ? ᎥᏝ ᏲᏦᎵᎦ ᏄᏍᏛ ᎦᏛᎬᎢ.
Then they were speaking, What is this, Little while, of which He speaks? and we know not what He is talking about.
19 ᏥᏌᏃ ᎠᎦᏔᎲᎩ ᎤᎾᏚᎵᏍᎬ ᎬᏩᏛᏛᏗᏱ, ᎯᎠᏃ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏥᎪᏕᏣᏓᏛᏛᎲᏍᎦ ᎦᏛᎬᎢ ᎯᎠ ᏥᎾᎩᏪᏒᎩ; ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏔᎵᏁ ᏂᎪᎯᎸᎾᏉ ᎢᏍᎩᎪᏩᏘᏍᎨᏍᏗ?
Jesus knew that they wished to ask Him, and said to them, You are seeking with one another concerning this, because I said, A little while, and you see me no more, and again a little while, and you shall see me?
20 ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏨᏪᏎᎭ; ᏂᎯ ᏕᏥᏴᎨᏍᏗ ᎠᎴ ᎢᏥᏍᎪᏂᎮᏍᏗ, ᎡᎶᎯᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᎵᎮᎵᎨᏍᏗ; ᏂᎯᏃ ᎤᏲ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏖᏍᏗ, ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᏲ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏛ ᎤᎵᎮᎵᏍᏗ ᏮᏛᏓᏁᏟᏴᏍᏔᏂ.
Truly, truly, I say unto you, that you will weep and mourn, and the world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
21 ᎠᎨᏴ ᎤᏲ ᎤᏓᏅᏙ ᏣᏕᎲᏍᎪ ᎠᏲᎵ, ᎤᏍᏆᎸᎡᎸ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪᎢ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎦᎾᏄᎪᏩ ᎠᏲᎵ, ᎥᏝ ᎿᎭᏉ ᏯᏅᏓᏗᏍᎪ ᎡᎯᏍᏗ ᎤᏓᏅᏓᏛᎢ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪ ᎠᎵᎮᎵᎬ ᏴᏫ ᎤᎾᏄᎪᏫᏒ ᏒᎶᎯ.
When a woman may bring forth she has sorrow, because her hour has come: but when the little child may be born, she remembers her suffering no more, for the joy that a man has been born into the world.
22 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏂᎯ ᎪᎯ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏲ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏔ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏔᎵᏁ ᏛᏨᎪᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎢᏥᎾᏫ ᏛᎵᎮᎵᏥ, ᎢᏣᎵᎮᎵᎬᏃ ᎥᏝ ᎩᎶ ᏴᎨᏥᎩᏏ.
Therefore you indeed also now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one taketh your joy from you.
23 ᎾᎯᏳᏃ ᎢᎦ ᎥᏝ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏱᏍᎩᏯᏛᏛᎲᏍᎨᏍᏗ. ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯᏯ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏨᏪᏎᎭ; ᏂᎦᎥ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᎡᏥᏔᏲᏎᎮᏍᏗ, ᏓᏆᏙᎥ ᎢᏨᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎠᏎ ᎡᏥᏁᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
And in that day you will ask of me nothing. Truly, truly, I say unto you, Whatsoever you may ask the Father, He will give it to you in my name.
24 ᎪᎯ ᎢᏯᏍᏗ ᎥᏝ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᏱᏥᏔᏲᏍᏔᏃ ᎠᏴ ᏓᏉᏙᎥᎢ. ᎢᏥᏔᏲᎭ ᏓᏰᏥᏁᎵᏃ, ᎢᏣᎵᎮᎵᎬ ᎤᎧᎵᎢᏍᏗᏱ.
Until now you have asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, in order that your joy may be full.
25 ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏗ ᎢᏨᏃᎮᎮᎸ ᎤᏦᏍᏗ ᎪᎵᏍᏗᏱ ᎠᏋᏔᏅ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᏛᏍᏆᎸᎯ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎥᏝ ᏱᏨᏯᎵᏃᎮᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎤᏦᏍᏗ ᎪᎵᏍᏗᏱ ᎬᏗ, ᎬᏂᎨᏒᎢᏳᏍᎩᏂ ᏓᏨᎾᏄᎪᏫᏎᎵ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᎢ.
I have spoken these things unto you in parables; the hour comes, when I shall no longer speak to you in parables, but openly will I proclaim to you concerning the Father.
26 ᎾᎯᏳ ᎢᎦ ᏓᏆᏙᎥ ᎢᏥᏔᏲᏍᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ; ᎥᏝᏃ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᏓᏥᏯᏓᏙᎵᏍᏓᏁᎵ ᏂᎯ ᎢᏥᏍᏕᎸᏗᏱ ᏱᏨᏲᏎᎭ;
In that clay you shall ask in my name: and I do not say, that I will ask the Father for you;
27 ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏰᏃ ᎤᏩᏒ ᎢᏥᎨᏳᎭ, ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᏍᎩᎨᏳᎢᏳ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎢᏦᎯᏳᏅ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏱ ᏅᏛᏆᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ.
for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved me as a friend, and you have believed that I came out from God.
28 ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏍᏛᏱ ᏗᏆᏓᎴᏅ, ᎡᎶᎯ ᎠᎩᎷᏥᎸ; ᏔᎵᏁ ᎡᎶᎯ ᏛᎦᏓᏅᏏ, ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏍᏛᏱ ᏮᏛᏥᎶᏏ.
I came out from the Father, and have come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
29 ᎬᏩᏍᏓᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎯᎠ ᏅᎬᏩᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᎬᏂᏳᏉ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎬᏂᎨᏒᎢᏳ ᎯᏁᎦ, ᎥᏝᏃ ᎤᏦᏍᏗ ᎪᎵᏍᏗᏱ ᏱᏁᎦ.
His disciples say; Behold, now you are talking openly, and speaking no parable.
30 ᎿᎭᏉ ᎣᏥᎦᏔᎭ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎯᎦᏔᎯᏳ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎠᏎᏉᏉ ᎨᏒ ᎩᎶ ᏱᏨᏛᏛᎲᏍᎦ. ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᎭ ᎣᏦᎯᏳᎲᏍᎦ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯᏱ ᏅᏓᏣᏓᎴᏅᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ.
Now we know that you know all things, and have no need that any one may ask you: in this we believe that you came out from God.
31 ᏥᏌ ᎯᎠ ᏂᏚᏪᏎᎸᎩ; ᏥᎪ ᎿᎭᏉ ᎢᏦᎯᏳᎲᏍᎦ?
Jesus responded to them, Do you now believe?
32 ᎬᏂᏳᏉ ᏛᏍᏆᎸᎯ, ᎥᎥ, ᎿᎭᏉᎤᏍᏆᎸᎲ, ᎢᏣᏗᎦᎴᏲᎢᏍᏗᏱ, ᏂᏥᎥ ᎢᏥᏏᏴᏫᎭ ᏙᏗᏤᏅᏒ ᎢᏗᏢ, ᎠᎴ ᏓᏍᎩᏴᏕᏥ ᎠᏋᏒᏉ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ; ᎥᏝᏍᎩᏂᏃᏅ ᎠᏋᎡ ᏱᎩ, ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨᏰᏃ ᏔᎵ ᏅᏛᏗᏕᎦ.
Behold, the hour cometh, and is already come, that you must be scattered abroad, each one to his own place, and leave me alone: I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 ᎾᏍᎩ ᏄᏍᏗ ᎯᎠ ᎢᏨᏃᎮᎮᎸ ᎠᏴ ᏅᏩᏙᎯᏯᏛ ᎢᏨᏯᏓᏅᏓᏗᏍᏙᏗᏱ. ᎡᎶᎯ ᎤᏕᏯᏙᏗ ᏓᏥᏩᏛᎯ; ᎠᏎᏃ ᎤᎦᎵᏍᏗᏉ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏖᏍᏗ; ᎠᏴ ᏥᏎᎪᎩᏒ ᎡᎶᎯ.
I have spoken these things to you, in order that you may have peace in me. In the world you have tribulation: but take courage; I have conquered the world.
