Zacarias 12
1 Ang palas-anon sa pulong ni Jehova mahitungod sa Israel: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova, nga nagabuklad sa mga langit, ug nagabutang sa patukoranan sa yuta, ug nagahimo sa espiritu sa tawo sulod kaniya;
[This is] a message from Yahweh concerning Israel. Yahweh is the one who stretched out the sky, who created the earth, and who (gave life to humans/caused humans to be alive). This is what he says:
2 Ania karon, himoon ko ang Jerusalem nga usa ka copa sa pagsamparay sa atubangan sa tanang mga katawohan nga nagalibut kaniya, ug sa Juda usab mahitabo ang paglibut sa pag-asdang batok sa Jerusalem.
“I will soon cause Jerusalem to be [like] [MET] a cup full [of very strong alcoholic drink], and the people of other nations who drink it will stagger around. And they will come and attack Jerusalem and [the other towns in] Judah.
3 Ug niadtong adlawa mahitabo nga ang Jerusalem himoon ko nga usa ka mabug-at nga bato alang sa tanang mga katawohan; ang tanan nga nagapabug-at sa ilang kaugalingon tungod kaniya pagasamaran sa hilabihan; ug ang tanang mga nasud sa yuta magatigum sa tingub batok kaniya.
At that time, [the armies of] all the nations will gather to attack Jerusalem, but I will cause [the leaders of] Judah to be [like] [SIM] a very heavy rock, and all who [try to] lift it will be badly injured.
4 Niadtong adlawa, nagaingon si Jehova, akong samaran sa kalisang ang tagsatagsa ka kabayo, ug sa kabuang ang nagkabayo kaniya; ug akong bukhon ang akong mga mata ibabaw sa balay sa Juda, ug akong butaan ang tagsatagsa ka kabayo sa mga katawohan.
At that time I will cause every [one of their enemies’] horses to panic, and their riders to become crazy. I [IDM] will protect the people of Judah, but I will cause all their enemies’ horses to become blind.
5 Ug ang mga pangulo sa Juda magaingon diha sa ilang kasingkasing: Ang mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem mao ang akong kalig-on diha kang Jehova sa mga panon nga ilang Dios.
Then the leaders of Judah will say to themselves, ‘The people in Jerusalem are strong because the Commander of the armies of angels is their God.’
6 Niadtong adlawa ang mga pangulo sa Juda himoon ko nga ingon sa bagahan sa kalayo taliwala sa sugnod, ug ingon sa sulo nga nagsiga taliwala sa usa ka bugkos nga dagami; ug sila magalamoy sa tanang mga katawohan nga nagalibut kanila, sa kamot nga too ug sa kamot nga wala; ug ang mga taga-Jerusalem magapuyo pa pag-usab sa ilang kaugalingong dapit, bisan sa Jerusalem.
At that time I will enable the leaders of Judah to be like [SIM] a pan containing hot coals [that is put] in a woodpile [to set it on fire], or like [SIM] a burning torch [that is put] in a [field of] ripe grain [to set it on fire]. The leaders of Judah [and their army] will destroy the people of the surrounding nations in all directions. But [the people of] Jerusalem will remain safe.
7 Si Jehova usab magaluwas pag-una sa mga balong-balong sa Juda, aron ang himaya sa balay ni David ug ang himaya sa mga nagapuyo sa Jerusalem dili pagpadakuon labaw sa himaya sa Juda.
And [I], Yahweh, will protect the tents of [the soldiers in other places in] Judah before [I rescue the people of Jerusalem], in order that the leaders of Jerusalem [DOU] will not be honored more than [the people in other places in] Judah [are honored].
8 Niadtong adlawa si Jehova magapanalipod sa mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem; ug kadtong maluyahon sa taliwala nila niadtong adlawa mahisama kang David; ug ang balay ni David mahisama sa Dios, sanglit ang manulonda ni Jehova anaa sa atubangan nila.
At that time, I will protect [MET] the people of Jerusalem. When that happens, even the weakest people in Jerusalem will be [strong] like [King] David [was]. And the descendants [MTY] of David will [rule the people] like I [would], as though an angel sent from [me], Yahweh, was their leader.
9 Ug mahitabo niadtong adlawa nga tinguhaon ko ang paglaglag sa tanang mga nasud nga moanhi batok sa Jerusalem.
At that time, I will prepare to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.”
10 Ug igabubo ko ibabaw sa balay ni David, ug sa mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem, ang espiritu sa gracia ug sa mga pagpangamuyo; ug sila motutok kanako nga ilang gipalagbasan; ug sila magabalata tungod kaniya ingon sa usa nga magabalata tungod sa iyang anak nga lalakeng bugtong, ug maga-antus sa kapait tungod kaniya, ingon sa usa nga nagaantus sa kapait tungod sa iyang panganay nga anak.
“I, [Yahweh, ] will cause the descendants [MTY] of [King] David to act very kindly and mercifully. They will look at me, [the one] who has been stabbed, and they will cry bitterly, like people cry for a firstborn son [who has died] [DOU].
11 Niadtong adlawa may daku kaayo nga pagbalata diha sa Jerusalem, ingon sa pagbangotan sa Adadrimon sa walog sa Megiddo.
At that time, many people in Jerusalem will be crying bitterly, like people cried [when King Josiah was killed in the battle] at Hadad-Rimmon on the Megiddo Plain.
12 Ug ang yuta magabalata, tagsatagsa ka banay magalain pagbalata; ang banay sa balay ni David magalain; ug ang ilang mga asawa magalain; ang banay sa balay sa mga Simeihanon magalain, ug ang ilang mga asawa magalain;
Many people in Judah will cry, each family by themselves: the male descendants of David by themselves, and their wives by themselves, the male descendants of [David’s son] Nathan by themselves, and their wives by themselves,
13 Ang banay sa balay ni Levi magalain, ug ang ilang mga asawa magalain; ang banay sa mga Simeihanon magalain, ug ang ilang mga asawa magalain;
the male descendants [MTY] of Levi by themselves, and their wives by themselves, the male descendants of [Levi’s grandson] Shimei by themselves, and their wives by themselves,
14 Ang tanang mga banay nga nanghibilin, tagsatagsa ka banay magalain, ug ang ilang mga asawa magalain.
and all the other members [of the kings’ clans and the priests’ clans] by themselves, and their wives by themselves.”
