Mga Salmo 82

1 Ang Dios nagatindog sa katilingban sa Dios; Sa taliwala sa mga dios nagahukom siya.

God gathers all the [rulers and judges who think they are] gods for a meeting in heaven; and he tells them that he has decided this:

2 Hangtud anus-a ba magahukom kamo nga walay katul-id, Ug palabihon ang pagkatawo sa mga dautan? (Selah)

“You must [RHQ] stop judging [people] unfairly; you must no longer make decisions that favor wicked [people]!

3 Labani ang kabus ug ang mga ilo: Buhata ang justicia sa mga sinakit ug sa makalolooy.

You must defend [people who are] poor and orphans; you must act fairly toward those who are needy and those who have no one to help them.

4 Tabangan mo ang mga kabus ug ang mga hangul: Luwasa (sila) gikan sa mga kamot sa dautan.

Rescue them from the power [MTY] of evil [people] [DOU]!”

5 (Sila) wala manghibalo, ni makasabut (sila) Magalakaw (sila) ngadto ug nganhi sa kangitngitan: Ang tanang mga patukoranan sa yuta nangauyog.

[Those rulers] do not know or understand anything! They are very corrupt/evil, and [as a result of their corrupt/evil behavior], [it is as though] the foundation of the world is being shaken!

6 Ako miingon: Kamo mao ang mga dios, Ug kamong tanan mga anak sa Hataas Uyamut.

I [the all-powerful God, previously] said to them, “You think you are gods! [It is as though] you are all my sons,

7 Apan bisan pa niini kamo mangamatay sama sa mga tawo, Ug mangapukan sama sa usa sa mga principe.

but you will die like people do; your lives will end, like the lives of all rulers end.”

8 Tumindog ka, Oh Dios, hukmi ang yuta; Kay ikaw magapanunod sa tanang mga nasud.

God, arise and judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth, because all the people-groups belong to you!
